Toronto over Anaheim.

The Leafs are absolutely loaded up front -- I can't think of any other team with a 20-goal scorer on their 4th line -- and Frederik Andersen is an above average starter. They could use one more quality defenseman but I wouldn't be surprised to see them pick one up along the way.

As for the Ducks, I really like their team and think they're going to be a handful once Hampus Lindholm, Ryan Kesler, Patrick Eaves, Sami Vatanen, et all get healthy. They seem to be flying under the radar a little bit so, naturally, this will be the year they do very well.

Washington over Edmonton

I know almost everyone expects the Capitals to take a step back, and that their window for success might be closing quickly. I think this is when they will jump up and silence the nay-sayers, exorcise some playoff demons and get the monkey off their back in a big way. The Oilers make hockey fun again out west and these two offensive-centric finalists make it the most watched Stanley Cup finals in a long, long time. Ovie gets the ring he has been chasing, and the Oilers learn the lesson in 2018 that the 1983 Oilers learned before they became the last real dynasty.

Peter Tessier

I hate doing this so early but that’s why they are really guess predictions.

I have Nashville over Toronto in the final. I think the Preds buck the trend of the loser fading off and come back stronger than ever. I also have Toronto being a strong contender and adding depth later in the season but eventually get ground down in the final by a hungrier and more desperate Nashville squad looking to avenge last year.
