What to Wear: Bun B makes it rain for Cinema Arts Festival

Bun B knows his way around a photo shoot.

With less than a week until his much-anticipated rendition of "Singin' in the Rain: A Houston and Cinema Arts Celebration" - which commemorates the iconic film's 65th anniversary, showcases the city's post-Hurricane Harvey resilience and serves as motif-elect for a string of remixed performances - the Houston rapper and Rice University lecturer is poking through high-end rain gear courtesy of the Webster.

"This brand is known mainly for their footwear," he says. "Their clothing is still kind of rare."

Bun, as his friends call him, is also game to try on a tortoise shell Givenchy bucket hat. And Maison Michel's gingham-lined, classic khaki version, too.

But that's not all, he's brought accessories from home as well. There's a spanking-new T-shirt from an emerging Japanese label ("they're friends of mine") and a camouflage World Series baseball cap in addition to the Astros tee and G-Star RAW denim that he's already wearing.

If it's camo and Astros orange that Bun's after, there's a military-patterned Valentino hoodie, complete with sports stripes, hanging on the Webster's rack. Paired with Gucci's "Eugene" boot - which our model prefers over a Kanye West Yeezy style - we have a haute waterproof "look" fine for "Singing in the Rain" or singing in the rain.

His wife, Angela "Queenie" Walls, documents Bun's effortless maneuvering through on-theme poses via Instagram live (@therealtrillionaires). He checks an imaginary sky for imaginary raindrops. He leaps over imaginary rain puddles, Gene Kelly-style, with the greatest of ease.

It's all just practice for the Saturday performance at White Oaks Music Hall. And with actual thunderstorms in the forecast, grab an umbrella from CVS Pharmacy (like the one pictured here), if designer outerwear isn't within your rainy-day fund.
