The AA has demanded that its former chairman hand back more than £1 million in bonuses after allegations of a second incident of misconduct.

Bob Mackenzie, 64, was ousted in August after a physical confrontation with Mike Lloyd, the AA’s head of insurance. He was deemed to have committed “gross misconduct”.

The company has recently told Mr Mackenzie that he must repay bonuses for 2016 and 2017, which add up to more than £1 million, Sky News reported.

A third party has apparently reported another public confrontation involving Mr Mackenzie. Neither he nor the AA would comment.
