MISSAUKEE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Michigan State Police is asking for your help finding two people who went missing in Missaukee County.

Friday crews were still out looking for the missing couple with a helicopter and ground grid search.

An endangered missing advisory has been issued for 19-year-old Alexandria Marie Foust and 34-year-old Jeff William Hurley.

They were last seen in Prudenville Tuesday afternoon, but their vehicle was found in an area near Moorestown, by Deadstream Swamp in Missaukee County.

Michigan State Police started looking for the couple Wednesday afternoon, after two hunters reported the vehicle, which was found stuck in the mud off a two-track.

Sgt. Scott Bates says the hunters heard cries for help in the woods while they were hunting, around 7:00 am Wednesday.

The two searched for the people out of concern, but only found the vehicle and the couple's wallets and IDs.

K-9 units and air teams were brought in to help search.

MSP, Missaukee County Sheriff's Department and the Department of Natural Resources are all assisting.

Bates says there is concern for the couple's safety, because of the weather.

"They had no survival gear they had no cold weather gear and it appeared they may have been there since Tuesday afternoon," Bates said.

A friend told investigators the couple left Prudenville Tuesday around 2:00 pm and was en route to Cadillac, but never showed up.

Friends, family, and investigators are all puzzled as to why the couple would have been in the area where their vehicle was found.

"We have no known contacts in this area," Bates said. "This is a heavily wooded area, swamp area near the Dead Stream Swamp area which is typically an area used by hunters this time of year."

Investigators report that there are no signs of foul play.

"There's no signs of struggle," Bates said. "We haven't found any information that would lead us to believe that there is any hatred brought about on these two individuals."

Foust is described as five feet, five inches, and 130 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Hurley is five feet, ten inches, and 195 pounds.

Police believe they could be together. If you have any information, you're asked to call Michigan State Police.
