Coutts, Softball Ink 10 for 2018 Recruiting Class

Orono, Maine – University of Maine head softball coach Mike Coutts has announced the Black Bears' 10 incoming recruits who will make up the softball class of 2022.

"I am excited to announce our 2018 recruiting class (2022 graduates)," said Coutts. "This is the biggest class we have had since Lynn, Jordan and I have been coaching at UMaine. We will graduate eight seniors this year and this class will fill in nicely.

This class epitomized all that we look for in student-athletes: great character, strong academically and good softball skill and experience. This class will be expected to add a great deal to our program and to mesh with the current players to help take our program to another level. This group has a great mix of athleticism and versatility and, with the exception of the pitchers, all play multiple positions. We are extremely happy to welcome them to our family."
