Play Nine Before Nine

We have a new program designed to get you to play more golf.
Every evening after 5:00PM if you come out and play at least 9 holes you will be entered in a drawing for a $100 gift certificate. You can bring a guest and the fee will be ½ price, after 5:00PM. Each time you do this, you as a member will be entered again for a chance to win. So if you have a guest that gives you two entries.
We will have a drawing each month from May thru August. If you need more info please contact us in the Pro Shop
Senior Open Golf Tournament
Wednesday, June 12th
Time: 9:00AM shotgun start.
Entry Fee: $35 per person plus carts.
Format: Age 60 and above, Individual play ball, 18 holes.
Includes: Deli Lunch and Prizes.
Prizes: Pro shop credit for gross and net winners.
Deadline: Tuesday June 11 at 5:30pm.
Limited: First 80 to sign up
Dog Days Golf Tournament
Friday, June 14th
Time: 12:00 Noon shotgun.
Entry Fee: $500 for a team of 4 players
Format: 4 person teams playing scramble
Prizes: Gross and Net, pro shop gift certificates.
If you have never played in the Dog Days Tournament you need to look at getting involved in this great event. The proceeds go to help the Lufkin Humane Society. They help find homes for great pets. I hope you can put together a team and come on out and play with us.
Couples Golf Scramble
Saturday, June 15th
Time: 6:00PM Shotgun
Format: 2 person teams playing scramble.
Entry Fee: $15 per Couple plus carts.
Babysitting included.
Men's Classic Member-Guest
Thursday, through Saturday, June 20th – 22nd
Entry Fee: $495 per team. Can be charged May, June and July $150 each month.
Includes: Practice round, 2 days tournament golf, tee gifts, Thursday night welcome party with light hors d’oeuvres, Friday night entertainment party, lunch on Friday and Saturday.
Format: 2 man teams playing Quota.
Deadline: Sunday, June 16th at 5:00pm
Entry Form and Details: Can be obtained in the Pro Shop.

Format: 2 Man Scramble
Entry Fee: $500 per team
Includes: 2 rounds of tournament golf, Prizes, Saturday Business Meeting Party with light hors d’oeuvres and Sunday breakfast and lunch.
Tees: Will be based on team handicap.
Players must have established handicap.
U.S.G.A. rules govern all play.
We reserve the right to flight all teams and make all decisions on all matters.
Tournament will be flighted by the tournament committee.
Prize money and flights based on full field of 4 flights.

Details:
Entry Fee: $25 includes, golf and prizes
Format: Match play competition. First two rounds of matches and semifinals of consolation matches are to be set up between players. Finals are all played on May 18. Flights will be based on handicap. If there is a 4 shot difference in handicaps, shots would be applied, otherwise there would not be any shots given for the match. The format will be double elimination. If you lose once, you will fall into the consolation portion of Match Play. If you lose twice you would be eliminated. As long as you keep winning, you will keep moving towards the championship match for your flight.
Flights: Flights will be done in groups of 8, based on handicap.
Tees: We will be using white tees and gold tees based on where handicap is established.
Final Round of Consolation Matches: play starts at 9:30a.m. tee times.
Championship Matches: play starts approx. 10:00a.m. tee times.
At the conclusion of play we will have an Awards Presentation.

We have continued to make improvements in the indoor training area, new lighting, and TV screens in this area to help you see where you need to improve. We have upgraded this area with new flooring and wall areas the make the echo go away. This will allow us throughout the year to continue growing golf here at Crown Colony. The more people in the region who realize what Crown Colony has to offer, the more members and guest we will have here.
Some of the things we have to offer are:
1: TrackMan for short game, full swings and club fitting.
2: SuperSpeed training system for increasing clubhead speed.
3: A slow-motion video system which will help you improve mechanics.
4: Coming soon will be our indoor golf simulator, which is the next step to consistency. When you can’t play outdoors you will be able to play indoors.
