A PIZZA factory worker is fighting for his life after being repeatedly stabbed in a savage street attack last night.

Eddie Sutherland, 28, suffered chest wounds in the murder bid, with witnesses claiming he was attacked as he went to help a drunk woman who fell out of the passenger side of a car at around 10pm.

An eyewitness said Mr Sutherland was just 50 yards from his work with his pet husky and a pal when a drunk woman tumbled out the passenger seat of a white car and confronted him in Lambhill, Glasgow.

One said: “She fell on the road. He went to see if she was OK.

“They were yelling abuse.

"He said they’d had a run-in earlier.”

Eddie left a trail of blood as he staggered to a convenience store and collapsed outside.

The Victor Pizza employee, of the city’s Parkhouse, was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary after Monday’s 10pm horror.

His condition was described as “critical but stable”.

Cops combed the area today and laid out evidence markers.

A spokesman said: “Inquiries are ongoing.”
