The heat in London is about to skyrocket despite a spell of cooler temperatures.

After the Met Office forecast a two-week heatwave, we've now got more of an insight into what next week will look like day by day.

And you're going to need your electric fans.

After a couple of cooler days in comparison on Thursday (July 18) and Friday (July 19), the weekend will start to heat up, moving into the mid-twenties.

But that's just your pre-cursor.

Next Monday will zoom up to 28C before hitting a sweltering 32C on Tuesday.

This marks such a shock change in temperature that a UK temperature anomaly chart has turned black with heat, The Express reports.

The WxCHARTS 850Pa temperature anomaly map indicates how the temperature differs from what is average at that time of year, and next week turns red then black with heat.

The high temperatures are forecast to stick around on Wednesday and Thursday next week and, while it will still be hot, it is predicted to move back down to the mid twenties at the weekend.

Londoners actually burst into flames if it gets above 25°C
This will be you next week

Monday

As you head to the office on the first day of the working week, you'll start to notice a rise in temperature, especially if you have to endure a packed Tube on your commute.

The day will begin fairly moderately, with the Met Office predicting it will be about 19C at 10am.

But it will start to get very hot very quickly so that by the time you go out for lunch, it is forecast to be 25C and then by 4pm it will have reached 28C.

You're in for a hot night as it will stay at 28C into the evening, predicted to still be 25C by 10pm.

Tuesday

Tuesday will reach 32C!

When you wake up on Tuesday there will unfortunately be no relief.

It's expected to already be 24C by 10am and as for lunchtime - you're going to need your suncream if you plan to sit outside.

It's expected to be 29C by 1pm and reach 31C by 4pm. At its highest, the temperature is forecast to reach 32C. Hopefully your office has air con!

Wednesday

Mid week will follow a very similar pattern.

The highest temperature is forecast to be one degree cooler than Tuesday at 31C but then we're sure it will feel much hotter than that anyway, it is London after all.

The evening will stay hot and still be 26C at 10pm, likely making it difficult for a lot of us to sleep.

There's not going to be much relief from the heat

Thursday

One again, Thursday will reach a sizzling high of 31C and remain roasting into the evening, offering us little relief.
