A little-town, sweet romance that stole my heart! Tyler and Ashley are such a wonderful couple. He is strong, caring, somewhat old-fashioned, yet an alpha dirty-talker through and through. And also gifted to me from the author, so back off ladies - I have it in writing.
Ashley is funny, warm and caring and they play off each other so well.
Their chemistry is hot, their romance wonderful, and the book has some great moments that make your heart race- all for different reasons (no spoilers!)
The perfect read snuggled under a blanket on a cool autumn night!

Beauty and the Badge was a classic Ella Fox novel chock full of steamy romance, a smidge of suspense, and incredibly lovable characters! I was sucked in right from the get-go! She paints such a lovely picture of not only the characters, but the location and everything they do....I felt as though I was there too! I really hope she writes more books from this world as I love all of the supporting roles in this book! If you're looking for a hot, sweet, and good-for-the heart small town romance, then look no further! Five ALL THE SMALL TOWN FEELS Stars!

I freaking loved what Ella Fox has created with this story, and I can't wait for the next book. It had everything you could want in a romance story. Excitement, PASSION and fantastic characters who had me hooked.

The story from that opening chapter with the boss from HELL Hadley Mills, can I say what a bitch. Seriously she scared me and Ashley our leading lady has the patience of a saint. God how she endured that torture is beyond me.

Ashley is likeable and relatable character. When her life takes a dramatic turn she makes the decision to leave L.A and return to Charlottes Cove it's the best thing she's ever done. The place holds so many happy memories for her and she knows it's the place she needs to be.

With a home already there and a new job at the Charlotte's Cove Police department it's time for a new beginning. Her future is looking bright. And it gets even brighter when her eyes land on the sheriff her new boss and neighbour. The attraction between these two is HOT and it's going to get hotter.

Tyler Jameson 'even his name is sexy' is our lead male. He's such an Alpha male and he knows instantly when he sees Ashley that there's something there. The chemistry just explodes off the pages. And it's a slow burn. But what a burn and when these two finally come together it'll melt you into a quivery mess.

Just when you think it's all going so well enters the mean girl from Ashley's past. You'd think people would grow and mature but this will have you wanting to reach in and slap her yourself.

This series is going to be an addiction that I'm on board with.

I am having the greatest time being a romance reader these days and this story is partly why!!

Okay, so you know that giddy feeling you get when you read a romance set in a small town. You know the one ... the one where you can't help the smile on your face because it's so damn charming and everything from the meddling old ladies to the mean girl from high school is part of the story?

This story has all that and a blast of sexy heat on the side all wrapped up in a cocoon of emotions! I'm in love with this story ya'll ... seriously in love!

So other than a few novellas I haven't read any books by Ella Fox, but when I got an email saying she was the newest author of Boom Publishing I was all in. I am slightly obsessed with Aurora Rose Reynolds writing and if she's putting her stamp of alpha approval on this it's a no brainer.

And I'm really happy I jumped in. It was very similar to everything I love about Aurora Rose Reynolds books. It had the overly protective "babe" growling alpha. It had the law enforcement hero. The danger and drama that makes the story interesting. And a heroine who isn't a doormat.

Ashley and Tyler were great together from the first meeting. And I really loved the secondary characters and the small town setting. The story kept my interest and the chemistry was great. Tyler had the dirty talking down to an art form. And he delivered everything he promised.

I can't wait to see where this series is going after such a solid introduction.

It's been 4 years since I first read this and we still don't have another book in this series. I'm just going to assume this was it. I still enjoyed it, but the Rita drama annoyed me more this time around. Still loved the couple though.

I really enjoyed this and can’t wait for more in this town. Seriously, I wanted to pack up and leave Houston for the quaint and adorable town of Charlotte’s Cove. This was my first read by Ella Fox and I can’t figure out why I waited so long to pick one up.

From the first meeting between Ashley and Tyler, there were sparks of chemistry. The author really did throw it all in this book. I was begging them to stop fighting about what was happening between them.

“I want you, Ashley. All the fucking time, you’re what I’m thinking about.”

Tyler was so Alpha that it hurt and I couldn’t get enough. Ashley was sweet and kind and I can see why he fell so fast for her. Everyone knew that they would be perfect together and I couldn’t help but squeal when they finally took the plunge into a relationship. Also, the sex scenes were so HOT!

This does include a bit of OW drama that I didn’t really care for but I can see how it added to the plot of the story. Even with that, it was still low angst and we all know that I adore that.

If it weren’t for the drama, I would have loved this completely. I can’t wait for the rest of the series to release and I wonder who the next book will be about. Maybe our favorite female cop? I can only hope!

I received an ARC for an honest review. The quote was taken from an ARC and is subject to change upon publication.

5 ‘ To me, Charlotte’s Cove is Perfect’ Stars

BEAUTY AND THE BADGE hit just all the right spots! Tyler and Ashley’s love story is small town romance heaven! A super sweet heroine, a dirty talking Alpha and the most endearing secondary characters and beautiful setting, with just the perfect hint of suspense. This book really gave me all warm feelings, and that ending… Perfection!

After a series of events, Ashley decides to start over and move from California to the place of her happiest memories, her summer vacations while growing up, she always felt a deep connection with Charlotte’s Cove, and now it’s her change to start over. To find her happiness. She just had no idea that right there, in the small island, her HEA – in the form of a smoking HOT chief of police- was about to start…

My grandfather used to joke that it was like I was called to the island, and I’d have to agree. There’s magic here.

Immediately after their first meeting, where they feel that instant connection, and the sparks, that I so adore, fly, it was amazing to witness their relationship developing, even with some crazy bumps on the way, lol. Tyler was the definition of Alpha with a capital A! Lordy, was that man swoony. Yes, he made some errors that come to bite him in the @ss, but what man doesn’t?! His absolute focus on Ashley since that first moment, his work on charming her, but still never truly letting her go, was as delicious as that dirty talking of his. This man is HAWT in every level, so his love and devotion just raised that hotness to a whole new degree!

Ashley, even considering her insecurities – that just made her more real for me! – was one of the sweetest and most endearing of heroines. Her strength, her motivation, were inspiring, and added to her unawareness of her beauty, just made her even more the perfect pairing for this Alphaness that is Tyler!

Forget about spider senses—I’ve got Tyler senses.

Some kisses are slow. Some are desperate. Some are sensual. Some are a promise. This kiss is all of the above and then some.

Ms. Fox truly has in Beauty and The Badge every single element of a winning formula: an amazing heroine, the best of Alphas, beautiful setting, plenty of hilarious moments, scorching hot sex scenes – not to talk about of the insane chemistry going on! – and just a hint of suspense. In Tyler and Ashley’s story we really have it ALL, and so beautifully crafted that there is no chance of not falling for these characters, and this small town.

After Beauty and the Badge, the incredible soulmate love story and all those oh so enticing secondary characters – aka Tyler’s crew – plus that memorable and charming setting, Ella Fox managed to hook me so completely that now DYING for the second book! Can’t wait to see whom are going to be the victims of the ‘matchmaking club’!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

“I love you too,” I answer, my voice rock steady.
That earns me a smile and a quick kiss. “That’s the best damn thing I’ve heard all day,” he says. “You’re stuck with me now.”
I smile dreamily. “I wouldn’t want it any other way,”

Spoilers ahead

Ashley leaves the city and her horrible boss behind after she was held at gunpoint during a robbery. She goes back to the small town where she frequently spent time with her grandfather to the house he left her. She gets a job working for the police and meets the Chief who's the sexiest man she's ever seen. The attraction between them is mutual until Ashley finds out he was involved with her high school nemesis Rita who starts harassing them but the H finally gets an in with the girl of his dreams and he doesn't hesitate in making her his. But Rita is back for revenge after the H's actions caused her plans to go up in smoke

**********
What I disliked
Too much Rita, she was the bad guy of the plot so a lot of time is spent on her dumb actions that escalate into an attack on the h

I understand Rita was whack but the H goes on and on about how she's a bitch and he can't stand her but the fact remains that he DID have sex with the nut job Rita

The overused plot of a "different" h, of course she's sweet and loveable and doesn't know how attractive she is and never had a m an get her off as hard as the H given her very lackluster two previous sex partners. I rolled my eyes so hard I'm still waiting for them to return to the correct position!i

What I liked

I got some ARR vibes from the possessive bossy H and that's always a plus in my book

The sexy times, yummy! Well done sex can up my rating a lot lol

The insta, I'm all for relationship building but I've got very limited patience. As much as Rita getting so much time annoyed me I actually prefer my mcs to be into each other quickly and build from there. I like that the problems in the relationship are external and there wasn't any couple separation even though the problem was Rita. I hate waiting till 50% or later for the mcs to get their shit together so that aspect worked for me

This was a quick, sexy read

All in all I think in a different mood I wouldn't have been so irritated at some of the things in this book but at this point I had some issues. Nonetheless it was a good enough read for a couple hours

H had a ONS with crazy Rita months before he met the h but didn't seem to have been with anyone else after
h had 2 sexual partners before H
OW drama
No cheating
No condoms after clean test results

3.5-4 “ Ashley & Tyler “ stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Eventually he rolls onto his side, taking me with him. With my head on his shoulder, I relax and enjoy the way he holds me. Once again, I feel treasured.

This is the second book that I have read by this author and her writing style is just what I love. When I came across this and read the synopsis, I eagerly wanted to get my hands on it and kept counting off the days till its release. I love a good small town romance especially when the hero is a cop.

We meet Ashley in this book who moves to Charlotte cove to start over and live the life she’s always wanted, one away from the hustle of the cities. She used to come to Charlotte cove with her grandparents during summer vacations and was in love with the place. She meets Tyler, who happens to be the chief of police at the precinct and her boss. where she works. She’s really sweet, down to earth, caring and her chemistry was sizzling with Tyler.

Tyler was the perfect book boyfriend. He had all the alpha man quality. He was so sweet with Ashley and helped her feel sexy and confident about herself. He was one hell of a dirty talker too. I couldn’t get enough.

”I love you too,” I answer, my voice rock steady.
That earns me a smile and a quick kiss.
“That’s the best damn thing I’ve heard all day,” he says. “You’re stuck with me now.”
I smile dreamily. “I wouldn’t want it any other way,” I tell him.

They both complemented each other really well. Their personalities were really similar. I enjoyed that there wasn’t too much drama involved. The secondary characters were just as sweet. I especially loved Millie and her match making skills.

I thinks it’s a good start to a new series. If you’re looking for sweet, steamy and short romance, I recommend this one. It will definitely leave a smile on your face. ♥️

Ella Fox never fails to impress me when it comes to her books and her words and her characters but y'all, this brand new book in this brand new series is her BEST work to date. Sexy. Sweet. Swoony. Suspenseful. All the feels with one swoony, unforgettable hero. Beauty and the Badge blew every expectation I had and I could not put this standalone book down for for a single moment.

After an incident that shakes Ashley to her core, she moves to Charlotte's Cove hoping for a new, fresh start. On her first day at her new job she finds that her boss, the police chief, is everything she didn't know she needed. Tyler knows from the moment he sees her that she's his one and he'll stop at nothing to claim her body and heart. But love isn't easy all the time and it's bound to get complicated for a tick or two. But Tyler is determined that Ashley will be his and no--thing or one will get in his way.

SWOOOOOOON to the max. Ashley and Tyler lit up my kindle from the very second they landed and oh my goodness! All the heat. All the passion. All the chemistry.. I raced through their journey, devouring every moment they gave and then I went and did it all over again. #noragrets

These two firmly made themselves my favorite Ella couple and left me wanting so much more from Charlotte's Cove.

Can I say I'm crazy excited to see where this series is headed next? Pins and needles y'all!

I highly recommend this book.

I loved this story! Tyler was gone for Ashley the moment they met. Circumstances get thrown in their path that causes some backing off on both their parts. Rita is a first class hag! Boy she made me so mad! The character of Rita was written so well that you could feel the hatred coming off the pages. Tyler and Ashley do find their HEA, a bit of a slow burn. Great epilogue!

I'm not new to Ms. Fox. I have read a few of her books and I have loved each one of them, and this? No different. She smashed it!

This small-town romance had it all... Sweetness, sexiness, suspense, mystery, and a bucket load of passion and humor between the two main characters... and angst, did I mention angst? It wouldn't be an Ella Fox love story without it.

When Ashley leaves everything she has ever know in LA and moves to a small little town called Charlotte's Cove in WA, the last thing she expected to find was love and the who she found it with? Her new boss, Tyler, who is the chief in town.

These two had chemistry from the start, you can just tell that they were meant to be. The author wrote that perfectly, but something so perfect doesn't always come that easy and these two had to work for it, but it made me fall even more in love with them as their story unfolded.

I loved the secondary characters just as much as the mains, I also wanted to stab one in the eye with a pencil... I'm sure you can guess who, once you read the book.

All in all, this book was amazing. I love Ella's work. I have from the moment I found her and started reading her books. She has a way of sucking me in and consuming me beyond belief with a storyline so profoundly amazing, enticing and unique, and this story was no exception. I was hooked from page one!

Tyler and Ashley were everything. Ashley was in a job that she despised in which her boss was extremely rude until a life event made her open her eyes and change things about her life. She moved to a small quiet town and met Tyler. When Tyler met Ashley he knew she was different and he knew he had to have her. They danced around their feelings until they couldn’t anymore. Even though it almost didn’t happened because of the town bully but Tyler wasn’t having it. Their chemistry was thru the roof and everyone rooted for them. It was a beautiful relationship.

This book was straight up FIRE

created-image-1573523886994

I pretty much went into this book blind after being drawn in by the beautiful cover and I'm so glad I read it because I loved every minute of it.

After being caught in the middle of a dangerous situation Ashley no longer feeling safe living in LA decides to move to the small seaside town of Charlotte's Cove where she spent her summers when she was a growing up.

With the help of her family friend and neighbour she gets a job working at the local police station where she meets Tyler the chief of police and her new boss.

Sparks fly from the very first meeting and while everything seems to be going in a good direction a very unpleasant blast from Ashley's past threatens the new life she is trying to build for herself

Ashley was a tough cookie, kind, sweet and beautiful inside and out while Tyler was intense, sexy, caring, protective and filthy in the best possible way.

Ashley and Tyler's story was sweet, sexy, incredibly steamy, with some drama, a dash of suspense and danger along the way. Their attraction was instant and their chemistry was off the charts. The progression of their relationship was rather fast but so full of passion and steam that I didn't mind it one single bit. The story was fast paced and I found myself not wanting to put it down.

As much as I loved Ashley and Tyler what really solidified the 5 star rating for me where all the side character's of this charming seaside smalltown. From the old couple living next door to Ashley to the group of friends and coworkers of Tyler's to Boo the adorable Husky owned by Tyler. I loved every single one of them and the town and can't wait to read more from stories set in Charlotte's Cove.

Beauty and the Badge
is the first book in the Charlotte’s Cove series and tells the story of Ashley and Tyler.

Beauty and the Badge is the first book I’ve read by Ella Fox and won’t be the last one! I loved reading this book and it was so hard to put this one down. I loved the story and I couldn’t get enough of it. Ashley and Tyler are just so cute together!

Ashley is such a relatable character. It’s hard not to like her because she acts and thinks like so many other women! I love the fact that she chose to go back to her ‘childhood’ place. Tyler is such a sweet and handsome guy, it’s hard not to fall in love with him. Too bad not all guys are like him!

Beauty and the Badge was such an amazing Romance read and I cannot wait to read the next book in the Charlotte’s Cove series! I will probably love every book in the series!

When Ashley's held at gunpoint, it gives her a new mindset. So off to her Charlotte's Cove she goes. It's where she's inherited a house, and it's where she feels most at home. Thank God she has a new job to go along with her new home. But when she gets a look at her new boss...let's just say she's floored. In a good, swoon inducing way!

Tyler's never been so affected by a woman before. Thank God the handbook has no provisions against dating among employees. Now if only he could get Ashley to admit she's as affected by him as he is by her. But when a past mistake comes back to bite him in the ass, will Ashley ever give him a chance to explain? To redeem himself?

I love the world Ella has created in Charlotte's Cove and Ashley and Tyler are a great couple. Beauty and the Badge is sweet, sexy and the suspense is just the perfect amount and gives their story a bit of an edge that it needs. I can't wait for more. Especially if it's Ben and/or Jana's stories!

I have three words for you- OH MY GOSHH!!!

Beauty and the Badge by Ella Fox is the first book in the brand new Charlotte’s Cove series. I have been a long time fan of Ms. Fox and fell in love with her writing when I read The Hart Family series. I’ve loved each and every book she’s written since then, but always felt that nothing could top The Hart’s. So with that being said, SHE DID IT!!!! This incredible story is pure magic. All of the emotions and feelings and gah-I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved Tyler and Ashley’s story. There is something about small town romances that makes it so special and real and with Beauty and the Badge you get it all of that and then some!

Ashley was a dynamic heroine. She was done living the LA scene and took a chance moving to Charlotte’s Cove. She just knew that it was where she needed to be. When she meets Tyler, sparks fly. But she knows, there isn't a chance for them being that he’s her new boss. Little did she know that Tyler wouldn’t take no for an answer.

Ashley’s growth was evident throughout the entire book and I feel that it had a lot to do with the hero, Tyler. Both Tyler and Ashley were realistic characters. Their connection was palpable and it made the story what it was-absolutely breathtaking. I am so excited to see where Ms. Fox takes this series. Highly recommend reading this book!

Ashley ends up having a bit of a life wake up call and it lands her in the little town her family vacationed at every summer, Charlottes Cove. Since everyone knows her, she ends up getting a job at the police station, before she moves there. Oh, and what do you know, her new boss happens to be sexy af and already extremely interested in her. Tyler is Chief of police and is so funny when he meets her, his interest is quite obvious to everyone, but her. It’s rather entertaining, at least I thought it was. Or maybe smitten is a better word than interested, he practically claims her from the start. Seriously, so funny.

This was a safe read. Dirty talking ott alpha that pretty much treats her like she walks on water....very nice. He was also persistent and didn’t give up when things weren’t quite going his way. Ashley is sweet, almost in a submissive way, but something happens and I was so proud and impressed that she stood her ground. These two were so hot, like whew baby hot. Baby batter, epilogue and an hea. Good storyline with some drama/suspense. Loved the secondary characters, especially the ones that have known her since she was little and treat her like family. I can’t wait to read more books in this series.

Oh and I wanted to give a shout out for the Acknowledgments of the book...loved them.

Ella Fox has created a fabulous new series called Charlotte’s Cove. You are going to love the little town and all of the characters in the first book, Beauty and the Badge. Sometimes you need a kick in the rear to see in your life. Ashley gets that, and Tyler helps her find her way. The happily ever after is a great bonus! This book is fun, steamy, and it has a great story. Tyler and Ashley will capture your heart. I absolutely can not wait for the next book in this series!!

5 Star review of Beauty & The Badge (Charlotte’s Cove #1) by Ella Fox

Ella Fox is a new author to me and why that is, I have absolutely no idea. From the first chapter I was invested in Ashley Colton’s story and once she moved to Charlotte’s Cove my interest was heightened.
Returning to live in her grandparents seaside cottage, Ashley wastes no time in getting back into the community who she came to love throughout her childhood visits. When a friend helps her get a job in the local police department, she immediately fits right in. The only issue she can see is that she is immensely attracted to her boss, Chief of Police, Tyler Jameson.
I really loved Tyler, he is such an alpha , kind, compassionate and caring and you cannot help but fall under his spell. Ashley was strong, sassy and a wonderful woman who I could easily see as a friend.
There was romance, passion, a little drama but through it all there was a story of friendship and love that captured my imagination, drew me in and kept me riveted.
I love small town romance and Beauty & The Badge ticked the boxes for me. The characters were extremely easy to relate too and the secondary characters were just as entertaining. I cannot wait to read more in this series.

Such a fun read this was. It had bits of sweetness, sexiness and a little suspense and angst thrown in for good measure. But Ashley and Tyler they weathered it all. They both finally realized that their past hangups weren't worth losing that one person that could get through them through anything and that was Ashley and Tyler. Enjoyable read! ~Jen

Beauty and the Badge from Ella Fox, is a sweet and sexy with a little bit of suspense and lot of humor. Somehow Ms. Fox always seems to suck you in right from the start, and the 1st book in the Charlotte Cove series does just that. The supporting cast of characters made the book that much better, this small town makes me want find one I can live in. ~Stephanie

Awe, this was a cute read. I liked the banter between Tyler and Ashley. The secondary characters were great and I loved seeing them support the main characters in everything they deal with. I love small town reads and this was was really great. The author has potential (not to be confused with this book not being awesome because it really was) to turn this into an amazing small town romance series and I plan to read them all. I was pulled in by everything this book had, the chemistry, the passion, the drama, and the love that Tyler and Ashley have by the end.... it was just a great read. I can’t wait to see where this series goes and I know that I’ll be stalking to see what’s next. 4 stars #2OCCJD

Beauty and the Badge by Ella Fox is book one in her new Charlotte's Cove series. The book can easily be read as a stand alone.
Ashley is a young woman, she's tired of her miserable job, her life, everything. She decides to start over and moves to Charlotte Cove. New job, old house and friends, new love maybe.
Because there's the towns Sheriff and her employer . They have through the roof high attraction and when Tyler Jameson decides he wants her, Ashley has no chance to say no.
Beauty and the Badge is a great read, well written with a great storyline and fantastic characters. I liked the witty and fun and at the same time scorching hot nsfw read.

Omg Ella Fox does it again!
What an amazing start to a new series!
It's no lie that i love Ella Fox's writing and i also love 'small town' romances, they always have that homey sort of feel to them.
Tyler and Ashley was absolutely amazing together, i loved reading everything about them. Their chemistry was off the charts.
I loved Ashley, she had a few self doubts but who doesn't? She hasn't had it the easiest but the girl is a fighter.
Tyler was swoon worthy! He was all alpha and growly i bloody loved him.
The side characters was amazing too, I'd love to see more of them in the future!

I LOVE this story!!! Tyler & Ashley have an instant connection, but then get slightly derailed. The reason was well written & made sense, didn't give me the SOB-vibe, and didn't last forever. This is a fun & STEAMY read, full of supporting characters I'm looking forward to reading more about as the series continues. There's also a bit of suspense, just enough to add a dash of drama, and I highly enjoyed the pacing & how everything played out. Big smiles!!! : )
