Kat's back for the third installment in the suspense thriller series that's been called "a rollercoaster ride of an adventure." (Jennie Reads)

"My name is Katerina Mills. Make sure I disappear."

Katerina Mills is getting out . . .

Desperate to escape a psychotic former client, a vengeful mobster, and a dirty DEA agent, professional "fixer" Kat Mills is ready to drop out and disappear.

She doesn't trust her employer, the shadowy MJM Consulting, but Katerina can't say no to one last job for the biggest score yet, enough money to get lost for good . . . until the client asks the impossible . . .

Dmitry Zilinsky claims he is a direct descendant of Russia's last Tsar, Nicholas II, and he demands Katerina steal the item that will prove it.

Kat must get the job done or she can't make her escape. But when professional thief Alexander Winter reappears in her life, Katerina Mills faces a new choice: go it alone or risk everything to be with the one person she doesn't want to live without?

Warning, this novel ends with nothing really resolved.

Katerina Mills has decided that she needs to disappear, too many people want her dead or want something from her, but she needs one big payoff. Unfortunately she seems to be caught in too many snares with psychotic or murderous clients demanding the impossible, or more than she is willing to do. Her relationship with her BFF has deteriorated and the cop she briefly dated has gone a bit stalkery/trying to protect her 'for her own good'. Oh, and little does she know that she has become a liability to the shadowy organisation that she works for and they have decided to eliminate her.

I devoured the first two books, I thought they were gritty and fresh and fast-paced but unfortunately partway through this book I suddenly had a revelation - every man in the book is either in love with Kat or obsessed with her or does her ridiculous favours just because she asks. Literally every single one. She's just that much of a special snowflake. Also, it's been a while now but Kat doesn't seem to be any better at this job, she just relies on Winter (or one of her myriad other men) to rescue her all the time. My final gripe, there are so many threads with different people trying to kill/own/kidnap Kat that I totally lost the plot of who was who, there was one fight scene where the point of view changed from inside to outside to inside again just so that we could see the different people fighting.

Will I read the next book? I don't know.

As this is a series that must be read in sequence, I had hoped this would be the conclusion, but it's not. In addition, the funny stuff has gone and a lot of messy and stupid stuff has entered. A disappointment.

One of the best stories I've ever been wrapped up in

OMG. How am I ever going to get out of this story. Completely involved, totally wrapped up. Dont think the author can write these fast enough now. For a book with this many plot lines I'm surprised at how completely I follow them all. This has gotten so intense it is hard to imagine all of it working out but we are rooting for Katerina and Alex with all the hope we can muster in the midst of hopeless despair.

The Fixer: The Last Romanov by Jill Amy Rosenblatt is a fast-paced mystery novel that is full of characters, some likable and some not!
Kat Mills is a "fixer". What is a fixer, a fixer is "someone who makes arrangements for other people, especially of an illicit or devious kind." She wants to disappear but gets bogged down in taking care of the open ends she has on the books.
She does not trust her employer, MJM Consulting, she is trying to get out of the clutches of a vengeful mobster, psychotic client and a dirty DEA agent but all she wants to do is disappear.
Enter the love of her life, professional thief Alexander Winter. Not she has to decide if she wants to stay with Alexander or go it alone. Her last assignment is from a direct descendant of the Russian Tsar Nicholas II - and he insists that Kat steal the item that will prove he is the heir.
Can I say wow? This book is so fast-paced that I had a hard time keeping up. I have only read one of the books in this series The Fixer: The Naked Man book 1 and found that book to be great as I love a great mystery story. The Last Romanov is another one of those kinds of books that are unputdownable. I loved the storyline, how Kat seems to have grown up a bit since the first book, she is still very young, but she knows her stuff though and is very successful in taking care of her assignments. The support system she has is one that helps her through her work. The relationship she has with Alexander Winter has her showing her vulnerabilities, and I hope that they can work it out.
I recommend the book but even though the book can be read as a stand-alone, I would suggest that you start with book 1.

The Last Romanov is the third in The Fixer series that is a fast-paced roller coaster series. The main character, Katerina can’t seem to catch a break. Even the one day she gets to go to a spa ends up being a job! This woman needs a day at the beach! With the action never stopping I was pulled into the pace of the book and had a very hard time pausing my reading. With danger around every turn and characters who are playing both sides of every coin this author constructs a maze of subplots that engulfs the reader. An intensely grand read and definitely worthy of one of my rare 5 star reviews!

The Fixer: The Last Romanov is the third book in The Fixer - Katerina Mills series. In this story, Kat wants out of the "Fixer" business but finds that it's harder than she thinks. This story captured my attention from the first page and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. Fast-paced, action-packed, and full of familiar characters, the author has another winner on her hands with The Last Romanov.

I loved this book and cannot wait for the next one to be released.

This is book 3 in the Fixer, Katerina Mills series and it keeps the action and excitement going. You should definitely read the fist two books, to keep all the players straight. I'm a little sad to see Katerina going further down the rabbit hole of crime. She's getting sucked into some dangerous games by bored money men. This was to be a trilogy but I see book 4 is in the pipeline. Thank heavens. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

The Last Romanov written by Author Jill Rosenblatt is the third book in the Fixer series and continues where ‘The Killing Kind,’ left off. The main protagonist Katerina, is in way over her head with the mysterious organisation MJM Consulting who contract her as a Fixer for New York’s wealthy and privileged men. But with the turn of events, she can no longer trust MJM and needs to get out of her contract before she ends up dead. One last job will give her the money she needs to disappear, but at what cost? Add the complication of Kat’s strengthening feelings for professional thief, Alex Winter, and we have a truly gripping, emotional rollercoaster ride, as our heroine fights to bring it all together, complete her objective and keep the man she loves.

The Last Romanov is a longer narrative then it’s predecessors, and so the plot deliberately moves at a slower pace whilst the Author introduces situations and events that set the scene for what is to come. The story soon picks up the pace, and the author keeps the readers in suspense throughout. There is plenty of drama and tension built as Kat must think fast and react to the circumstances thrust upon her, whilst navigating through a web of deceit, protecting her family and securing a life with the man she loves. Can she have it all?

Readers be warned the ending will leave you desperately searching for the fourth book in the series!

I really enjoyed ‘The Last Romanov’ and I do love the character of Katerina Mills. I am therefore awarding a well deserved 5 stars despite the Author leaving me hanging, and wanting more!

Can this series possibly get any better? There was sexual tension, action, intrigue, ulterior motives. The climactic peak of the book was unreal. I was talking to the characters - why? Go back! What are you doing? He’s alive! Oh
I am definitely looking forward to reading more about Kat and ‘Bob’. Especially uncovering the latter’s past. The more I read the more questions I have about these characters and the story. Great story, great writing.
This author has definitely joined my list of favourites. Do yourself a favour and jump on this roller coaster series - you won’t want to get off.

The third installment of the series has the same level of nonstop action that the other two books had. Katerina becomes better at her life of crime and is much more capable of handling complications without help. She still requires some help from time to time, but many are starting to respect her and come to her rescue (with a price of course).

Katerina can never catch a break. At times, I wonder how she finds time to sleep. I look forward to seeing how she resolves her overarching issues. I received this book for free, and I am voluntarily writing this review.

I was hooked on Jill Amy Rosenblatt’s The Fixer series from the first line in the first book, and each installment since has been amazing. The plot continues to increase in complexity, and the author deftly weaves together all the various story threads and crazy characters. I was on edge through this entire book. The stress of worrying about Katerina Mills had my heart racing and the pages turning.

Becoming a “fixer” seemed like an easy way to get the money Katerina Mills needed to stay in school and keep a roof over her head. The only problem? The more she fixes client’s problems, the more problems she has of her own. Kat is like an insect caught in the intermingled webs of a handful of hungry spiders. With every job, she amasses at least one new threat. She has so many connections, and she is starting to owe a lot of favors to those associates. Trying to stay one step ahead of the falling dominoes is exhausting. She needs a knight in shiny armor, but being a can-do gal, she is set on getting herself out of her jam on her own. Besides, can she truly trust anyone? Alexander Winters? Perhaps. The charming “professor” seems to have Katerina’s back, but there are times I fear his secrecy means he is not as altruistic toward and upfront with Kat as she believes.

All the secondary characters are back. Uncle Sergei seems too good to be true in terms of his care and concern for Kat and her mother. The obvious antagonists are easy, but I’m on the fence about Sergei and his relationship with the family. He makes me nervous! I’m already chomping at the bit for the next book. I have a lot of questions, and there is only one woman who has the answers I need!!

That’s right, the series does not end here. The Fixer: The Last Romanov is chock-a-block full of thrills, chills, near misses and direct hits. I just can’t get enough of Katerina Mills, but that woman’s unfulfilled dreams and wishes are killing me.

Thank you for another incredible fictional escape Ms. Rosenblatt; my blood pressure should return to normal by the time the next book is published.

The action picks right up where the last book left off and does not disappoint as it just keeps rolling adding in complications and twists to the plot along the way. The characters are even more developed and in this 3rd book, I find I am invested in the lives of the characters and can't wait to find out what happens next. The only issue I have is that I now have to wait to find out what happens next until I can get my hands on the next book! This series is written in a manner that has each book resolving at least one plot line, but leaving you firmly entrenched in the midst of multiple other plotlines. While typically I prefer to end the book with a resolution to the story or traditional ending, I am finding myself quite drawn to the open ended feeling of the books much like a tv show that leaves you with "to be concluded." I can't exactly say why it works in these books, but it certainly has drawn me in and kept me hooked!
