During the summer months, the sheer cliffs around Flamborough and Filey teem with almost half a million seabirds squabbling for space to raise their chicks, creating the UK's largest mainland breeding seabird colony. Here you can see species like puffins, razorbills and gannets fly above the waves whilst porpoise, seals and minke whales skim the water's surface.
The marine protected area around Flamborough and Filey exists to protect this internationally-important place for wildlife, with unique geology, habitats and species.
