  • change your program preferences
  • change your password
  • view correspondence (including your offer letter)
  • download your confirmation package
  • upload documents required for your qualifications, co-curricular or service requirements or program preferences (only if your application contains an instruction to do so)
  • check your offer.

For other changes to your application, including cancelling your application, you'll need to contact ANU for assistance.

Changing program preferences

After you've applied, you can add, delete or change the order of your program preferences as many times as you like before the application closing dates. Log in to your application and select ‘Update program preferences’. You'll need your email address and password to log in.

You can preference up to five programs in your application. We will make you a single offer to the first program in your list of preferences for which you are eligible and competitive enough. Make sure you rank your program preferences in the order that you would like to receive an offer.

You can't change your program preferences by telephone, letter, fax or email.

Receiving correspondence

We will send you an email message when there is an update to your application, or if we need more information from you.

It is your responsibility to provide a valid email address when you apply and to then check your emails regularly, including your junk emails, for any messages from us.

Some email accounts could place emails from ANU and UAC into a junk folder. Most email accounts allow users to add names or domains to a safe list. Make sure that you add the domain .edu.au to your list of safe email contacts.

Tracking the progress of your application

Your application is assessed in fixed stages. All applicants will receive an initial outcome in September and if applicable, a final outcome in December or January. For more information please see the application timeline.

Your application is assessed using procedures and guidelines agreed to by ANU. We may need to change details as entered by you in your application. These changes may be due to an error or omission in your application, or as a result of the ANU assessment guidelines.

Authorising someone to act on your behalf

All information obtained from your application is confidential. For privacy reasons, we can’t discuss information relating to your application with anyone else. However, you may authorise a relative or friend to act on your behalf.

You will be able to authorise someone to act on your behalf during your application.

Note: This authorisation only applies to the application process. It does NOT authorise someone to accept an offer on your behalf.

Accessing your application number

Your ANU application number has nine digits. It is issued when you apply and will be printed on your Confirmation of Application. You'll need your application number to log back into your application and to check your offer.

Your application number is emailed to you when you apply. If you've printed your Confirmation of Application, your ANU application number will be included there as well.

You can have your ANU application number re-issued by calling UAC on (+61 2) 9752 0200 between 8.30am and 4.30pm (Sydney time) Monday to Friday. We’ll ask you some identification questions. If your details match our database we'll re-issue your application number over the phone.

Changing your password

If you've lost or forgotten your password, visit the login screen, select 'Forgotten your password?' and enter your email address and we'll send a link to change your password.

Keep a record of your registered email and password as you will need these to update or modify your application.

Receiving your offer

You will receive an email notification informing you that your application was either successful or unsuccessful. The notification will prompt you to log into your application where you will be able to see details of your offer of admission, scholarship/s and accommodation, as applicable.

If you have a query regarding your offer, contact ANU.
