“I’ll give you a choice. You can come with my cock in your cunt or in your ass. Choose now.”

“You’ve been so good,” Poseidon murmurs, stroking from the back of my neck down the length of my spine. “You deserve this.”

Another splash of cold where he’s stretching me. Hurting me. Taking me.

Poseidon pulls out. And when he thrusts back in, it’s with complete abandon.

It hurts so much. It feels so good. I scream into my own panties, my hands tied between my legs, Poseidon fucking me like I’ve always belonged to him and always will. Like he has every right to every part of me. He does.

“Your tears are the prettiest thing.” A stifled groan. “It hurts, being fucked so hard in this tight little hole. But you’re taking it so well. You’re such a good princess. Relax, relax...”

JFC I though I couldn't love Poseidon anymore than I did before, I was wrong!

This story was not only HOT AS FUUUUCK it also gave me so many feels! I loved learning more about Poseidon's past and all the emotions it brought out of me! This mannnnn!

If age-gap pirate romances with dirty talking alpha asshole (mostly) anti-heroes are your jam then you should meet my man Poseidon! Oh and he's pierced. One of my fave book boyfriends from Amelia! Also...she writes the best a n a l scenes. I'm just sayin'.

"I should hate him.

I do hate him. Part of me hates him, but the other part can't stop thinking of him. The feel of his body. The shine of his smile in the moonlight. And the look on his face when I asked him about that pearl. It seems like a million years ago, but that flash of longing won't get out of my head. I still want to ask him about that. I still need to know."

description

A Deal with the Devil picks up exactly where The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea left off, right in the middle of an action scene. Please note that this book cannot be read as a standalone, as this book builds off of what the first book set up initially. Book 2 in the Devil trilogy spends a good bit of time giving us Poseidon's back story, and really helps the reader feel for him and his brothers for the time they spent on the farm as kids. I'm unaware how much of this information is shared in his brother's own trilogies, but for me, this was all new information. We get to see Ashley and Poseidon's relationship grow and strengthen as well, and boy is it a steamy process. There are many twists and turns along the way, and while we do receive another cliffhanger at the end of this book, it didn't feel as unbearable as with the previous book, so we are thankful for these little blessings. Another solid entry to the series, and I look forward to seeing how it all concludes in the final book!

*Many thanks to CandiKane PR for my review copy.

Some books paint vivid pictures and some paint sensations with words. The Devil trilogy is from the later category for me.
As with the first book, this sequel to this Poseidon and Amphitrite retelling was an emersion in the troubled waters of the ocean. Amelia Wilde uses a lot of sea metaphores to express how her characters feel. The sea is ever present and so evocative.
This second book is more about Poseidon, the deeply broken anti-hero. We get glimpses of his horrific past with his foster dad, Chronos. We witness his trauma, understand what drives him, witness him grow as a person, find love and finally let himself believe in it.
Ashley goes through some trauma of her own. She is no longer as weak as in the first book. The story twist brings new challenges for her.
The book ends in a big cliffhanger, showing just how much Poseidon has changed since the beginning of the story.
Looking forward to the finale of this trilogy.

NOW AVAILABLE ON ALL PLATFORMS!

He lets go of my hair, and I’m dimly aware of movement on the bed. Then his tongue is on me. Long, hard licks. He’s not bothering with finesse or grace or anything like it. He’s eating. Devouring. I can’t stop him. I love that I can’t stop him. His tongue skims up and up and up until the tip presses against my hole.

I stop breathing.

It’s so wrong. So dirty. And there’s nothing I can do about it. Poseidon feels me freeze and the rumble of his voice against that skin is too much. “I’m going to do more than lick it, you know.”

A small panic rises and crests. “You can’t.”

“Can’t I?” A finger circles that hole now. Poseidon adds a knee over my bound hands. I test his strength. There’s no give. He pushes a fingertip inside. “No. I’m going to taste all of you, princess. Because I can. You’re my little hostage. You need a reminder.”

Not sure why I do this to myself. Ended on a cliffhanger and now I'm invested enough to see how it all ends.

If this ever gets combined into 1 book I'd definitely recommend it but in its current format I just couldn't.

This series has become my newest obsession!!! This was deliciously dark and incredibly captivating. We have Poseidon, who has messed up big time and Haley has landed the short end of the stick.
This had it all. Steam, pain, angst and great twists and turns!! There were some pretty amazing moments in this book.
The book ends in a huge cliffy and I seriously cannot wait to read the next installment.
The feelings, the sizzling chemistry left me craving more.
I loved it!

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars! Omg, so good. What’s a dangerous pirate going to do with a heiress he found in the middle of the ocean? Keep her of course! Now I have to wait for the 3rd book, it won’t be out until June. Damn it , this is going to be a long wait. Definitely recommend this trilogy.

𝟒.𝟓 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬. Poseidon and Ashley got my heart beating so fast! It picked up right where it left of in book 1, and it was definitely a ride. Amelia has a way with words that the scenes really played out right in front of you. ⁣

In this one, you get the full story of Poseidon's past. Not only do I feel bad for him, I feel for his brothers too. The pain. You see what he became the man he was. I'll have to say, it looks like after what Ashley went through in book 1, she matured a bit more. There was one thing she said to him that I'm so glad about it because I totally agree with her. And THE TWIST!!! I did not see that coming. So good!! I don't want to spoil it but his decision at the end hurted me. It was cute and sad. Lol Can't wait for the conclusion of their love story. ⁣

FOR-A-FULL-REVIEW-VISIT

MY RATING: 2*
RELEASE DATE: 306 March 2021
CLIFFHANGER: Yes

ARC was kindly provided for an honest review

Once again I find myself in the minority where everybody got a 5* copy and I didn’t. anyway, this book picks up where we left off with book one, The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" with the standoff between the pirates. Ashley is still battered, scared out of her mind and still stuck on Poseidon’s ship.
The idea of getting attached to anyone fills Poseidon with dread to a point where he hurt Ashley just to prove that he doesn’t care for her. His actions say different though when he sets out to protect her against the attacks that her father keeps sending her way, especially when his intentions are revealed, and sacrificed his most precious possession for her.

I have to admit, I did not enjoy this book as much as I did book one. The writing style, especially in Ashley’s chapters was very poetic and not my style at all. I felt really confused and while I enjoyed the backstory about Poseidon’s childhood, I still feel like I’m missing something really important about his brothers and evil sister. Maybe they have their own books that I didn’t read, if so that’s my bad but I didn’t think I had to. To me they seem to play an important part in Poseidon’s life that I wish I’d known them a bit better.

As for Ashley, again, I didn’t quite get what the implication was with regards to Ashley’s mom. Did she disappear into thin air or did she die? If so, did the father get her killed? I thought she died in book 1 but then Ashley said she disappeared in this book. Her father is supposedly rich. When did he stop being rich to a point that his daughter became his meal ticket? What happened? I need more information on that. Speaking of moms, I look forward to the story about his after the bombshell dropped by Ashley’s dad. Again, how did he know about that?

I also can’t believe the ease with which Ashley got over that mother of all beatings so quickly. I mean I expected her to come out fighting whether literally or otherwise. Not that pitiful attempt to finally talk about it at the end of the book in the same breath as “I love you”.

description

I still don’t buy into their love at all. They still don’t spend enough time together to have cultivated such feelings. Ashley was sick and delirious most of the book. I don’t know. This was a bit harder to review because I really wanted to love this book, but the same questions I had in book one remain unanswered in this book, yet I feel like nothing really happened in this book. But please believe me when I said I will be reading the conclusion in book 3.

"You're me heart...this was a dead thing before I met you, and now it beats."

Ahhh what an amazing second book in the Devil trilogy! This book lets us dive in deeper to Poseidon's background and gives us so much more insight into his alpha and brooding ways. Ashley and Poseidon are such a great match as she really is a bright light that compliments his darkness. And oh the intrigue as we get new twists and turns with the kidnapping and ransom. I really loved the interconnections with Zeus and Hades and the character development has me so invested in this love story. Loving this couple so much and can't wait for the final book!

Ashley Donnelly is still being held on Poseidon’s ship but what does he really want to do with her? She may be more trouble than she is worth or she could be exactly what this pirate needs. This is book two of the devil trilogy and begins right where book one left off. Pirates. Theft. Lies. Action. And maybe a little love in between on the open seas! This is an easy, fun read especially if you love a modern day pirate tale. We do get glimpses of Poseidon’s past too. What will happen to Ashley in the adventure of her life? Told in dual POV and ends in a cliffhanger.

My Rating: 4 stars!

**ARC was generously provided in exchange for my honest review.**

The swashbuckling action, the steamy cabin romps, and the big bad trouble following the Trident has officially amped up a level in book two of The Devil Trilogy! The story picks right up after the end of The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea— where you’re thrown right back into the middle of nowhere surrounded by nothing but open water.

This one was intense that I had so many emotions swirling around. Whilst I admit I was a little confused in the first book, this book cleared up a lot of the mixed-feelings I had towards Poseidon and Ashley.

Let’s start with the devilled pirate himself; Poseidon. He was a total alpha-hole in The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. Yes, he was a swoon-worthy pirate who took no shit on his own ship (he is captain after all), yet I never fully understood why he was cruel and hurtful towards Ashley… until now. Any lingering questions I had from the first book was cleared up in this one. It’s amazing once secrets and backstories are revealed how much you can sympathize and understand a character’s traits and actions better. 😅 And Poseidon’s past was quite a doozy. I’m not saying I condone his actions, but I’m in no way writing him off either.

I can’t speak for anyone else’s opinions of Poseidon but in my books as the story progressed, he was winning me over a little bit at a time. I’m always down for reading about a complex, morally-grey character, but they get bonus points from me when they can admit wrongdoings and regrets because it shows that underneath all their bravado and asshole-y attitude they have a conscience, a willingness to change… and have heart! You will see a lot more of Poseidon’s life in this book and how much of his family has had an affect on his upbringing, his adulthood, and even how he handles business affairs.

Seeing the interactions amongst his crew is probably one of my favourite things to see in this book. I’m loving the fact that crew members are getting some of the limelight here and there. Also gives Poseidon’s ship a little more life by having different dynamics besides the one between Ashley and himself.

I’ve read and seen enough pirate stories to know that a woman on board is usually a no-no. But the dynamic Ashley has with Poseidon’s crew was such a highlight to see. I love the camaraderie, their charm, the lightheartedness they provided in what was an overall gloomy atmosphere, and the bonds they all individually made with her.

I actually laughed a good handful of times reading this book, and all those scenes involved Ashley. I’m happy sighing with relief that she’s now at a place where she doesn’t seem so alone and completely lost aboard a pirate ship. I wasn’t expecting the humorous scenes but it’s definitely some of the more memorable ones. (I’ll just say this: chocolate lovers will get a kick out of it!) 🤭

This was fast-paced storytelling with action left, right and center. You get a deeper insight into the situation and how Poseidon and Ashley are feeling as it’s told from dual points of view. Despite the gloomy atmosphere, these characters are making the most of their time on the ship before trouble catches up to them. Ashley and Poseidon’s complicated relationship finally picks up pace and it almost seems like things are heading in the direction of an actual relationship where honesty and admittance of feelings are in play, whereas before it was very much a captor/captive situation.

First book focuses on Ashley as a hostage on the Trident, playing by Poseidon’s rules. This book focuses on how much her time on board and in his space has affected Poseidon and changed enough of his initial plans that it’s left this story on another cliffhanger. Plot twists galore! There’s quite a few developments some of which I suspected as much, but others were complete surprises that I’m keen to see how things will all wrap up in the final book. I’m wondering how things will work out between Ashley and Poseidon — not to mention his ship, his crew, and even with his family.

In my opinion, if you didn’t love the first book right off the bat but still curious to see more, then this book will win you over a little more. It’s definitely progressive with a clearer direction of where it’s heading. It’s one of those stories (although a continuous one) gets better with each book. I was kept in suspense from start to finish— whether it was due to Ashley and Poseidon’s intimate moments, Poseidon’s unfinished business, or due to the trouble that has followed Ashley whilst onboard the Trident.

✔ A modern day pirate.
✔ A wanted heiress.
✔ A devil in disguise.

In one dark, contemporary romance. Book two in The Devil Trilogy is hearty, where one problem is solved just for another to pop up in its place. Ashley and Poseidon’s relationship has evolved into something more substantial. Lots of questions are still left unanswered and by the way it ended, it can honestly head towards a number of different ways.

I was sucked in and completely invested in seeing how things would develop further between Poseidon and Ashley. There’s plenty of hot scenes… as well as a few scenes worthy of stunned silence. If you’re a fan of mythologies, this one has a cool, modern take on Greek Mythology, obviously focusing on Poseidon, God of the Sea.

I haven’t read a lot of books by Wilde yet, but from the ones I have read, I’ve come to enjoy. Her writing style is engaging with her vivid world-building, intriguing characters, gripping storylines, and satisfying amount of romance!

If you’re looking for a pirate romance story, give this one a go, start with The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea and continue onto this one! Add Poseidon to your list of sexy pirates alongside Jack Sparrow, William Turner and Killian Jones! *waggles brows*

A Deal With the Devil is the thrilling second installment in The Devil Trilogy. Poseidon and Ashley's story is both erotic and emotional, and the two of them become even more immersed in each other while running from danger in this book.

"Poseidon is a walking contradiction. Cruel and kind. Mean and gentle. He fucks me hard enough to hurt, and it makes me come."

This story gives the reader more insight into Poseidon's past, and I loved learning more about what molded him into the man he became. I enjoyed seeing him slowly come to terms with the connection he has with Ashley. There were events that happened in this book that caused a change in him, and I thought that it was done in an authentic way. There were some moments that were simply heartbreaking, both past and present, and I love the way the author weaves emotion into her writing in a way that makes me feel invested in the characters and their journeys. Their intimacy was edgy and intense and incredibly hot. I really enjoyed the way their relationship developed and the moments of connection they shared.

"I will spend every minute for the rest of my life, every second, making myself worthy of you. If my life is what it takes, then its yours."

There was a lot of action packed into the plot, and some great angst as well. The intimate scenes were well written and the flow of the plot was perfect. The revelations about both Poseidon and Ashley's family were intriguing and kept me hooked. Amelia Wilde is a fantastic writer and she really shines in this genre. I am so glad that there is more to come with Poseidon and Ashley's story, and I can't wait to read the conclusion to their story.

1.5 stars WTF just happened?!? He tied her naked to a 🚢 mast and whipped her bloody in front of his entire crew because she was fleeing him. Well, yeah she is a hostage that you're trying to decide whether to sell back to her father OR maybe sell her to another pirate ship so they can pass her around. Girls, this one's a keeper. But don't worry, of course, our heroine is "conflicted " and falls "in love " with her abuser. He hasn't said more than a few words to her, BTW. She's learned most of what she's learned about him from his rag tag crew, which isn't much. Also, who in the heck goes on a Yacht in the middle of the ocean, and can't 🏊 especially, when the crew consisted of You and you're soon to be dead boyfriend?!? I would say she's a "red shirt" heroine, but that does a disservice to the other "red shirt " heroines who at least can walk and talk at the same time. Definitely not finishing the series. As I'm hoping the next time he decides to whip her that he aims for her head. Maybe it will knock something lose or kick start it.

"How much am I worth then? A good amount, I hope."
Fresh pain flashes across Poseidon's face so fast I'm sure I imagined it. "More than you know."

What a fast read! I enjoyed this one and found it very difficult to put down...hence finishing it in one sitting. I'm not sure why, but I always have way more quotes to put in my reviews with these love story books, opposed to any other genres I read??

'My lungs have been trapped in a vise, my ribs crushed by unseen fists. It hurts. Like a broken heart.'

'How much am I worth, then? That's what she asked me. As if there is any dollar amount that could capture the sunshine in her eyes, the hope in her heart. She's worth the entire world. If I could wrap it up and store it in the cargo of my ship, it still wouldn't be enough.'

and one more...

'This man was always warm. Even when we pushed at each other, even when we battled, there was warmth. There was heat. Now he's as cold and unforgiving as the sea.'

Wow! What a perfect second act to a storyline! This book picks up right where “The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea” left off, with a little extra! In this book we get some of Poseidon’s past, and get to know why he is the way he is. Which is still dark, swoony and amazing, but he also has some vulnerability too which just makes him even better.

This series is everything you are going to want, it’s dark and twisty, with lots of action and suspense. You are going to not just want but NEED to know what will happen next.

Please remember that this is part of a trilogy! That means there is one more book and this one ends with a cliffhanger, but it will be worth it!! I love the way Amelia Wilde writes, she is dark and twisty but there is always something more substantial underneath it. I can not wait to see what’s in store for Poseidon and Ashley!

More suspenseful moments on the Poseidon, more troubles than he ever thought she’s going to bring on board and so many steamy af scenes.
Unexpected family drama and some great background moments, they both have to make some decisions that will definitely change the curse of their life.
If you’re looking for a dark romance with a sexy pirate and the beautiful siren that stole his heart, look no further than this trilogy.

Poseidon!!!!

Oh my word!

I love a protection, possessive a**!!! So much!

And Ashley is awesome!!

First I love the Zeus, hades, & Poseidon’s dynamic!

Second. I hate a particular character. Sooo much.

This book picks up, literally where book 1 ends... we find out a little more about Demeter. Who’s ugh.

Loved how the glimpses of a human heart in Poseidon looked!

Highly recommend.

Well, this one was definitely better than the first. Or should I say Ashley was definitely better in this one than the first one.

She found her backbone in this one, and our boy gives good grovel....you just have to wait for it.

On to the 3rd and I'll give a full review there....maybe.....if I'm in a good mood.

This is the second book in The Devil Trilogy told in dual POV by Poseidon and Ashley. It continues from the cliffhanger at the end of book 1 and is another dark, twisted and intense story. I found it was fascinating to see how Poseidon manages to get out of the situation the author had left him in. He had also dealt a massive blow to Ashley’s hopes over their relationship, which he regrets and needs to sort out both in his head and heart. It’s more his story than hers this time.

“He’s the ocean, and I’m driftwood.”

She is cross with him after what happened and is finding it hard to fight her feelings for him. She is starting to realise he might be the only person who can actually save her from everything that is going on but can she forgive him? She needs a safe place and the Trident may be it, but whereas he’s at home on the sea, she is still finding her sea legs which isn’t easy with all she going through being with him. She’s still hoping that Poseidon has rescued her out of love or a need to stay with her but it becomes clear it is far more complicated than that. Their chemistry is still off the charts and there are plenty of naughty antics between them. She knows he is a complex character but is totally confused with his contradicting behaviour - cruel then kind, mean then gentle!

“That’s what’s so crazy about this. I know I shouldn’t. I know it’s wrong, but I don’t care. I love you, even if I can never forgive you.”

In the first book we found out what life was like at the farm and the abuse he suffered. This time we get much more about his past and growing up with Hades, Zeus and Demeter. How he remembers his mother and how she insisted that if anything happened to her he was to keep the rosary hidden and safe, but most of all he must keep it. We knew he been searching for all the pearls but now we hear the story of how Demeter managed to steal it and how this is still an very open wound for him. He still believes he can find not only all the pearls but also his mother.

You can now understand why Poseidon so complicated. Our dark brooding pirate reveals more of himself not only to Ashley but to the reader. He has always been waiting for something, feels lost and needs somewhere he belongs but Ashley is now complicating matters. The ocean, his ship and loyal crew are his home but he doesn’t know if he can continue putting them at risk just for her. We get to see his vulnerability and the hurt that he hides so well but I loved how our cold hearted pirate turns romantic!. She didn’t think he could ever be so loving and gentle when all she’s known from him is rough and dominating.

He has to decide if he wants to give Ashley back. She has got under his skin and he doesn't recognise himself any more. It all a totally new concept to Poseidon which he at first has trouble accepting but when he admits his feelings, it could end up losing him everything. Will he sacrifice everything for her? Can they survive a lifetime of running and hiding if he keeps her?

“I’ll give you everything. If I die trying, I’ll know I’ve done my best.”

I loved his interactions with Nicholas and how he slowly develops a new found relationship with his brothers. Laughed at some of their conversations and when the penny dropped for Poseidon over his misconceptions of family. Although Poseidon is the devil in the title, I am beginning to think that name is more fitting for some of the other wicked and awful characters in the series.
To me Demeter is as bad as Cronos. This time we have seen the another side to him and I feel sorry for all he been through. I hope Ashley steps up and is as strong as she was in the first book to support and stand by him in what I think will be a very difficult time ahead.

The author gives us lots of great twists that you won’t see coming, along with some life or death situations and fantastic action scenes. The whole book is full of suspense again and the author gives us a dramatic and explosive ending which is also heartbreaking but really sets the scene for the next book. What a conclusion to their story it will be as their hearts involved now they’ve both realised they love each other. Will they ever find a safe place to be? What will be the after effects of what her father has done? Is any of the new information true? How will Poseidon cope with the decisions he has had to make? Hopefully we will get all these questions and more answered in the final instalment. I can’t wait to see how the author ties all the loose ends together and gives this couple the HEA they deserves after all this drama and excitement.

When it comes to Amelia Wilde and this Trilogy I expect nothing but intense, dirty and seductive writing submerged in so much detail that the story literally floats in front my eyes. And without a doubt this story went way WAY above my expectations! This is a top read of 2021, a mouth watering Pirate and his sweet hiress captive sailing the seas, trying to escape a fate that is less than fair and can't be forgiven.

Starting out right where Devil and the Deep Blue Sea leaves off, we learn what kind of a man Ashley's father really is. It's devasting and twisted and who does that better than Amelia?
While Poseidon can relate to evil and corrupt father's, he can't seem to understand his need to protect Ashely. He can't understand how that need doesn't seem to dull the bone deep desire to take and ruin her at the same time. What you can count on in this book is a visit into Poseidon's past where we experience and learn just how much of the Devil truly lived in the man who he never deared call his father. The chapters where we see Hades, Zeus, Poseidon, and even Demeter trapped in a life no child should ever be really sheds light on who Poseidon is and why he's lived his life on the sea and what he searches for. In the first book we only know of his search for his treasure, the pearls. And in this book we learn why this treasure is so important. Amelia weaves the past and present so perfectly together. The emotion I felt for Poseidon while reading was so consuming. I couldn't put this books down! I'm totally in love with Ashley too. She has strength she didn't know she had and she has a love for her Pirate she can't seem to deny. Honestly the chemistry is mouth watering. Amelia nailed it with all twists and deceit and with an ending that I was literally holding my breath reading!

I loved every single thing about this book. Every single word drew me in deeper and took this story way beyond what I anticipated. It was like I was there on that glorious ship with this awesome crew lead by this Sea God of a Pirate and his Princess!

A Deal With the Devil kicks off with a bang. This second book in the trilogy is a pure shot of adrenaline. It's action-packed, intense and such an awesome emotional ride.

Amelia Wilde writes amazing antiheroes, and Poseidon is my favourite one yet. We get a glimpse into his past and see another side of him. My heart ached for his tortured soul. I could understand why he felt torn between wanting to continue his lifetime mission of finding those pearls and the raw need to give it all up and protect Ashley at all costs. She makes him feel so much and makes him want things he hasn't thought about in a very long time. He wants what his brothers, Hades and Zeus, have. A proper family.

Poseidon seems bigger than life, an alpha male through and through, a man feared by many. But he can also be vulnerable, and seeing him on his knees was unexpected. In that moment, I wanted to give him the biggest hug. And Ashley surprised me. She proved to be stronger than I first thought. She didn't cower in the face of danger. She is a survivor.

The plot just sucked me in. There was a perfect amount of suspense, mystery, passion and scorching hot sexy scenes. And that ending left me begging for more. GAAAHHH I need the next book ASAP. Can't wait to see what happens next!

I didn’t think I could love Poseidon anymore then I did in book 1 and then we get A Deal with the Devil and my heart is busting at the seams with how much I love him. This go round we get to dive a little deeper into Poseidon’s heartbreaking past and we see why and how he became the man he is today. I love the growth we see in the relationship between Poseidon and Ashley but also the growth with Ashley herself showing she’s not just some rich girl. Ashley definitely proves to us she is a survivor she had to go through some very heartbreaking moments that had me gasping for breath. We also get to see just how much Poseidon really does care for Ashley and what he’s willing to sacrifice. This series is by far one of my favorites from Amelia Wilde and I can’t wait to find out what comes next in their story.

Explosive and captivating

This book stole my breath and had me emotional more than once while reading it. I though Ashley was having a rough go of things before, but this blows the first book out of the water. The dive into Poseidon’s past tore me up inside, you could feel the pain he endured through his youth deep in your bones. And Ashley being adrift at sea, having her pirates as her only anchor to this world she thought she knew being torn out from under her, is an emotional roller coaster. The ending to this left me with so many questions I can’t wait to have answered, will they make it through? Will they rebuild their home? Will Poseidon find what he’s been searching for, for all of his adult life? Is this the freedom Ashley was seeking?

This book ...

It will leave you drowning in a sea of emotions, in an emotional chaos that keeps crashing down on you like waves, threatening to pull you to the bottom of the sea.

Poseidon and Ashley's story picks up where it left off in "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea", the first installment of "The Devil Trilogy", and it only gets more intense, more like a romantic thriller than ever before. It is mind-blowing, it is breathtaking, it is ... I'm at a loss for words!

It made me gasp for air and hold my breath at every turn. My heart was in my mouth ...
Gah ... this book is everything I expected .... and so much more!
