Body of missing Scot Gordon Buchan who went missing almost two weeks ago found after major search operation
THE body of a missing man who sparked a major search operation has been found.
Gordon Buchan, 55, vanished from Kyle of Lochalsh on Sunday March 1 at around 1pm.
Coastguard and mountain rescue teams were involved in a frantic hunt to find him.
Officers launched an urgent appeal as they called for anyone with information as to his whereabouts to come forward.
But cops confirmed that tragic Gordon's body has discovered on the Loch Kishorn shoreline.

They also confirmed that his family have been informed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can confirm that the body of a man was found on the shoreline of Loch Kishorn around 1250pm on Saturday March 14.
"He has been identified as Gordon Buchan from Kyle of Lochalsh who had previously been reported missing.
"His next of kin are aware."
We told how a body was found near Braehead in the hunt for a Glasgow man who went missing in December.
Police confirmed that the body, believed to be that of Martin Ackland, was discovered at King George V Docks.
