Last week on Tuesday April 16th I hosted Joscha Bach, Rachel Aileen StClair, and Peter Sutor Jr at Microsoft New England for a special AICamp meetup, co-hosted with the Boston Astral Codex Ten Meetup and sponsored by Simuli and Microsoft. "Curiosity" drove the SF AICamp audience at the event my team and I hosted last evening at the GitHub office. After speaking to several folks in this enthusiastic AI community, I realized how AI is inspiring people to learn about the various possibilities and opportunities of problem-solving. To foster this curiosity, I thank all the speakers, and here are some of the highlights of the talks: ➡ Faye Zhang from Pinterest explained the scary-looking loss function equations simplistically and talked about the challenges in image understanding for multi-modality. ➡ Adam from Weaviate, with great enthusiasm, showed us a great RAG use case leveraging vector search to create viable connections with similar interests ➡ Christy Bergman from Zilliz, walked us through how you can build customizable RAG workflows to suit your use case.
