Rockwall wide receiver Aiden Meeks commits to Texas Tech

Meeks will get the chance to build on a family legacy with the Red Raiders.

After honing his skills as a big-play threat at Rockwall, wide receiver Aiden Meeks announced his commitment to Texas Tech on Saturday.

According to 247Sports.com, Meeks previously committed to UNLV on Dec. 15 but reopened his commitment five days later. In a Dec. 20 Twitter post, Meeks mentioned he was “ready to fly anywhere.”

By committing to the Lubbock-based Big 12 program, Meeks will get the opportunity to build on a family legacy. His father, Vincent Meeks, played for the Red Raiders from 2002 to 2005 where he started off as a running back before moving to the safety position.

As a senior, Aiden Meeks caught 47 passes for 839 yards and seven touchdowns for a 10-2 Rockwall team that advanced to the area round of the Class 6A Division I playoffs.
