el_masmore is a solo project by Jesús Alfaro, sound experimenter and composer. This
heterodox musician based in Marbella began his experiences with a Korg MS10, later
incorporating classical and electric guitar into his works. He currently uses, in addition to his
guitars, several analog synthesizers Minibrute, Volca, Kaossilator and other digital synthesizers
from Cherry Audio and Korg.
His compositions are a mixture of sounds and layers that try to transport to certain
moments or specific experiences, they are studio works without a rigid conception and given
their open structure allows creativity to have no limits or rules.
The track that is presented to the call, Once upon a time in Kuala Lumpur , is an
unpublished work, produced in February 2023 with a base of Korg and Cherry Audio virtual
instruments mixed with Audacity. The track presented tries to capture the disturbing
atmosphere of one of the most interesting cities in Southeast Asia, Kuala Lumpur. The presence
of the Petronas towers is constant and their shadows and lights are the melting pot in which all
the cultures of the city are mixed.

el_masmore es un proyecto individual de Jesús Alfaro, experimentador de sonidos y
compositor. Este músico heterodoxo asentado en Marbella comenzó sus experiencias con un
Korg MS10, posteriormente incorporó la guitarra clásica y eléctrica a sus trabajos. Actualmente
utiliza, además de sus guitarras, varios sintetizadores analógicos Minibrute, Volca, Kaossilator y
otros digitales de Cherry Audio y Korg
Sus composiciones son una mezcla de sonidos y capas que intentan transportar a
momentos determinados o a experiencias puntuales, son trabajos de estudio sin una concepción
rígida y dada su estructura abierta permite que la creatividad no tenga límites ni reglas.
El track que se presenta a la convocatoria, Once upon a time in Kuala Lumpur, es una
obra inédita, producida en febrero de 2023 con una base de instrumentos virtuales Korg y Cherry
Audio mezclados con Audacity. La pista presentada trata de capturar la atmósfera inquietante
de una de las ciudades más interesantes del sudeste asiático, Kuala Lumpur. La presencia de las
torres Petronas es constante y sus sombras y luces son el crisol en el que se mezclan todas las
culturas de la ciudad.
