More Long COVID information:

The CDC estimates that over 146 million Americans have been infected with and recovered from COVID-19. Studies show that up to one in three people who contract COVID-19 continue to suffer symptoms three to six months after getting infected. Around the world, Long COVID is causing significant disability and suffering, disproportionately affecting minority and low-income populations.

More Long COVID Initiative information:

Generously funded by the Hassenfeld Foundation, the Long COVID Initiative was publicly launched in September 2021 with the aim of rapidly studying and communicating the impact of Long COVID on people and their communities.

A key objective of the Initiative is to communicate information and best practices as they emerge. To protect livelihoods and businesses alike, we must better understand the health and economic impacts of Long COVID on employers, employees and the workplace. There is currently limited guidance on how to mitigate work-related challenges presented by Long COVID. As such, this session will be an opportunity for the Initiative to share relevant knowledge from the experts on our team with the Chamber members.
