CHATTANOOGA – The Chattanooga Mocs' softball team opens Southern Conference play on Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27 against the visiting Furman Paladins at Frost Stadium. All three games will be streamed on ESPN+.

Chattanooga concluded non-conference competition with a 16-14 record and an 11-5 mark at Frost Stadium. The team is hitting .279 led by
Emily Coltharp's .391 batting average. The Mocs have belted 27 home runs, 42 doubles and five triples en route to a .455 slugging percentage. The team holds a 3.31 ERA, allowing 91 in 192.1 innings of work. The pitching staff has struck out 104.

UTC has belted 27 home runs this season, led by the SoCon-leading seven that
Kaili Phillips has hit this year. Chattanooga's 27 homers have come from nine different players with three Mocs posting five or more this season. 12 of their 27 homers have come in the third or fourth inning (44%).
FURMAN AND CHATTANOOGA
The Mocs and the Paladins were in the league with the Southern Conference began initiated softball in 1994 and are the only two teams left that were among the original four. Chattanooga is 60-24 all-time against the Paladins and the team has won 33 of the 37 played in Chattanooga.
