ELLIOT SINGER OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a sophomore from San Francisco, Calif., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets ran Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15. SCAC Cross Country Release (Week 7)

Singer placed 23rd at the Augustana Interregional in a time of 21:59. She was the top SCAC runner in a field that featured 11 nationally ranked DIII teams.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Eliane Kaster of Trinity sprinted to the finish in a personal-record time of 22.28.7 at the Augustana Interregional Invite over the weekend. She shattered her previous career-best by nearly 30 seconds and is now 14th in school history in the 6K. Sophomore Rachel Chiella of Southwestern earned the Pirates' women's cross country team 40 points after finishing the Suffolk Invitational women's cross country event in a time of 26:07. The sophomore finished 43rd in a women's race with 184 competitors from 22 schools. First-year Victoria Ramirez of St. Thomas led the Celts finishing 69th at the Upstate Invitational. In the 5k event, Ramirez clocked 20:56 ahead of many Division I participants and the highest of all D3 schools at the meet. Sophomore Madeline Vacula of Centenary ran a 6K time of 25:22.2 and finished in fourth ahead of 30 other runners at the ETBU Tiger Invitational.
