How DAOs, DeFi, and DePIN projects use OnFinality

OnFinality, a multi-chain infrastructure provider shares how game-changing web3 projects are using OnFinality in a 2-part article series.

How DAOs, DeFi, and DePIN projects use OnFinality

OnFinality is a blockchain infrastructure platform that saves web3 builders time and makes their lives easier. We deliver easy-to-use, reliable and scalable API endpoints for the biggest blockchain networks and empower developers to automatically test, deploy, scale and monitor their own blockchain nodes in minutes.

We’ve recently wrapped up our Customer Interview Series where we interviewed leaders in the blockchain space on how OnFinality’s infrastructure is helping them build the decentralised future, faster!

Whether you’re a dApp, DEX, or a DAO, OnFinality has all the tools to help you focus on your core business and make informed mission-critical decisions!

Read on to find out how some of our customers are using OnFinality and how you can too! 👇

🎙️ Episode 1: Interview with Luke Fan, Co-Founder of Crust Network

What is Crust Network?

Crust Network is a versatile, purpose-built storage blockchain that delivers truly decentralised file storage and hosting capabilities for the entire Web3 ecosystem, empowering privacy and data ownership. Crust Network enables dApp hosting, NFT metadata storage, and encrypted file storage across a wide range of blockchains.

How does Crust use OnFinality?

“(OnFinality is) like Google analytics but in a different way you know like web3 way and we can learn more about our users and user behaviour so this service is actually beyond the node services.”
— Luke Fan, Crust

🎙️ Episode 2: Interview with Marvin Tong, Co-Founder of Phala Network

What is Phala Network?

Phala Network is a privacy-preserving cloud computing service, based on Substrate and running as a parachain of the Polkadot ecosystem. It offers computing power comparable to existing centralised cloud solutions (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform) and protects the privacy of managed programs.

How does Phala use OnFinality?

“Data Availability provided by OnFinality is very professional and standardised so it can help our team to reduce huge development cost and operation growth and the service is also stable and we pay from on-chain treasury which is really feasible for blockchain projects.”
— Marvin Tong, Phala

🎙️ Episode 3: Interview with Hoon Kim, CTO of Astar Foundation

What is Astar Network?

Astar Network provides the infrastructure for building dApps with EVM and WASM smart contracts offering developers true interoperability with cross-consensus messaging (XCM) and a cross-virtual machine (XVM). Astar’s unique Build2Earn model empowers developers to get paid through a dApp staking mechanism for the dApps they build.

How does Astar use OnFinality?

“During the early phases of Polkadot there were a lot of runtime upgrades and a lot of changes to the RPC and OnFinality was very responsive, it’s saved us a lot whenever something happens, like OnFinality was like the default endpoint for a while”
— Hoon Kim, Astar

🎙️ Episode 4: Interview with Jake Hartnell, Co-Founder of Juno Network

What is Juno Network?

Juno is an interoperable smart contract network and a zone part of the Cosmos Network. Anyone can create & use inter-chain applications on Juno. The ecosystem is pioneering CosmWasm development and adoption, allowing developers to deploy secure & robust inter-chain smart contracts in Rust.

How does JUNO use OnFinality?

“A lot of times in web3 you can get this very spiky behaviour like the token comes out and everyone just rushes in. Reliable RPCS are essential for providing a good user experience because they really are the gateway to the chain, it’s what most people that are not developers actually interact with.”
— Jake Hartnell, JUNO

🎙️ Episode 5: Interview with William R Richter, Head of Ecosystem at SORAMITSU and Community Collaborator at SORA

What is SORA?

SORA is an on-chain governance system based around the XOR token that allows producers to make proposals for funding and all token holders make decisions on how to allocate XOR so that the best goods and services get created. People who create goods or services help to build the SORA economy when they accept XOR for them.

How does SORA use OnFinality?

“(OnFinality’s node service) increases the availability so people are able to use the services, (and) it’s very helpful because we also get a lot of insights about the blockchains.”
— William RR, SORA
