Shifter Ops #6

Alpha's Command

Rate this book
She’s a human. Forbidden. My brother’s widow. But deep down, my wolf believes she's mine.

Before my brother died, he made me swear to stand by his human mate and their son. It's been 10 years since his death, and I've done my best. I joined the military, got my sh*& straight.

I sent money but stayed away from Julia and my nephew. Stayed out of their life. She didn't need a screw-up like me hanging around.

That was the lie I told myself. The truth was, I couldn’t resolve my attraction to her. And I can't dishonor my brother's memory by claiming his wife.

But now her pup has entered puberty. He’s become a wolf. He needs me there to guide and protect him.

Julia hasn't forgiven me for the years I stayed away, but this time I'll do right by her. I’d do anything for the two of them.

But she’s the one I want to guide. Protect. Command. She’s the one I crave and will until my last breath.

Don't miss the next installment of Renee Rose and Lee Savino's USA Today Bestselling Shifter Ops series in which Channing meets his forbidden mate. Overprotective wolf shifter guaranteed.

I know when Renee Rose and Lee Savino release a book I'm in for a treat and that's exactly what I got with 'Alpha's Command', the sixth book in their "Shifter Ops" series. Channing had promised his brother Geoffrey that he would look out for and take care of his wife and son should anything happen to him and then he died during a mission. At twenty-nine, Julia has left a widow with a toddler and a nineteen-year-old Channing had to learn to be responsible. Not only to keep the promise he made to his brother but because his wolf has let him know that Julia is also his fated mate. How can that be? That couldn't be right, could it? So he joined the Army and then retired from there and went into the Special Ops Unit his brother was in. For ten years he's physically stayed away, only having money delivered every month and having a watch kept over them. But now Geo, his nephew, has hit puberty and will need him to help him with his wolf through his first shift and become comfortable in his own fur. Will Julia be able to forgive him for being gone all this time and is Channing strong enough to be this close to her without wanting to claim the only woman he's ever loved? What a great storyline!

Fabulous Addition to the Series

Channing gets all the fun! A tale of fated mates with a twist, drama and danger around the corner, and more bad guys to take down.

Like ever with these authors it was a very delightful read, well written and sensible told.
Especially the rare constellation of the woman older than the man and the thinking that comes with it was perfectly and well developed. Great!

Read it in one sitting. I loved this alpha shifter ops tale of overcoming loss and finding love again. This is Channings story. After 10 years away on ops, he returns to his deceased brothers home to help his nephew learn to be a shifter. His brother was mated to a human, Julia, and their son, Geo, is struggling with shifting and finding his shifter identity. Channing has been running away for years as his brother's death signalled his own mating signs. And the temptation of his brother's widow was too much.

Channing was alpha and protective and worked so hard to grow up and provide for Julia and Geo. He'd protected them for so long from afar that this book is a gorgeous tale of homecoming and new love. The love story is sensitive to the relationships that existed with Channing's dead brother but allows for the new love to grow naturally. And these two really shouldn't be kept apart. His alpha command can make her spontaneously climax. Surely we all need a bit of Channing alpha in our lives?

Julia is Channing's widowed human sister in law... her son is coming into his shifter abilities and Channing comes back into their lives to help... in the meantime he's dealing with his feelings for his dead brother's wife, not to mention being targeted by other shifters.

Channing and Julia’s story is a wonderful read. Julia is his brothers widow trying to raise her shifter son on her own. Channing knows he needs to step in and help, but also realizes that Julia is his fated mated. When danger comes a calling he has to step up. How they make it all work to find their HEA makes for a fantastic page turning read!

I enjoyed this addition to the Rose and Savino’s long-running Shifter Ops series, but it felt weaker than previous books. Channing, the hero, is a bit of a gadabout. His sister-in-law Julia doesn’t have a high opinion of him after he left her and her young son when his brother (and Julia’s husband) died ten years earlier—and hasn’t communicated with them very much since. And honestly, at the start of Alpha’s Command, Channing comes across as a guy who basically wants to enjoy a good shifter fight and not much else.

Yes, Channing evolves over the course of the book, as he needs to become a role model for his now-teenaged nephew who is undergoing his first shifts into his wolf. But even at the end, I still felt like Channing was a young hero, closer to his nephew than to the woman he’s loved for years.

There are incongruities in Alpha’s Command. The fight scenes are way over the top—we’re talking rocket launchers are set off and things are destroyed. But somehow, no cops or firefighters ever show up, and the shifters can engage in these long, epic, noisy battles without interruption? I found that as hard to swallow as I did in believing that Julia would never date for ten years. I would have liked to have seen Julia move forward in her widowhood as a progression, not be utterly loyal to one brother and then instantly shift affections to the other. And Channing played the field during those intervening years (which is odd considering what Julia meant to him) while Julia didn’t at all? I didn’t prefer the “faithful woman waiting at home” stereotype that came across to me here.

Alpha’s Command is still a fun read. Channing’s lightheartedness is a refreshing change from the usual broody shifter, and the sensual scenes are beautifully intense. But those incongruities stuck out to me, alas.

“Why would Fate make us both fall for the same human female?”

Channing… *sigh*

I’ve been waiting what seems like forever for this book! Channing has always been my favorite shifter in the pack and I wanted so much for him to finally find his HEA. I’ve always known there was more to him than his outwardly charming, laid-back ways indicated. He’s still the same Channing, playful, fun, teasing, but he’s also protective, loyal, passionate and dominant, something I somehow wasn’t really all that surprised to discover. What was unexpected was his insecurities, his beliefs that he was less than he should be and somehow unworthy of love and happiness. Falling for his much loved and missed dead brother’s widow just seemed to reinforce his feelings of inadequacy and doubts that he could ever be someone she would need or want. Yes, Channing proved to be a lot more complex than I think anyone realized, but just as wonderful as I expected.

Julia, Channing’s sister-in-law and fated mate, was a surprise as well. While I did get a little annoyed with her and how quick she was to misjudge him at the start, I also realize she didn’t really know the Channing we have all come to know and love as she hadn’t seen him in ten years. Her almost teenage reactions to his physical appeal were absolutely hysterical. She was constantly distracted by him running around without his shirt on, not that I blame her! I’d be trailing after him like a puppy myself. But, like she said herself, she’s a lawyer. Yet she tried to excuse her loss of coherent words by claiming “It might be his shirtlessness”. I mean, that’s not even a real word! Clearly he was messing with her brain as well as her libido from the very beginning. And he wasn’t very good at hiding how much he was attracted to her, either. Lucky girl! It was a lot of fun watching them dance around each other trying to fight their feelings.

I also absolutely adored Geo, Julia’s son and Channing’s nephew. What a cutie! I can’t wait to see him as he continues to grow and mature. I have a feeling he’s going to be as charming, gorgeous and irresistible as his uncle but, hopefully, without his inner turmoil and insecurities. I’m sure one day we will get to see his story although as he’s only 13 right now it will be years before we do. Meanwhile there’s still a bad guy on the loose and a new, bigger threat to deal with. There’s no way Renee and Lee are going to leave us hanging so I’m sure there will be more stories to enjoy very soon.

One last thing I’d like to say. Renee is fantastic at weaving past, present and future characters from all of her shifter series into her books. For example in this one we have appearances by Trey, Jared, and Caleb, among others, as well as the offhanded reference to other shifter packs where the males mate in pairs. I love how her shifter books, regardless of being in different series or written with different co-authors, all exist in the same universe. If you haven’t read any of her other books it’s ok. You don’t have to have read any to enjoy this one although even just reading the others in this series will enhance your enjoyment of this book. For readers who have read her other shifter books there are a number of fun Easter eggs that will be a delight and, for me at least, a little bit of a challenge. Some of the books she dropped references to I haven’t read in years and I found myself racking my brain trying to remember. Now that I’m finished with this one I’m going to go back and revisit a few of them, which will be a lot of fun. It will also help tide me over until her next book is published.

What a great, beautiful story to add to this series! I absolutely loved it. Usually in my reviews, I like to point out every single thing that bugged me even if I liked the book overall. But in this case, I honestly don't think there was a single thing that bugged me!

Having just finished the last book where I fell in love with the scrawny teen bear triplets, I was pleasantly surprised when this book opened with Channing going to rescue them after they put themselves in another ridiculous pickle. The kilted killers were delightful as always, and then we moved on to the romantic parts of this book.

Channing and Julia were a great couple, that had some big obstacles ahead of them. Their issues weren't miscommunication or contrived (I cAn'T cLaIm HeR, she's hUmAn!) like in some of the other books in this series. Julia was Channing's widow, which was weird for them and hard to overcome. If Channing hadn't left 10 years ago, I still don't think they could have worked through it at the time. They were both grieving. Channing was only 19, a decade younger than Julia, and still a hellraising teen. He had a lot of growing up to do. Julia would not have jumped into bed with her baby brother in law right after burying her mate. She could barely do it even 10 years later.

Despite the awkwardness and "wrongness" of their feelings, seeing them reunite 10 years later, get to know each other again after changing so much and falling in love was beautiful. Seeing Channing mentor his young teenage nephew Geo through his first shifting experiences and controlling his wolf was beautiful. Seeing them finally becoming the family they were meant to be was beautiful.

These authors are very fond of the 3rd act breakup. I think it's happened in every single book so far. Sometimes they pull it off, sometimes it feels quite contrived, so I was bracing for it a bit. But the mayhem that was unleashed took me by surprised. There is this huge action sequence where Channing and Geo are put in huge danger, and when Julia pulls up to the aftermath - blown up warehouse, fires still raging, dead bodies everywhere, naked shifters covered in blood - honestly I couldn't blame Julia for freaking out and pulling the plug. It was BAD. And with the information she had at the time, she thought this all had happened because Channing's dangerous job spilled onto her life. Having not just herself to think about (and her fear of losing another mate after burying her first) but her 13-year-old son's safety as well, she did what she thought she had to do.

Of course, it turned out that the danger had come from her own boss, not from Channing, and of course Channing was there to save the day when the shit hit the fan and she and Geo were kidnapped. This book had a LOT of action. Sometimes I had to back up a bit and re-read because so much was going on. We have some new villains that have been set up for future books as well a new fun side character, Buddy the skunk! Lots of past heroes made an appearance during the action sequences: the whole Black Wolf pack of course, but also Jared, Trey, Grizz, Caleb and the shifter stooges. It was fun to seen them again and they were all badass.

All in all, 10/10 book in this series. Delightful!

SORRY, NOT SORRY

The story is the fourth in the Shifter Ops series by the writing duo of Ms. Renee Rose and Ms. Lee Savino. They have written several other series together, a spin-off of the Bad Boy Alpha series. While this story is part of a series, it will read well enough as a stand-alone. The story’s two main characters will be Channing and Julia. But these two are not strangers because Julia was married to Geoffrey, his late brother.

“She’s a human. Forbidden. My brother’s widow. But deep down, my wolf believes she's mine.”

The story’s plot will have Channing coming to visit Julia and her son, Geo, who is a confused teenager trying to understand what is happening to him. Channing will help him understand and learn how to control the shift and other things that another wolf can explain. Julia is angry with Channing for showing up after being away for ten years but knows that Geo needs his uncle’s guidance.

“I honestly don’t know what’s going to happen between me and Channing. He’d done his share of shocking me. Disappearing. Staying away ten years. Reappearing and claiming I’m his mate. I’m having a hard time reconciling it all. I think I need to just forget the young man who left her so long ago and just get to know this Channing. The grown-up, dominant in the bedroom, nurturing to my son, Channing."

The story has the good, the bad, and the mysterious. With issues happening at the fight club, a shifter who masks his scent and is luring teens to the club. Channing shows up at Julia’s home to help with Geo. He is also fighting his wolf, who wants to claim her. Not everyone is whom they seem, there are issues that eventually will be resolved, and some that are still a mystery. The relationship between Channing and Julia is on thin ice, she wants him, yet she isn’t sure she can trust him. He left, and it’s been ten years that he has been away, she fears he will just vanish again, and then what? The erotic chemistry between them sizzles off the pages.

Channing: I’m not Geoffrey. I’m not the leader of my team. I’m a sell-out. I left the military to do work-for-hire. I’m still the guy who you’d rather invite to the party than have a serious conversation with.
Julia: Channing—maybe you’re not supposed to be Geoffrey. You’re supposed to be you.

What will happen with Channing and Julia, and Geo? Will they have a second chance, or will this be the end?

“I won the battle and lost the war.”

Another great addition to this shifter ops series, devoured in one sitting, all about family and an unusual type of fated mate.

Channing has been away in the military for 10 yrs, he's kept himself away from his family after his brother died, as his fated mate calling dropped into place at his brother's funeral, his fated mate being his sister-in-law. Julia is human and older than Channing and at the time had a young son, neither was ready for any type of relationship, so Channing went away on special ops, but never forgot about his family, keeping tabs on them and providing from afar.

But Channing's nephew Geo is now a teenager and is ready to become a shifter and Channing needs to be there to help and support him through his first changes, and so he returns home to Julia and Geo. The time away has helped Geo grow up and mature a bit - he's still charming, laid back, playful and cocky, but he is also ready to step up and take on his responsibilities to be there for Geo, what he wasn't expecting was the massive pull to Julia, she is definitely his fated mate, and the last thing Julia was expecting was him to show up being all mature, sexy (t-shirt optional), dominant, growly and quite alpha with her - feelings she hadn't experienced since her husband died started up again, the butterflies and the tingles, she couldn't stop gawking at him!

But underneath all that was the fact that Channing didn't feel he deserved Julia as his fated mate, he felt unworthy of any love she had to offer, he was the wrong brother, her husband had died and he could never fill that role.

But Channing did an awesome job with Geo, who was at that stage where he was very unsure especially with his shifting, something his mum couldn't help him with, so he was very glad Channing showed up and help him out, becoming part of the wolf family pack.

But there is a threat to the local shifters, some teens have gone missing, and Channing finds out the danger is very much closer to home.

A great read with a host of other characters from other books and series, great to see them all working together. I loved Channing, I understood how Julia could get Channing wrong as she had to put Geo first and foremost, without realising how much danger he was in. Looking forward to more from this series.

Alpha’s Command is book 6 in the Shifter Ops series and staying true to myself, this is the book I’m starting this series with.

Julia lost her husband 10 years ago. She never dated after and raised their son alone. She hoped his brother-in-law would stay in their life, but he was always wild and reckless and instead of helping her raise his half human-half shifter nephew, he disappeared. Julia and Geo were doing fine for years, but she dreaded the day when her son would start to shift. As a human, she wouldn’t be able to guide him through the transition.
Channing was always a screw-up. Growing up he got into a lot of trouble and when his wolf recognized his late brother’s mate as his, he knew he had to get away. He’s not worthy of her and never will be. But he can make sure they are safe and keeps an eye on them from a distance. When he realizes Geo Jr is changing he knows he can’t stay away any longer. They need him, even if Julia is resenting him.

Talk about pining!! Channing was in a difficult situation. He desperately wanted his sister-in-law but he didn’t want to dishonor his brother’s memory. This is the first time I read a book about a widow who is the hero’s SIL. I wasn’t sure how this would work and since this is a quicker read, there wasn’t really an opportunity to turn this into hundreds of pages of pining, but they both waited for 10 years and I loved that neither of them wanted to erase Geoffrey’s memory but instead, embraced his spirit.

This book is action-packed from page 1 and is filled with a huge variety of shifters I was unfamiliar with, but it was still easy to follow the story.
The spice was fun and I have to tell you something…the name Channing, plus referencing Magic Mike made me imagine C Tatum as a hero which was new. Somehow I always overlook him 🤭 His character (and Billy) was my favourite. Channing came a long way and I love how generous he was and how he took care of them from behind the scenes. I felt sorry he saw himself unworthy but was glad he finally found his place

Tropes: reverse age gap, fated mates, widow, crushing on SIL, found family, dominant hero, under the same roof, single mother, body diversity

A fantastic new story from Renee Rose and Lee Savino that sees wolf shifter Channing return to keep a promise he made to his dead brother to look after his widow Julia and their son Geo. Over the years he’s left them money but kept his distance never seeing them, thinking he wasn’t good enough to be around them but now the teenaged Geo has reached puberty and his wolf side has emerged so he must now keep his promise in person.

With a great action packed storyline, great characters and some seriously hot chemistry between the hero and heroine, Alpha’s Command is a great addition to the Shifter Ops series. I loved how the relationship gradually developed with both Julia and Channing sensitive to the other’s feeling regarding their deceased husband/brother. Channing especially considering he’s been in love with Julia for years but didn’t act on it out, not wanting to betray his brother but his sense of duty, which quickly turned into love, for his nephew made him face up to his feelings. Julia has to work through her feelings of abandonment just when she needed Channing the most but soon realises he’s the only one who can help Geo come to terms with the changes he’s going through. But there’s danger lurking out there for teenaged shifters and someone has been watching Geo and Julia despite Channing’s best efforts to protect them from afar but now he’s here he’s not about to let anyone hurt his family. Bonus points for the skunk shifter and also the glimpse of the bear triplets, Kilted Killers indeed!

A wonderful read about shifters and the contention of loving the sister of his brother
Channing has lost his brother and he is in a difficult situation as the wife that he left behind Julia is a wonderful and extremely attractive and he has very deep feelings for her although he is very aware that he has to tread very carefully so as not to cause any problems.
He has been trying to convince himself that he is not actually interested and that is was best if he simply sent both her and his nephew additional funds. In fact the truth is that he finds her very attractive and would have like to have visited before but did not want to seem as though he was betraying his dead brothers memory.
Now that the pup is reaching puberty it is essential that he has some help to experience the change and dealing with all that being a shifter involves, Julia has not forgotten the way he simply seemed to abandon them and this made her bitter, Channing is willing to do whatever it takes to change the way she feels about him.

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Channing prowls the perimeter, closing in on his objective. The home of his brother’s widow. Geoffrey chose the property well. Plenty of room to run. Plenty of trees to leave scent markers.Plenty of wind to catch her lilac and lavender. Just the thing to want her even more. Time to make his run for the border and check on their young son.
The mission tonight is the seemingly abandoned warehouse. The team of shifter ops waits for Channing to get to them. Time to rescue the teen hostages.
This club has been a front for a fight club of shifters and taking the teens that sign up for the fights through an app. The Ops group still has to find out who is behind it all.
Julia is a human mother on her own dealing with a shifter teen going through his first shift. After ten years in waltzes, Channing. The last person that she needs. Last thing she knew is that he was an irresponsible teen that left the family in the lurch after Geoffrey died. What she doesn’t know is that the military made him grow up quickly.
Channing hides a fateful secret though. That he is Julia’s Fate Mate. the one true male for her. He felt it at his brother's funeral. That’s why he ran away. To prove that he was as worthy to be with her as Geoffrey was. And he proves that he is.

I enjoyed reading Alpha's Command, I thought it was a good addition to Renee Rose and Lee Savino's Shifter Ops series. I liked the main characters, Julia and Channing along with Julia's son/Channing's nephew Geo. The only thing that I didn't really understand about the books was that Julia was Channing's deceased older brother, Geoffrey's mate and now she's Channing's mate as well. So I just never understood if she was always his mate and that's why he left or if he had a crush on her, couldn't handle his feelings after the death of his brother, so he left. And maybe I just missed the part where he said he always knew she was his mate but I feel like I wanted more of an explanation. Plus if he always knew she was his mate did the brother know? Just so many questions.
I really liked the suspenseful aspect of this book. Throughout the entire series there is this threat of an organization hunting shifters, so for it to connect to this story as well when they weren't on a mission or even in the town that the original story takes place surprised me.
I can't wait to see what Renee and Lee write next and I hope young Geo eventually gets his own story.

Channing was an misunderstood and tortured soul since he was a teenager. When his older brother died his world is turned upside down. Everyone has always seen Channing as a screw up with no care in the world but that is far from the truth. Channing finds his fated mate at his brother's funeral and she is his sister in law who is 10 years older, a lawyer and has a 3 year old son. At 19, this is a lot of responsibility, so Channing runs to become the man they need. Julia is hurt by Channing leaving when she needed him the most, but she fails to see even though he was not there physically everyday, he also provided for them in secret. I thought Julia was kind of selfish expecting a 19 year old to suddenly be responsible and the man she needed when he was dealing with his own grief. She never tried to reach out or console Channing. She was constantly judging him and discounting his feelings or thoughts. But when her son is in danger, Channing comes to the rescue. Overall, I enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next installment.

O. M. G. I could hardly stop reading this as I love this genre! Channing was a mess in his younger days, and he continued the reckless trend when his older brother and his wife took him in when he was nineteen, but is brother was killed. After he died, Channing inner wolf recognized that Julia was His mate as well, but he knew that Julia was not ready so he monitor her home, had his friend check on her and his nephew. He left after the funeral, stayed away or ten years and returned when Geo was thirteen because he would need his help as he went through shifting into his wolf as his mom was human and had no idea how to help. I loved that Channing grew up to be a fine man and stayed away from Julia until he could not fight his wolf any longer. I felt that Geo needed a wolf shifter to show him how to shift as his human friends' parents could not teach him how to do it as he did want to be different and hide his abilities. I have never read the first books and I CAN'T IMAGINED HOW THEY COULD GET ANY BETTER!!

First, these two authors are amazing and they always bring their A-game when writing these stories and others. This book is another in a long line of greatness. Channing is in a class of his own. He made a promise to his brother that he would look out for his wife and son, but Channing has stayed away for 10 years looking after them from afar. Channing was trying to do right by his brother. He made sure that Julia and Geo were safe and had what they needed. But he had to stay away. Julia was too much temptation. To lust after his dead brother’s wife was wrong, right? Julia hadn’t seen Channing in 10 years. A decade and he made no effort to see them. Why now? With Geo starting to shift, he needs a shifter to help him through. But with Channing so close, he is tempting Julia. She can’t have feelings for him, right? You have to love that these two are fighting their attraction for each other. So, Julia is older than Channing. He is a shifter and hot. But he also made some really stupid mistakes. Not telling her about why he stayed away was a big one as well as the security. I was a bit upset with that too. But thank goodness they both follow their hearts. I felt heart sick at some parts. This was so good. Renee and Lee, you did it again. Thank you

Love this Series - Especially this Story!!

Two phenomenal authors, and when they write together Magic happens.

Our “hero” is wolf-shifter Channing. He was 19 when his brother died leaving his human mate Julia and child Geo. Asked to “watch over them”, he must do so at a distance, because as soon as his brother was no longer in the picture his wolf realized Julia was also his mate. He could never measure up to his brother.

One check-in has him realizing that Geo, now 13, has shifted. Being half human, there was a chance he would not. Now Channing must re-insert himself and train Geo how to handle his wolf.

Emotional, action-packed, romantic, and a glimpse of some old friends. Danger is afoot, and it will take the pack to keep everyone safe. This is the book I hope I am reading every time I pick one up!!

***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****

I enjoyed Channing's character. Fun, humorous, witty, sarcastic, as well as being kind, generous, loving, and loyal. I loved the way he stepped in and stepped up for Geo.

I am glad that Channing's and Julia got their HEA. I think that Channing's and Geo were the stars of this book. Julia was just a nice supporting character.

This book had a good amount of action, danger, and suspense. It's always great when Rafe and the team step into action. Buddy's involvement was a great treat. I had my suspicions, but enjoyed bit when they were confirmed.

Now the questions. What is Hannibal? What is his background? I have others, but that will lead into spoilers. I am looking forward to the next book in this series no matter what path it takes.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This was a special forces paranormal shifter romance.

Julia works from home as a private legal counsel to a billionaire. She has spent the last ten years since her husband Geoffrey's passing raising her son Geo. He is thirteen and experiencing his first shifts and she doesn't know how to help him.

Channing is her much younger brother-in-law. He lived with her family until Geoffrey passed them joined the service and is now part of a shifter special operations unit. He has kept an eye on Julia and Geo and moved back in to help his nephew learn to shift. He knew after his brother passed that Julia was his fated mate also and left out of respect to his brother.

There is a sweet mixture of romance, steam and action throughout the book. The fighting scenes will make you lose your breath, in more ways than one. And of course, the main characters get their HEA. Highly recommend!

Alpha’s Command brings us Channing’s HEA with Julia in this second-chance romance that was a fun read. I’ll start by saying that I love this special forces shifter group. All of the guys are distinctive in terms of character and together, well, I’d love to sit around when they start up and munch on popcorn while they fight. The snarkiness is abundant with this group. Add in both the AZ and NM wolfpacks along with the bears and it’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye. And well, it’s still pretty fun. And no, no one lost an eye…in this story. There’s so many details in this story that I really enjoyed—that Channing is younger than Julia, the nephew coming into his own wolf (so to speak), Julia’s strength, Channing’s dominance (swoons), and I could go on and on. It’s a great romance with paranormal elements that take it up a notch and make it that much better.

A Promise Fulfilled….

The sixth book in the Shifter Ops series was a great read with full action and adventure as they investigate the disappearances of young shifters but while Channing checks up on his late brothers family he realises that they need him guide his young nephew through his transition..
Julia has successfully managed the juggle of raising her son, working as a lawyer for a billionaire businessman and home life but when she notices Geo going through his transitions in becoming a wolf she knows this is becoming a bigger challenge to deal with so when Channing comes back on the scene to help Geo…Julia is fighting her attraction and her memories of her husband…
This story was a joy to read with its action, intrigue, suspense and steam in all the right places and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series…

Great story! couldn’t put it down!

Channing and Julia. This was an excellent shifter story with a bit of a twist. Julia’s husband, a shifter died ten years ago. Geoffrey’s brother Channing left right after the funeral. He stayed away because he realized that day that Julia, his dead brothers mate, was also his MATE! But now his nephew Geo was thirteen and needed guidance as he began to learn about his inner wolf and shifting. Can Channing help his nephew while leaving his mate Julia alone? Julia only remembers Channing as a goofy kid always in trouble. Now she sees the man he’s become. She fights her feelings for him but realizes how much both her and her son need him! Great story! Wonderful characters. Hot romance! Just all around exciting! I loved this book and anything else by this author!

This latest entry in the Shifter Ops series features Channing who promised his brother he'd look out for his family after his death. Unfortunately, Channing has spent the past 10 years looking after them from afar because being close to his brother's widow is simply too difficult. Because he certainly doesn't think of Julia as a sister-in-law! But now things have changed and he needs to be there for his family. But the question is can he be there to guide his nephew through his first shift and walk away again or will he acknowledge his feelings? This was an enjoyable paranormal romance with plenty of steam and a touch of suspense. Renee Rose and Lee Savino have another great entry in this series.

Channing finally gets his story!

Book 6 follows jokester Channing going on a secret mission from his crew. He is secretly in love and the fated mate to his dead brothers wife but he has stayed away because he considers himself a f$&k up but his nephew needs him.

What follows is a beautiful story between 2 adults stuck in the past but trying to move forward. There is angst, humor, drama and adorable romance.

Fair warning, this book is the least spicy of the series but the most fun.

And EVERYBODY makes an appearance, especially an abundance of wearbears from the Alpha Bad Boys Series as well as the shifter ops and a new shifter kind you would least expect. Tears of joy to see some favorites from past books.
