I don’t know if I would say and/or recommend this short story to anyone that doesn’t know Kaden and Lexie already. This story is what I refer to as a moment in time and could possibly be categorized as an extended epilogue of sorts. It’s a Valentine Treat that doesn’t disappoint in the sexy and Carly’s signature writing style. I loved it.

This is a fun, sweet and sexy Valentine's novella featuring Kade and Lexie from Going Down with appearances from the rest of the gang from The Billionaire Bad Boys series. Kaden and Lexie need some alone time from the stress of everyday life; however, they end up with a surprise that catches them both off guard. I love this couple and reading this short story has me excited to re-read there story!

This novella is about Kade and Lexie who are married and have a toddler. It’s coming up on Valentine’s Day and Kade decides that he wants some time alone with his wife. They plan a getaway with friends to an exclusive island. Every couple needs time together, but they each have a weird feeling. I loved seeing these characters and what is happening in lives after their stories end. I just wish it wasn’t over so quick!

This one is listed as a standalone, and while it technically is, I don't think there is really enough backstory of Kaden and Lexie for it to really work if you haven't read the book that features them as the central couple.
But, if you have read it, this was a fun and quick read that lets you spend a little more time with characters you really enjoyed originally.
I enjoyed and recommend this title for people who have read Going Down.

This is a great Valentine’s Day novella. It’s a fun way to get to know some characters from this series, I didn’t realize I had only read the first two so now I want to read the other ones. Loved how much Kade and Lexie loved each other. Even through some insecurity, Kade had faith in their love. Had some tears over his childhood and loved how he’s such a great Dad to his son Matty. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.

A quick short read about Lexi and Kade from the billionaire badboy series (going down easy) they want time together but it’s hard with work and a child. A trip away to Eden (Gabe Dare’s resort) seems like a good thing and no kids. Will this couple be able to reconnect and discover a surprise Eden is famous for?????? Love all the characters from this series.

I always love it when an author gives us a snippet of characters we love! I love all the guys and girls in the Billionaire Bad Boys series. This short story revisits Kaden and Lexie. I would not recommend reading this without reading their first book. I'm always a fan of this author. Love Kaden and Lexie and their Valentine's day retreat!

Going Down Again is a quick Valentine's short story that features Kade and Lexie from Going Down Easy. Even if you haven't read the original book, this sexy look into their relationship shows you just how connected they are and what a great couple they are.
Kade decides instead of a Valentine's gift, time with his wife is more what he wants and what he needs. He makes arrangements and lets Lexie know they are headed away for the weekend.
Lexie is ecstatic that she is going to get time with her husband and also a little bit of a break away from their two-year old son. When she starts to feel ill on the trip, does she tell her husband or keep it to herself?
This was all too short, but awesome nonetheless!

This is a short read for Valentine’s day. Kaden and Lexie are so busy with like and their two year old that Kaden needs some alone time. I loved that all the guys went shopping together for Valentine’s presents. Kade had a great idea of them all going away with their wives for a long weekend to Eden. Kade and Lexie were loving their alone time. There are some surprises that pop up on the island! This is a cute read I encourage you to get. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

I loved getting to revisit Kaden and Lexie Barnes. I loved their story in Going Down Easy, and this short story was like a gift from Ms. Phillips.
Kade and Lexie, like all couple with a small child, have less and less time as a couple, even with a full time nanny. I love Kade and Lexie both took matters into their own hands to find time for romance. Lexie by seducing her husband when he gets home from work, and Kade by planning a get away with family to Eden. Fans of the series will love that not only do you get to see Kade and Lexie, but all the other couples as well. I loved seeing how much Kade's and Lexie's love had grown for one another since the series ended. Yes they both still seemed to have a few insecurities, but their love was so strong it just gave me all the happy feels.
Going Down Again was such a sweet and sexy story. I think readers will understand the characters much better if they have read Going Down Easy. However, I know after reading this novella, readers will want to go back and get their full story as soon as possible.

Kaden and Lexi were two of my all time favorite couples that Carly has shared with us. I love how Kaden is by no means the “perfect man” but yet he is the perfect man for Lexi.
In “Going Down Again” we meet up with Lexi and Kaden married and parents to a rambunctious and very sensitive little boy. Lexi feels like she’s constantly on the go with Matthew and tending to his needs. She needs a break and she doesn’t even realize it.
Kaden Barnes is a busy man with his app company that he runs with his best friends. He has everything a man could want but time alone with his wife.
Valentine’s Day is approaching and Kaden is at a loss what to get his wife. He knows Lexi doesn’t just want things, so he decides an adult only get away is in order. Kaden takes Lexi to an exclusive resort run by a colleague.
A very private get away is just what these two love birds need to get back on the same page. No spoilers but there will be another HEA for Kaden and Lexi. Hopefully we will see them again down the line.

Kamden decides that instead of buying his wife a Valentine’s Day gift, he’s going to take Lexie away for the weekend to reconnect on the island of Eden, an exclusive playground for the rich. He feels like between the demands of their company and of their 2 year old, they haven’t spent much time together just as a couple. Going Down Again is a super short story that belongs in the Billionaire Bad Boys series by Carly Phillips. I feel like it would be better if whoever decides to read this story has read Going Down Easy in the past. Anyone who hasn't will just read a story about a couple who has to spend some quality time alone probably since before the birth of their child and how they redeem that. To me, a person who has read the main novel, the book was something more. Not only do I love getting short stories like this one about couples whose stories I have read before and I feel like I am getting an epilogue, but also, I like seeing that no matter what happens to our couple, they will always find a way to fix it and be happy. The story was simply short and sweet! To me, it was a treat and I would certainly recommend it, but not as a stand-alone. Of course, you are free to read it without reading GDE and sample Carly Phillips's writing.

Going Down Again by Carly Phillips was a great short story/novella. It was so wonderful to catch up with Kaden and Lexie; along with the partners and friends. Kaden still has his quirks but Riley loves him anyway. I love that they each accept the other for who they are. They've made a lovely and happy life together; in addition to a beautiful family. Dealing with a child with Kaden’s idiosyncrasies had to be a challenge to Kaden and Lexie; one they were prepared for. The guys deciding to take their wives away for a Valentine’s day gift was an amazing gesture. It was nice to get a glimpse and find out what they’ve been up to since the end of the series. I highly recommend Going Down Again to other readers.

Kristi Bromberg is a master at writing stories about independent women who manage to rise above their circumstances to succeed and find love. In this story, widow Tatum Knox is left with a ranch on the edge of foreclosure after her dead husband had gambled away all her money. Worse, he told the town people that his wife controlled the money and she was the one who wasn't paying their bills.
Jack Knox, answers an ad to become her ranch manager for 6 months to help her try to save her home. Both Jack and Tate have secrets and need to learn to trust themselves and each other before they can ever heal the damage within.
As with all Kristi Bromberg books there will be tears before eventually getting to a Happily Ever After.

In this wonderful short Kaden Barnes is living the life, he has all he could every imagine. The only problem he can see as that he doesn't have enough alone time with his lovely wife. Having a toddler keeps them busy and he misses the time they use to have together. He loves his son, he would just like to find a better balance with their time. He decides to surprise Lexie with a Valentine's Day getaway at the island of Eden. It will be time for them to reconnect and spend some much needed alone time together. He soon realizes that something is going on with his wife and worried about what it could be. Follow along as these to lovebirds take some time to reconnect, will Lexie's secret throw a wrench in their plans or will it be something they can deal with as a couple.

First off this is NOT a book you can read if you haven't already read Kade and Lexie's story. It will not make sense and you will think it's short and pointless.
Now if you have read about Kade and Lexie before, this is a peek into their life since having their son. It's a cute, fun Valentine's Day read. (Why is Valentine's Day as big of a draw as Christmas stories?!)
I'm torn by it's shortness. Sometimes you just want a quick read, but sometimes the story is too short and leaves you wanting more. Right now I'm left wanting, and would've loved to read more. However I'm not unhappy with the story, just my own idiosyncracy

Kade has no idea what to get his wife for Valentine's Day and he has sensory issues that make shopping difficult. Even though his with his friends and partners Luke and Derek, he reaches his limits quickly. Then he realizes Lexie doesn't need a gift she needs alone time with him and family. He pitches the idea of a vacation without the kids to his friends.

I LOVE going back and visiting couples from earlier stories. I am all about sequels and continuations and follow up so this story gets me.
Kade and Lexie, and the whole Billionaire Boys family were introduced to us through earlier books. Each couple has their own story and if you haven’t read them, I highly suggest you do. Kade and Lexie now have a son, lots of responsibilities and just need some alone time. The island of Eden (from other stories) seemed like the perfect getaway. But the surprises that await them are NOT what they planned. Will they be able to make it a special Valentine’s day anyway? I’m sure they do....LOVED this mini-story.

Going Down Again is a delicious bonus read by the amazing Carly Phillips surrounding Kaden & Lexie. However, you really need to read Going Down Easy (Book 1), which is their story to happily ever after first, otherwise, you really just won't have the full scope of this bonus round. Kaden has everything he never knew he wanted, but now, he needs to be alone with his wife Lexie. He takes her on a getaway, and as soon as they're there, he senses there is something really bothering her, which he intends on getting to the bottom of. Let the extreme hotness begin, and yet, there's a twist coming so hit those one click buttons to find out what it is! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

A special treat is definitely the right way to describe this short story! Kaden and Lexie are one of my all time favorite Carly couples, so I was thrilled when I found out they were starring in this sweet and sexy V-Day short! Finally being able to take a mini getaway for Valentine’s Day, Kaden wants nothing more than to spoil the love of his life Lexie. But it’s pretty clear to him that she has a lot more on her mind than just him. But as we know, this amazing couple embraces whatever comes there way and this may just be the best Valentine’s Day present ever. Loved it!!
