What a crazy, turbulent ride of emotions. After the back and forth between Danielle and Mike and the crash and burn in book one...this story throws the two back together after an accident lands Mike in the hospital. Lots of drama, people hurt, tension pulling everyone every which way...this story has it all. It was freaking intense! I loved the stable, safe influence of Jason and the journey towards a wiser, healthier Danielle. But...be prepared for angst and tears and not so wise decisions as well. Lots of peaks and valleys from beginning to end. I wasn’t sure how the book was going to end but happily I was smiling when I met the last page. Worth the bumpy ride for an emotionally wrenching story.

One moment changed everything for co-workers Danielle and Mike, one heated moment that never should have happened. Mike knew the rules and he broke them, he just couldn't keep his hands to himself, and it cost them both dearly. But then she ended things and walked away, citing it was for the best for both of them.

But now here she is, with another man named Jason, and he can't believe his eyes. The woman he loves has already moved on with someone knew, almost as if she didn't care as much as he thought. He was distracted by their interaction and didn't see the other vehicle and then his life went black. While his world was dark, Danielle's was falling apart. She wouldn't deny that she still loved him, but she also couldn't deny that she was with Jason now, and things were going great for them. Or were they? What if the man lying lifeless in a hospital was supposed to be the man she was with?

Fixing the Broken is a story of second chances, love, forgiveness, and new beginnings. Danielle and Mike weren't supposed to see each other again, but it was a chance meeting that changed everything. The damage they had caused to one another should have been enough to permanently keep them apart, but all it took was one look, and everything shifted. Suddenly the new life Danielle had created didn't seem as great, and it had her second guessing everything. What if she made the wrong choice all those months ago?

This is an angst filled torture fest, two men, one owns her heart and the other is just basically renting it, and she can't decide which is the right one for her. If she chooses Mike she has reservations about it being for the right reasons or if she is just falling back into old habits? And Jason is nothing like him, he's sweet and giving, and everything she should want, but does she really? I could understand Danielle's hesitation, giving her heart to a man that broke it once before, that alone would make anyone second guess his intentions. But I disagreed with the way she went about some things, her actions weren't always justified or right. With that being said I did enjoy the read, I just had some troubles wrapping my head around the heroines actions at times. If you enjoy heartstring tugging tales then I have no doubt you will like what you find here, this one is bound to take you on one heck of an emotional roller coaster ride!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

When I read a love triangle I always have a favourite and one I dislike because of their actions. This story brought out some conflicting emotions as I liked both Mike and Jason and to my surprise it was Danielle I ended up feeling angry with. So Mike crossed a line that had huge implications in her life and when she moves on with Jason she sees it as a new beginning but it felt she was settling. When another change happens it changes their lives again and I hated how she went from one to the other. Ultimately this is a story about forgiveness and second chances so I guess it all worked out but it just frustrated me.

Danielle is in love with 2 men, but only one owns her heart, will she finally choose between them? Mike is a co-worker who crosses a line, and this changes the outcome of Danielle’s live. When Danielle meets Jason, she slowly starts to put the pieces of her life back together, but what will Mike’s reaction be? This is a good story which pulls at the heartstrings, and is about 2nd chances, forgiveness, and love, with a tad angst thrown into the mix. I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend.

Fixing The Broken by J.L. Stray
My Review: ☆☆☆☆

This story was an agnst filled love triangle. Typically in a love triangle story I'm rooting for one guy over the other but in this book both guys are just so great. Instead I found myself getting slightly annoyed with the female lead Danielle! Forgiveness is key to this emotional roller-coaster story.
