Summer Quinn’s life changed five years ago when she walked in on her boyfriend and her best friend in bed together. She silently left, ghosting both of them, and never looked back. She came to Bitterroot Valley, looking for a fresh start, and that’s exactly what she got.

After purchasing the local floral shop from her eccentric aunt and finding herself again in the absolute delight she brought to the community, Summer feels welcome and safe in her new home.

But things have started to happen. At first, she could blow it off as bad luck, or kids starting trouble. But then the bad luck turns into serious, life-threatening incidents that can’t be ignored.

Bitterroot Valley is Chase Wild’s town. His family settled the area almost a hundred and fifty years ago, and as a police officer, Chase takes pride in keeping his community safe. Sure, he’s had his eye on the gorgeous florist since she moved to town, but he’s kept his relationship with her strictly professional.

Now, someone’s trying to scare Summer. She claims she doesn’t know why, but Chase is determined to get to the bottom of it and drive the danger out of his town. As time passes, and the more he gets to know Summer, the harder it is to keep his hands off of the beautiful woman. With their connection growing, he’s falling in love with her and will do anything to keep her safe.

As Chase learns the truth of who is threatening Summer, will he be able to protect her, and will their love withstand the challenges ahead?

Chasing Wild is a standalone, contemporary romance novel, and book two in the picturesque Wilds of Montana series.

Chasing Wild by Kristen Proby

4/5 stars

Chasing Wild is the second book in The Wild of Montana series. I haven't read the first one yet. But I really liked this one.

The book starts with Summer finding her boyfriend in bed with her best friend. She decides to quietly leave them and moves to her aunt Paula's house faraway from them. And she really needed that escape. Her family is stifling and they don't respect her choices.

Montana truly heals her heart and soul. And she makes amazing friends over there. She takes over the shop from her aunt and her co-workers are so kind and supportive.

After someone tries to break into her home, officer Chase Wild and his brother Brady install a security system. And she and Chase finally take the next step and start dating. And that is what this story is about. About her love for Chase and his family. The bond she has with her friends. And finding out who is harassing her.

I really like the story. But this book is so, so sweet. So kind, so gentle, so supportive. And even though the storyline of the break in is in the book. I didn't add much action in the story. It was a little too sweet for me. So that is why I am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars. I know that some people will love it and devour it. But I prefer a book with a bit more rumble in it. So 4 stars overall from me.

Thank you Valentine PR for the opportunity to read and review this book. I am forever grateful. This review is written voluntarily and the opinions are my own.

This series came as an awesome surprise earlier this year with Wild For You. I hadn't read a Kristen Proby novel in many years, but Romance Bookstagram was all a flutter and I couldn't help but dive in. After enjoying that first entry so much, I couldn't wait to see what Chasing Wild had to say.

I was not disappointed.

Summer and Chase had me smiling and blushing through my whole trip back from Iowa to North Dakota today. It was a wonderful way to spend a drive. Caught up with the small town of Bitterroot Valley and all it's crew had me hooked.

I loved seeing how things were progressing for Erin and Remi as well, a big part of this novel is helping with the wedding, as Summer is a florist and is involved in a lot of events. I just loved the cozy vibe of it all.

This was a friends to lovers, it's about time we date, why-have-we-waited-so-long-when-everyone-knows-we're-perfect-for-each-other type of story. Haha! Which was a really nice change. While there of course is some suspense thrown in to keep us on our toes and to get Chase and Summer close to each other at first, it was just a pleasant romance to watch.

You can read this one as a standalone, but especially since they are working on the wedding of the couple from Book 1, I recommend you start there.

This was wonderfully performed by Stella Hunter and the delightfully growly Connor Crais. The narration was full-bodied and engaging the whole way through. I gobbled this whole story down in one sitting this weekend.

3.5⭐️

Summer is leading a life she’s not passionate or happy about, but which has been forced onto her by her demanding parents, so when she finds her boyfriend in bed with her best friend she decided to pack up her life, leave everything behind & move to the small town of Bitterroot, Montana.

This book is a really short & simple read, coming in at just under 300 pages, so I flew through it, however the pacing sometimes felt a little slow for me so the book dragged in some places. This book was incredibly sweet, & quite enjoyable though, however I’m giving it a 3.5 because there just wasn’t anything about it that stuck out to me. I loved the first book in the series so I was excited about reading this one, however I think the issue for me was the fact that this was friends to lovers & I’m surprisingly not really a fan of that trope😭 hence why this might’ve been a little boring for me. However, even though the mystery plot was obvious to me from the beginning, it still kept me engaged & on the edge of my seat.

Summer was an endearing character. I loved the fact that even when shit blow up in her face she didn’t dwell on it or sook about it. She kept her head held high and persevered, & always wore a smile on her face. She was just pure sunshine & goodness. Chase was also a ray of sunshine. He was kind, gentle, protective, & manly in the best way possible. Together they were both just a very positive & sweet couple.

My issue with the friends to lovers trope is that the tension in most books with this trope always suffers, & I’m someone that NEEDS tension in the books I read otherwise I’ll be bored. & that’s unfortunately what happened here🫤 Their friendship & relationship was super cute, & they were a healthy couple, however I would’ve liked more build up & tension🙏🏼

One thing I really loved in this book though was the girl gang🥹 it was SO wholesome watching them all come together, and it has me feeling excited for the rest of the books in the series😍

Overall, it was a cute & sweet story that I still enjoyed, but just missed the mark a little for me.

🎧🎧AUDIOBOOK REVIEW🎧🎧

Narration ⇒ I really can’t complain because I enjoy both Stella Hunter & Connor Crais tremendously when they’re in my ears. I used my subscription to Everand to listen to this audiobook and the site is a godsend to my wallet!

Story ⇒ Soooooooooo, if you look back to the first book in this series and my review, I was highly disappointed. This story was a significantly more enjoyable romance journey for me, but this isn’t just a romance journey. There’s a suspense arc in the storyline that just fell very short for me. This will not resonate with everyone that might read this review, but I have to tell you what kept rolling thru my head from basically the start of this book >>> "There is only one Devney Perry." If you have to ask what that means, then you didn’t feel the book the same way I felt it and that’s okay. No two people read the same book and all that so *shrug*

Here's the thing, you have to make me believe in the circumstances happening in a story or what’s the point? Can anyone honestly tell me they did not know who the person behind the shenanigans being done towards Summer was from practically the beginning of this story? Did I know the reason for the shenanigans? No. Did I know how tangled that web of #fuckery was? No. So that’s what was suspenseful to me, the why and the co-conspirator. And guess what? Neither of those things was even a little bit fleshed out. The final event happens and then it’s practically the end of the book. WHY? WHY ANY OF IT? This book is only a few weeks out of release, but I need to vent so …

I’m invested in Ryan’s story already so I’m definitely moving forward with this series but maaaaaaaaan I am hoping against hope she does better than she’s done with these last two books! *fingers crossed*

I requested the ARC for Chasing Wild, because I enjoyed the first book in the Wilds of Montana series and I’m glad I did!

💙Friends to Lovers
💙Found Family
💙A Creative/Florist Heroine (owns business)
💙Suspense Subplot (ultra light)
💙Heroine’s Girl Crew

Summer Quinn did not want the life her parents had planned for her. So after seeing her boyfriend in bed with her friend, Summer left her old life behind for Bitterroot, Montana. Fast forward 5 years later, Summer owns a successful flower shop, is happy making arrangements, and owns a rescue pup named Lily. Chase Wild has pined for Summer since she came to town 5 years ago, but stayed friends with her. Chase and Summer’s romance began slowly when someone tried to break into her house the 4th of July, and he was the responding officer. He would bring her lunch to make sure they eat and bonded with Lily! I love how he didn’t jump to conclusions but gave her space to talk even when the situation didn’t look good. They communicated well and were mature characters! The only ow/om drama came from the prologue that was explained within the book itself and another guy who wanted to date her for family’s political connections. The suspense subplot was ultra light and tied in well to the plot of the book. The heaviest parts of the book came from a secondary character (Jake) and his story being set up for the next book. None of this overshadowed the romance, which was slower but not obnoxiously so! There spice was what I except from Kristen Proby.

Chasing Wild has all of the feels that I wanted in a friends to lovers with a protective hero! I cannot wait for Ryan and Polly’s book! I cannot wait to see Jake, too! Thank you to Valentine PR and Kristen Proby for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

"She’s addictive. I knew she would be, and that once I started kissing her, getting my hands on her, I wouldn’t want to stop. I was right."

I adored Chase & Summer, they were so loveable! This is my first time reading a book by Kristen Proby and it was really engaging. The plot was lighthearted but also had some thrill. I loved Chase. He did everything right. He was smart, strong, sensible and I liked how he was always there for Summer. Summer was cute and kind but sometimes I found her to be very naive and I just hoped that she was more aware of her surroundings because the situation she found herself in was very alarming and she should've not taken it so lightly the first time it happened with her. But I liked the romance, it was simple and the chemistry between Chase & Summer made me feel the butterflies. The plot and the culprit though was very predictable and the ending felt abrupt tbh. I mean one minute the whole thing is unraveled and the next, Chase & Summer are getting their HEA. While I enjoyed the book, it wasn't anything extraordinary. So, it was a 3.5 star read at its best for me.

I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review

Chasing Wild is the second book in The Wilds of Montana series and to say I loved it is an
understatement! Let's talk about the characters. A cowboy cop who's good with his hands in every sense of the word and who sends his girl lunch everyday? Sign me up! Chase Wild sets the bar high for other book boyfriends and is the very definition of swoon-worthy. He falls fast and hard for Summer and he doesn't believe in messing about! Their romance was fast burn, but well-paced with excellent spice, and the chemistry... was.. hot!
Summer is an independent, successful woman who is sweet and loveable and a real girl. I lived for the scenes with her girl crew - their banter was hilarious and I loved how they supported each other. Chasing Wild is a super sweet, spicy, fun and uplifting read that left me craving a trip to Montana!

First Impressions
Chasing Wild is the second book in the "Wilds of Montana" and its also the second in this wonderful series. I will say that you can read these books as standalone, but understand that you will see characters from her other books. But I don't think you need to read those books to read these. My first impression from this story is that it was endearing and sweet. I loved the growth between these two and it was such a blast to be back into this town and this group of friends and family.

First Line
I'm so freaking tired.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Chase Wild
The Heroine: Summer Quin

Summary
Chasing Wild is a story of Summer coming back to her hometown and she sets up a floral shop in town. Its been a few years and she has really settled into her life with her dog. But then sparks start to fly between her and Chase Wild, when a series of events is putting her as a target for someone who is showing signs of stalking her. Chase seems to be the only man that she trusts. There is a strong connection that begins to form between them. But when the danger escalates for Summer, they are in a forced proximity situation that only builds their connection with each other.

What I Loved
This story was so endearing, I truly love these books the most from this author. There is something about them that so easily works for me and NO THIRD ACT BREAKUPS which she is well known for, so its really refreshing to see her write books that don't have those elements but are more suspenseful focused, so she is doing some things differently with her plots that I am really enjoying. I also have found that the romances are just so much more connecting than I remember her other books being. I am able to get into these stories so much easier.

What I Struggled With
I think the aspect I didn't like was the focus on feminism in this book. I get women want to be independent but the way it was portrayed just seemed like overkill to me.

Narration
SUPER BRILLIANT! These two are such a good team when they get together and they really brought this story to life. You really get sucked into the setting so well and the way that you want to fight for these characters is so wonderful in how they capture it just right.

Overall View
Chasing Wild was a endearingly sweet romance that delivered some solid feels and had much heart that made an impact! If you love small town romance, you need to give this series a try!

I am SO EXCITED to be back in Bitterroot, Montana ya’ll! This small town has engraved itself in my heart forever.

I have been DYING for the next Wild sibling, and Chase did NOT disappoint 😍 He is the ultimate book boyfriend, and I can’t wait to see him on all your lists😮‍💨. A COWBOY COP??? I mean come on 🥵 All the little things he did for Summer to make her feel loved and seen.. SWOON🥰 This man is obsessed with taking care of and protecting his woman and I am here for it.

I loved Summer from the moment we saw her in Wild for You. She is such a strong lovable FMC that you get to know and adore quickly. Also, I would LOVE to work at her flower shop. She is surrounded by a team of incredible women. I too want to join the Iconic Women’s Collective.

If you know Kristen, you know there is going to be some suspense in her storyline. This book will have you crying, laughing, and yelling at the pages. I already can’t wait until the next Wild brother, Ryan in hospital book, Wildest Dreams🤍

This was quite the enjoyable listen! Stella Hunter and Connor Crais did a fantastic job narrating Summer and Chase's voice. They brought these characters to life and I enjoyed the storyline. I loved this couple but I also loved all the many side characters that came with them. I need to go back and grab the audiobook for book one so I can get more while I wait for book three to release next. Great audiobook!

I just want everyone to know that I’m claiming Ryan - right here. Right now. Okay thanks, bye.

No, but all seriousness, this book was AMAZING. AGAIN. I don’t know how Kristen does this, but she always manages to grab the reader so quickly and I am completely enamored with this world by chapter two - again. It never fails.

Chase & Summer were everything I wanted in this book. I loved it so much because we didn’t have a ton of world building that was needed like the first book. Also, the two characters have been dancing around each other for five years and it was obvious in book one. So that made this whole story that much more enjoyable - we dove straight into their story.

The suspense in this story was *chefs kiss* and I loved it more than book one’s. I think it’s because with Chase being a cop, the suspense was more applicable to this story.

The Wild men, though, are absolutely amazing. Every single one of them. I love how caring and thoughtful they are, but also how much love they love their woman and value their family. Kristen wrote one of my favorite families to date.

Holy feelings. This book hit me right in the feels. Chase and Summer’s love story is one for the books. This small town has engraved themselves in my heart and I love seeing the new couples that form as the series progresses.

Summer’s heart was broken and she moved to Montana to start fresh. Chase was giving her time to heal before he tried making her his again. A series of events bring Summer closer to Chase because her life might be in danger and he is the town sheriff.

Let’s just saying solving mysteries is not the only thing the two get together for *wink* Chase is the ultimate book boyfriend. All of the little things he did for Summer to make her feel loved made my heart so happy. My girl deserved the world and I was so happy that she got it.

I really loved this book. It had all the swoony things. Your all around golden retriever good cop MMC, Chase, that literally worships the ground Summer walks on. Summer turned Chase down the first time he asked, but baby boy didn’t give up. And we’re so glad he didn’t. Give me any of the Wild brothers and I’d be happy. Love the found family aspect for Summer and the woman empowerment in this book. And Lily, their dog, such a sweet little comfort pet! This was a pretty light read with good spice, and a splash of drama. A perfect palate cleanser!

The dual narration between Stella Hunter and Connor Crais was perfection. I loved this duo together.

**Audio Review**Chase Wild = swoon! Chasing Wild by Kristen Proby was a sweet, swoony, and suspenseful romance full of heart and had everything I crave in a small-town romance. Summer and Chase’s journey was full of unexpected challenges and steamy moments that I couldn’t get enough of. I think I fall a little bit harder for each and every Wild and the town of Bitteroot Valley.

Stella Hunter and Connor Crais perform this audiobook in dual narration, and I need more of this pairing! Stella’s soothing, melodic voice captured Summer’s passionate and dedicated persona and also uncovered some vulnerabilities from her past that Chase helped her overcome. Connor took a warm charismatic tone for Chase that conveyed the love, longing, and protectiveness he felt for Summer and the citizens of Bitteroot Valley. Plus, the second-chance chemistry between these two was magnetic right from the start, and Stella and Connor brought the heat.

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a small-town romance with a hot chivalrous cop, a hardworking flower shop owner, a cute French bulldog, friends-to-lovers, dangerous lurkers, a new security system, swoony first dates, tub soaks, steamy times, loyal-loving family, mountain weddings, dream houses, hiking dates, shocking truths, and a HEA that will do wild things to your heart, then you will love Summer and Chase’s romance. I always look forward to more from Kristen Proby.

I had to DNF this book at 44%, I couldn’t make it through the second half of the book. Maybe it’s just me, but I thought the whole storyline was boring. There is supposed to be a suspenseful portion to the book where someone is scaring Summer, but I am halfway through it and nothing has happened or been looked into. Nothing really has happened other than Chase and Summer going on a few dates. Plus I love a small town romance but this had too many small town cliches. And some of the things that came out of the main characters mouth were so cringey

For example “Well, then, we didn’t see each other for a couple of weeks because we were both busy with work and stuff, but yesterday, he surprised me with a really sweet evening at his place, and…we went to pound town.” I think I literally threw up after this and that’s when I gave up with the book.

Chasing Wild is the second book in the Wilds of Montana series. This one is Chase and Summer's story. I was really looking forward to this one because I enjoyed the first book immensely. This one did not disappoint. Chase and Summer have been kind of circling each other for years. When Summer finally gives in and agrees to a date with Chase, sparks fly. I loved these two together. I loved how Chase took things really slow with Summer. It really built up anticipation for that first kiss. There is a little mystery as to who is trying to make Summer's life miserable. I liked that part of the story as well.
This is a great addition to the series and I can't wait to read Ryan and Poppy's book next!

After Summer walked in on her boyfriend and her best friend in bed together she ghosted both of them, and moves to Bitterroot Valley. She purchases the local floral shop from her eccentric aunt and begins to feel welcome and safe in her new home. But things have started to happen. At first, she could blow it off as bad luck, or kids starting trouble, but then the bad luck turns into serious, life-threatening incidents.
Bitterroot Valley is Chase Wild's town and as a police officer, Chase takes pride in keeping his community safe. Now, someone's trying to scare Summer, the gorgeous florist he's had his eye on, and she claims she doesn't know why. Chase is determined to get to the bottom of it. As time passes, the harder it becomes to keep their hands off of each other. With their connection growing, Chase will do anything to keep her safe. As Chase learns the truth of who is threatening Summer, will he be able to protect her?

Okay, this was cute!! It's safe to say that Kristen Proby has small town, romantic suspense down to a science and I can't wait for the next one! Chase Pampering Summer is just 😍🥵 We'd all be so lucky to have a Chase Wild in our lives! This is definitely classic, predictable romantic suspense and we all know I love predictable when it comes to my romance! If you're a small town girly or guy, you'll love this! I need more stars for this book! Definitely another masterpiece by Kristen Proby , seriously this whole series has been pure perfection. I’ve been talking about Wild For You for months, and let me tell you, Chasing Wild was just as good! I’m still swooning. 💞 I can’t wait for the next book to this series.

First the setting, the way Kristen writes makes Montana sound dreamy. I would visit Montana based on this book alone. The small town atmosphere, the close knit community, it’s all just so picturesque.

Next let’s talk about the main characters. I love that there isn’t any third act breakup. Our characters are friends to lovers, there’s not any drama between them. I love drama in my books, but sometimes it’s nice to swap up and read a really sweet, feel good romance. Our characters are confident in themselves and have so much chemistry.
Chase is a sexy cop, who goes out of his way for Summer on a daily basis. He is so thoughtful, considerate and understanding. Summer is as equally attracted to Chase, and is a strong business woman. She knows exactly what she wants.
There is some suspense for the plot, which I love and prefer over miscommunications and breakups. I love a good plot twist.

This is probably the longest review I’ve ever written, and I could honestly just keep going but I don’t want to spoil the book. To wrap this up, YOU 🗣️NEED 🗣️THIS 🗣️BOOK 🗣️

This was a cute boy obsessed romance based in a small town that I would highly recommend! 🐴

These books have a strong family bond representation which is amazing to read about.

If you want the best reading experience, I suggest that you first read Wild For You, another book in ‘The Wilds Of Montana’ series. ⛰️

In this book you follow Summer Quinn, a few years ago she moved to Bitterroot Valley to be with her aunt. She’s working in the flower business and has a sweet dog named Lily. 🦮

On one night, she heard that someone tried to break in and called the cops. Not just any cop came but Chase Wild. He’s part of one of the founding families of Bitterroot Vallet and was attracted to her from the start. He wants nothing more then to protect her and figuring out the truth…

I had the honor to meet Kristen Proby at Rare Paris and can honestly say that she’s such a lovely person! She totally made me and my friend’s day with her kindness. 🩷

Thanks to Valentine Pr, Kristen Proby and the publisher for providing this copy. All opinions are my own

📌”This is her home. I want her here every goddamn day. In this bed, in this house, or out at the ranch. I want to be wherever she is, always.”

I can’t tell you how many times my mind wondered about Summer and Chase since Wild for You. There was just something about those two that clicked with me. So, I daydreamed about them while I waited for this book.

I realize that yes, Kristen Proby is a master at setting up the next couple - as seen with Chasing Wild’s epilogue *sigh* 😌 - but I also like to believe that Summer and Chase were, themselves, unforgettable. It happens from time to time. You read a book and a certain character(s) just lingers, making you wish for more chapters with them or hoping to get their whole story.

And what a story it was. Because what’s even better than a MMC cop? A MMC… cowboy cop 😏 And what’s even better than a strong FMC? A strong FMC who is also hilarious 🤌🏼

I adored every page of this book and the Wilds of this small town Montana have me wrapped around their finger *sigh*

When I tell you, I basically tell every single person that will listen that wild for you is my favorite book and easily a top of 2024… so when I was picked to get an arc of chasing wild, I was ecstatic! I started this book a couple days ago And immediately the plot started going which is my ADD reader dream. I was curious in this book to see if there would be a suspense factor like book one had and there was but it was also very different from book one. Chase and summer are adorable together there was such a good plot without having extreme tension and issues between the two MCs and i ate it up. One of my favorite things in book series is when we get little sneak peaks of the upcoming books and I literally wrote down all my inferences for the next three books and I’m so excited for them

How is this only my second book by Kristen Proby? 🙈

Summer, being betrayed by her boyfriend and best friend was supposed to hurt, but she felt absolutely nothing. It was then that she made a decision to finally live for herself instead of her parents. And years later, that's exactly what she does. She is a successful business owner of a flower shop and dog mum.

Chase, is a police officer in Bitterroot Valley, and one of the Wild brothers. He has been interested in dating Summer ever since she moved into town, but she didn't give him a chance.

Seriously, how is this my second book by Kristen Proby, I'll definitely be rectifying that 🙈

Chasing Wild, was so amazing, I loved the friendship and amazing chemistry these two had. They had the cutest dates and let's not forget the spicy scenes 🔥 Chase is loyal, and so damn possessive ♥️

And lily 🐕(she was definitely more Chases dog in the end, lol)

...the little suspense weaved in was so good, my suspicions about who was stalking Summer...point on.

Book two of the Wilds of Montana series and boy, was I happy to be back! I enjoyed book one and book two was just as good.

With someone threatening and targeting local florist Summer, she begins to lean on Chase Wild, local police officer. Chase has always had a bit of a thing for Summer so when she needs him, the two start spending more time together. But who is on Summer's tail? Can Chase keep her safe?

This small town, friends to lovers cowboy romance with the found family trope thrown in, really was such a sweet story. The audiobook was amazingly done and had me feeling all the emotions our main characters were going through. There were so many great side characters but I love the way the author is building them all up as they all get their own story.

Oh, how I loved coming back to Bitterroot Valley and watching the beautiful relationship between Chase and Summer unfold.

This book was a swoon worthy romance with a side of suspense that had me captivated page after page. Chase and Summer's romance was sweet, sexy, intense chemistry, and definitely seductive. Kristen never fails to give us a story that's equal parts addicting and an unputdownable page turner.

Chasing Wild was an amazing read and one that you won't want to miss! The Wild Family series is quickly becoming one of my faves with all the witty banter between siblings, the family rivalries between neighbors, the strong females that bring these men to their knees and all around story telling that captures your heart!

“It’s as if the sound of the water drowns out all the noise in my head, and I can just be. I don’t have to worry or overthink anything because the water calms all those chaotic thoughts.”

It’s safe to say I am positively wiiild for Chase and Summer and all things Wild family and Bitterroot Valley! I already snagged Wild For You because I need more immediately!!

I loved watching Summer pursuing her dreams and living the life she wanted. It filled my heart with so much happiness.
Chase Freaking Wild honey, a filthy gentleman with a side of bossy, swear every side of him was delectable. Their story was stuff friends to lovers was made of.

The longing, the banter, the chemistry, the falling. The added suspense that had me nervous for what was next. Kristen Proby had me hanging onto every single word. I devoured this adorably sweet and spicy friends to lovers.

The audio, oooh how the audio absolutely HIT. Idk if I’ve been living under a rock or if it was the Connor Crais magic but your girl has a whole new appreciation for the phrase, “eyes on me.”
Stella Hunter, if she’s on the audio, you just know you’re in for a treat.
Together her and Connor Crais were pure aural excellence and I highly recommend this gem.

ARC REVIEW

“Chase that man down and ride him like the cowboy he is”

Summer has an unexpected turn of events in her life which leads her to the small town of Bitterroot Valley. She purchases a floral shop begins to lay down her roots, and finally feels at home when strange start happening. The police begin to get involved which leads Summer forming a friendship with local police officer Chase Wild.

This can be read as a stand-alone but you meet Chase in book one and I really loved watching his character grow throughout this book. How he separates what he’s doing and his future goals and how everything flows into his relationship with Summer was so sweet. While also watching Summer get the love and partnership she deserves.

Love immersing myself in the town of Bitterroot Valley, and will be excited to continue this series!

-small town
-he falls first
-cowboy cop
-friends to lovers
-suspense
-forehead kisses

I glance down, but his hand is on my chin in the blink of an eye, forcing my eyes back to his. "Eyes on me."

Chasing Wild is book two in The Wilds of Montana series. This follows Chase and Summer and is their story. I read the first book and thoroughly enjoyed it and was so excited for this one and it did not disappoint. If I could move to Bitterroot Valley, I so would.

Summer decided to start over after finding her boyfriend in bed with her friend. She leaves what she knows and decides to move to Bitterroot Valley. Five years later, she finds herself to be a successful flower shop owner and loves making beautiful arrangements. Chase Wild has always had a thing for her ever since she moved into town. He didn't make a move, so they've been friends. Summer and Chase find themselves together after she discovers someone breaking into her house and he is the responding officer.

This book is swoon worthy and Chase is just great. Summer and Chase, once they take the leap have fantastic chemistry. I also enjoyed that they communicated well.

Kristen always does a great job conveying her stories and this is no exception. She blends romance and suspense seamlessly and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Releasing May 7, 2024. I recommend reading this and the series. I love them! I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
