A scorching hot enemies-to-lovers office romance from USA Today best-selling author Marni Mann …

In the legal world, everyone knows my last name. So, when Declan Shaw—the hottest, most ruthless and sought-after litigator in the state—comes in to mentor my class’s mock trial, I decide not to reveal that piece of personal information.

I want a one-on-one with him like I’m any other law student, especially when we go out to celebrate after class.

But the one-on-one ends with us in the alley behind the bar.

With us stripping off our clothes.

With me screaming his name.

It’s desperate-to-have-you, no-holds-barred, downright filthy sex.

And then, he ghosts me, like a complete alphahole.

But a few weeks later, when I walk into The Dalton Group—my family’s law firm—where I’m starting my internship, my new boss is waiting for me.

The man I despise.

The man I can still taste in my fantasies.

Declan Shaw.

There are four stand-alone books in the Dalton Family Series:
The Lawyer
The Billionaire
The Single Dad
The Intern

Featuring ~ dual 1st person POV, lawyers, age gap, alphahole, billionaire, boss/employee, best friend's cousin, cousin's best friend, enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, office romance, one night stand, good amount of steamage

You don't need a lighter for your cigarette if you are around Declan & Hannah cuz their chemistry is full of flames.

Hannah is a delight. Super smart, super sweet and handled working with Declan with professional ease
Declan is an alphahole to the max and down right rude at times. But for every a$$holery thing he says and does he eventually becomes just as sweet as nutella brownies.

There are only a few scenes of the steamage nature, but they are long and descriptive and scorching ~ totally cold shower worthy.
I've listened to the first three books and read this one, but I have no doubt I'd be crossing my legs if I'd listened to this one.

Ford is still my favorite Dalton, but Hannah is a close second. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what Camden has to offer in the final book in this series ~ The Bachelor.

Okay, so this book was just not for me. There was 3 main reasons why it didn't work.

1. The hero and the heroine thought only about seggsual things with each other from the first page. And on EVERY SINGLE PAGE after that, one of them was making a comment about the others body. For me, that isn't erotic, it shows that there is nothing else between them.

2. The hero was cruel. I don't care if he was trying to push her away. They are in a work environment. A work environment where her FAMILY members work. He was demeaning to her behind her back and in her face. He let his lust for her make him cruel and petty. He just made my skin crawl by the end of it. And the AUDACITY for the heroine's cousin to even say to her that Declan is just being mean to push her away. And for that to make the heroine... excited... like we're on a freaking school playground? He was undermining her possible future by being cruel because his dick couldn't calm down. NO!

And finally, 3. When there was the big "reveal" in the 3rd act and they both come clean about some things... SHE IS THE ONE APOLOGIZING TO HIM? Hell to the damn NO!

I'm just speechless. I don't normally go off this much with a bad review for me but there was nothing romantic or erotic about this book for me. I was very disappointed.

- for the amount of times she “milked” his dingaling you would think a fairy would come in and turn him into a cow

- i never want to see the words “the virgin hole” in reference to an asshole ever again. im tramuatized and no amount of bleach can get rid of that

- he (the mmc) literally said, and i quote “I fuck anyone who’s over the age of eighteen and meets my criteria…” sir you are 32 and u wanna fuck someone with a fresh high school degree? mmm ok weirdo

- if my boyfriend ever said half the shit this man said to hannah i swear to god i would commit so many back to back felonies

- the smut is genuinely the worst - most cringe worthy bullshit ive ever read and thats saying a lot because ive read the love hypothesis

overall this was a terrible experience

When it comes to Marni Mann one thing is certain, you need to put your seatbelt on because it's going to be a fast ride! You are sure to experience a hot passionate contemporary romance with smart and witty characters and a truly deep story of loyalty, family, love, and The Intern is no exception!

Hannah Dalton is no stranger to Dalton Family Fans. Since the beginning of the series, we have all been desperately waiting for her to meet a man that would be worthy of her. Hannah is a law student who is working her way through law school in order to achieve a position at her family firm. Being a Dalton doesn't automatically ensure she will get to work in her family firm, Hannah must earn it!

However, when Hannah is finally granted the long-awaited "intern" position at her family firm, she could not be more excited, and yet when she opens the door to see the litigator that she will be shadowing she is mortified to discover that it is the one the only Declan. Not only is Declan a ruthless alpha full of power, but he also has already met Hannah. Although the family is completely unaware, Hannah and Declan have a complex history. Can Hannah and Declan rekindle the fire without causing conflict in the firm or will Declan be able to walk away from Hannah? Either way, they have to make it through this internship in order for Hannah to achieve her dreams. Declan and Hannah make the perfect scandalous office romance transform into a beautiful love story. With complex dynamics and smoking-hot passion, I simply could not get enough!

Overall, Marni Mann is a go-to author for me as I know I will be 100% engaged in the story. I have fallen in love with the Dalton family and I could not wait to read Hannah‘s story. GAH!!! YOU GUYS!! Marni Mann just delivered THE ALPHA OF THE YEAR in The Intern . Good Lord!! The spitfire banter, swoony connection and fiery passion between Hannah and Declan will completely make you a slave to her stories (if you're not already!!!) The Intern is an amazing addition to The Dalton Family series and I for one was obsessed with this outstanding story and the pure perfection of Hannah and Declan together!!!!

Ok Real Talk: Declan Shaw is without a doubt the HOTTEST, GROWLIEST, ALPHAHOLE your body didn't know it needed!!! When I say he is EVERYTHING - Trust Me!! He is next level amazing!! But ladies and Gents...get ready for Hannah Dalton. Together, she and Declan are COMBUSTIBLE! Hannah was strong and sexy and the PERFECT match to Declan's alpha male personality. She gave as good as she got and never hesitated to voice her feelings. I loved seeing them together and how well-matched they were!

Overall, I loved this story so much. Get ready to be SLAYED because Mann delivered one of the best stories I've read this year!!! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula ❤️

I need a fan on my face, my body and my fannyhoo.
I believe this book alone was responsible for the volcano that erupted in Hawaii recently. It knew Marni was creating another scandalously delicious Alpha man and it couldn't contain it's excitement.
Much like the readers who are in for a passionate treat wrapped in ooey gooey goodness of brownies.
Declan Shaw walks into the office and owns the Firm. He's hot, sexy, swoonworthy and a badass attitude follows him like a shadow. And his DNA has a way of spilling out on his desk, in the alley behind the club, his office, his couch, his conference table...everywhere cause in his mighty arms is his enticing Intern, Hannah Dalton.

“You do realize this will be the first time we’ve had sex in a bed. Table, office wall, window, chair, a desk. But never a bed.”

Yep, you read that right, she's baby Hannah of the Mighty Daltons, a cousin who Dominick, Ford & Jenner protect as their own sister.
She's earned her place in the firm and is working her tight Ass off.
Declan's world is in an upheaval cause he's a serial date, a one-and-done-night stands kinda person and Everly is frustratingly distraction personified.

"I had a reputation. Bachelor. Serial dater. Playboy. "

It's a scorching hot romance with orgasm after orgasm after earth shaking orgasm. Interspersed by Ass grabbing anals...TWICE!!
That alone deserves a star. Although I was teased that a Nutella filled brownie would be involved next time and was left high and crumbly dry.
So marni, where is the chocolate oozing derriere pounding??
Still it was the moistest of the Series.

I wanted to read Hanna's book since the last 3. And boy it was definately worth it. Hannah and Declan were full on hating/loving each other. I do admit, there were times when I hated Declan's attitude towards Hannah and I wished that she was spiting more fire over him. But she didn't. Even so, Marni Mann made Declan character like this. After his attitude, he was actually sorry about it. The good thing was that his behaviour was bad just at the beginning of the book.

I still loved the story. It was captivating and full of heat, smut, feelings and anger. Let's not talk about the heat between Declan and Hannah. It was literally everywhere. I was really happy that we got 2 points of view. As a reader I did manage to understand a lot of stuff and to see why he was pushing her away, but also that he was totally obsessed over her. She was cute, sexy and was fighting really hard for the things she wanted out of her life and career. And she was also fighting for Declan, even so that he didn't see it at first.

I still had lots of fun with this book and I do love the story ♥️♥️♥️.

Many authors when writing a series make the mistake of writing different story for the same character. What I mean by that is that we have the same asshole billionaire who talks dirty and doesn’t want to be in a relationship until he meets the heroine, the only difference is we have a single dad asshole billionaire or the bachelor asshole billionaire or the older asshole billionaire and so on.

This author doesn’t make that mistake from the two series I’ve read. In this series, all of them are playboys billionaires but they speak differently, they fuck differently, they feel differently. We don’t have the same sex scene over and over again and I didn’t feel like I was having deja vu.

With that being said, The intern is really problematic in a series of great books. Hannah is a rich white law student that meets Declan, a very famous lawyer, when he is mentoring her class on a mock trial. They become attracted to each other because there is a professional admiration and respect for one another: he is blown away with her intelligence and she understands first hand why he never loses in the courtroom. And I totally understand that because when you see someone so good in what they do, it’s like an aphrodisiac, the lust it’s powerful. So, they have a one night stand that is written to a point of perfection.

But then, he treats her like a whore every opportunity. Without any reason to that - since their relationship is only based on this lust - she hints that she wants more, like she wants to continue to hook up hoping that they can date after only one night.

Their relationship is as profound as a plate so I don’t understand why she is so invested. Then, she becomes his intern in her family law firm and their relationship is a shit show. He doesn’t know how to act professional and how to control his attraction, so he treats her like no one should be treated in their workplace, he asks his bosses (that are her cousins) to replace her every single week, at the same time he is fucking her in the office.

And worst than that: the white privilege this girl has makes everything so much worse. She is a intern, didn’t even graduate from law school and is sitting in meetings with important clients and answering their questions and her reason for that is because Declan must trust her 😤😤😤 Girl, he doesn’t trust you. He is fucking you every chance he thinks you are worth the time and you are his bosses’s cousins!!!! And by the way, your cousin asked him for you to be in the meetings so….

It made me furious that after she graduated law school and got a job at the best firm in California, she acted like it wasn’t because of her last name but because she worked her ass off… please, you know how many people works their asses off???? You know what they don’t have? A last name, connections, a sexual relationship with their boss and they are not white.

And it blows my mind how she wasn’t bothered at all by the fact that she was dating her boss, a guy who in two years would become partner at the law firm she was going to work AND the partners there were all her cousins. I mean, she wasn’t bothered by the fact that this would definitely effect her career as lawyer. Like, he was supposed to mentor her in this internship, so in my mind her success is directly linked to her connections and the private lessons Declan can give her but apparently she has zero problem with that.

Also, SPOILER ALERT!!!!!

They have a fight because on her first day at her internship she acted like she didn’t remembered their one night stand. Later on, he says the guilt of taking advantage of a drunk woman was eating him up so he came clean. But in a plot twist HE is the one mad because she lied to him and made him believe he did something wrong for six month. WHAT THE FUCK???? If he knows that being with a woman drunk enough not to consent is wrong and wants to make sure that she is all right why he wasn’t the one to come clean on that day???
She lied to protect their professional relationship, if they were going to be boss and intern there is no need to go like “oh remember when you fucked me against a wall on a alley?”””. But why was okay for Declan to say nothing when he realized she didn’t remembered?

And more than that: why are we wasting time with this? He felt guilt and came clean and realized he didn’t need to feel guilty in the first place because she always knew, so everyone is okay, let’s not make this something that isn’t!

Another thing that really bothered me was that Declan treated her like a slut for half the book and the second half he did the bare minimum and she was like “oh Declan, I can’t believe you did this for me”. Girl, he just took you to a restaurant, that is the LEAST he can do as a boyfriend!! What the hell is wrong with you?

So, I think I’m being generous with my rate and that’s because there is great sex scenes here. But honestly, what is the point of writing a female with a career that is not a flower shop owner when she is completely ignorant about her privileges ?? And a male character who treats woman like a whore? When he told her she wouldn’t get his mouth on her mouth because she wasn’t worth it and she still had sex with him I almost died!

What a shit show.

Office Romance Perfection 👌🏽

As Declan watched her in her element, he knew he had to have her. She had drive, confidence and her intelligence was sexy AF.
Declan Shaw is one of the state's top Litigators who knows what he wants, and he wants Hannah. After one night, Declan wasn't expecting to fall soo hard for her and he certainly wasn't expecting her to turn up to his office a few weeks later as his Intern.

This book has:
➡️ dual POV
➡️ enemies to lovers
➡️ age gap (she's around 24 and he's 32)
➡️ boss/employee relationship
➡️ insta lust
➡️ an oral king 🤭 (IYKYK)

Declan is an alpha in every sense of the word and Hannah gave it just as good. The tension build up between them was expertly done before Mann hit you with those epic spicy scenes that are atleast a chapter long 🥵

Watching a playboy suddenly having to navigate feelings he's never felt before, is always going to be my favourite thing to read.
This is book is set in the Dalton Brothers universe, so you get to see faves Dom, Jenner and Ford.

I kinda wish I worked back in an office now 😏

When Declan Shaw, hotshot litigator known for his player ways, and his intern Hannah Dalton (who also happens to be the boss’ cousin) are forced to work together, sparks ignite. From the boardroom to the bedroom, these two cannot get enough, but for how long?

I am pretty sure this is the steamiest book I have ever read, topping Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas which had been top tier. I definitely blushed quite a bit while reading this. While a lot of erotica feels forced to me and a bit cringey, Marni Mann did an excellent job at creating open door scenes that felt natural (dirty mind you) but natural and not forced or awkward.

I binged this in just a couple of hours on audio and definitely enjoyed seeing the progression of not only the MCs relationship, but the growth shown by Declan as he navigates his first significant relationship. My only criticism is that I wish there had been a bit more character development to help me connect emotionally to these characters but I know that new adult/erotica tends to be more plot heavy.

I do a mix of audio/reading and I will say I think the narrates did a great job bringing all the steam in a way that didn’t feel forced. If you are an audiobook lover, I think audio is the way to go.

Read if you like:
•enemies to lovers
•workplace romance
•forced proximity
•slight forbidden love
•alpha male
•erotica

Thank you to Valentine PR for sending me the physical copy and to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

REVIEW: 3 STARS
"I wanted Hannah Dalton to be mine."

The long anticipated book in Marni Mann's Dalton Family series and boy was I excited to start this one!!!! I can definitively say this is my second favorite series of hers, because I am loving this legal side of it because it's allowing the story to grow for all the characters she's writing. And yes, The Bachelor is next and I am ridiculously excited for Camden's story because I have an inkling of who "she" might be...

One thing I know, Marni Mann has repeatedly given me character and story depth with a heavy hitting love affair of the heart. I've never, ever questioned her ability to pull me in and spoon-feed me a love that has me drooling over their journey. It wasn't until this one that I have struggled with those very pieces that I love about her writing. While this one gave me the perfect storm of anger and lust, it lacked in depth and relationship development for me - that cohesiveness I look forward to reading with each of her books. BUT - thankfully, not to the point that I was unable to enjoy this story because, for the most part, I did. It was a good book.

"His gaze wasn't a normal stare. It was power. Pleasure."

Declan is the definition of a very cocky, very sexy lawyer who knows his stuff. He's strong in the courtroom and that carries out into his personal life in many aspects - whether it's mentoring college students....or some more "private affairs." I love a cocky Hero. They're one of my favorite kinds of men to read because a man buckling for his woman is the best thing to witness and Declan was going to fall hard. I just knew this from deep within. Sadly, it was the journey from point A to B that I got lost somewhere. Even though I found my way and it was an enjoyable read, it missed the heartfelt punch I have to come to expect from Mann.

I struggled mostly with the anger and vitriol from Declan - more than I thought I would. I feel it's mostly due to how strong and smart Hannah was portrayed, so seeing her undeservedly belittled and talked so negatively to and about made me justifiably angry for her. It also inhibited my understanding of her allowing Declan back in each time he did something because I didn't really see a reason for this or feel it through the writing. I just missed out on that soft spot this time, even though I knew the reason *why* he was being the way he was. It just didn't flow with how it was all hitting.

Because it was hitting - all those spots in the bedroom. They were on fire when it came to chemistry and their infatuation with each other. They always came together in a fiery, lust-filled explosion and there was no denying their draw to one another. But I feel like that was the only strength of these characters that worked so well. I just feel like I wanted, or needed... more.

The breakdown of the story felt rather hasty....almost rushed in some aspects. Not all of it, but the pressure, the tension - the angst I crave in these kinds of stories was missing for me and plenty was just glossed over. I also feel like the chapter endings were sometimes abrupt with no follow up at the beginning of the next one. I understand a chapter cliffie so to speak - it keeps me turning the pages to find out more, but I look for some follow up on some happenings and felt like that was missing. The actual depth was lacking for me which isn't the norm with Mann's books. I can appreciate her easy style of writing, but the tension and growth born of the characters' turmoil is what I didn't get here. I absolutely love that aspect with these kinds of heavy-handed books and missed it immensely with this one.

HOWEVER, ultimately, none of these issues stopped me from enjoying this story. Overall, this was one that I read rather quickly and still smiled at the end. A positive experience - just not my favorite experience. I keep saying it, but I love that Mann keeps incorporating her foodie addiction with her characters' storylines whether it be their love of desserts or their willingness to bake and enjoy/share the love. I love that smile each and every time.

I recommend this book for anyone that needs an easy read without a lot of angst but wants some drama to wade through.

"Tell me you want me, Hannah."

The Intern was my first read from this author and I kind of knew what to expect going in, so for what this was…I enjoyed it enough?! I don’t think I’ve discovered a new favorite author or anything, but like for what this was, it was fine.

Basically this is a office/workplace, contemporary romance between Hannah and Declan. She’s a law student and he’s the top litigator in the state and becomes her sort of mentor when she’s interning. They actually hit it off before she becomes an intern when she’s in law school and he comes in to mentor a mock trial in her class. They end up hooking up pretty quickly into the story and then later have to work together! There is also another added layer to their situation, she’s a Dalton which means her uncle owns the law firm he works for and that she’s interning at. So not only is he now her boss/mentor, he’s also friends with her cousin (who is also a partner at the firm)! This hero is a major possessive alphahole, so I can definitely see people having issues with him if that isn’t your jam. I liked him a lot more in the last quarter of the book! 😅

Sexy, demanding, lawyer boss is unbearable and mean because all he wants is to be down his interns pants again.... this book was a lot of steam with a little bit of character development (and I'm not complaining)

I feel like this book was very predictable and had a good story, and sometimes, that's all you want in these types of steamy romances romances.

This book was so disgustingly misogynistic. And sexist and toxic and all things problematic.

They slept together and he ends up being her new mentor for her internship. WHAT DOES THIS IDIOTIC PRICK DO? Talk shit about her every chance he got because he was still attracted to her. In front of her cousins (their bosses) and even her twin brother. Who all didn’t say anything :)
Ah, well, sorry: One of her cousins said that she is the smartest woman he knows. WOMAN. Not person. Because in this book woman are inferior to man in every way and should only live to service them :)

In case you haven’t noticed yet: I’m fuming rn.

Sadly, I’m not done yet and since I want everyone to stay the fuck away from this god awful book:
- he openly shit talks her at work and she still wants him, even let’s him have sex with her
- he still tries to make her seem like she sucks at her job after that and she goes back for a second round because she thinks she’s different and he know that the first time they met
- she finds something he needs to win his case and when her achievement is pointed out to him by his boss he doesn’t accept it and says he did the work in the court room and that it is his win
- when they finally do get together he wants anal, fully aware she’s never tried it before. They only have spit, no lube, NOTHING, but he still goes for it, going so far to say “I know you have your reservations about this, but I can’t say this enough: you have to trust me” (what trust??? He’s been sabotaging her at work for months!)

That’s just the mmc.
Here’s a quote from Ford (cousin/friend of the fmc):
"There are 2 reasons why a guy would act that way.
One: He doesn't want anyone to know how he's really feeling, so that's his way of masking his emotions.
Two: He has zero respect for women in general and that's his true personality.”

Could we please leave this toxic shit in the past and stop telling women that men being mean to them means they like them?! Also: If his behavior is so bad that one of the choices is that he has zero respect for women – RUN.

This book also contains a lot of alpha male talk and stuff like that, so be warned (and stay away in general, this is goddamn train wreck)

A one-night stand turns into a workplace forbidden romance when hotshot lawyer Declan becomes mentor to the rising star intern, Hannah. Super steamy with all the best Suits vibes! This was great on audio and definitely R-rated!! If you love alpha males and spicy reads this one doesn't disappoint! Great on audio narrated by Savannah Peachwood & Lee Samuels. Love this author and the other books in this series, as well as all of the interconnected characters and the general storyline. But what I did not care for was the hero of the Intern. I thought Declan had an inflated ego and was a condescending, disrespectful, and selfish man. I did admire the heroine, especially her ambition and smarts.

Hannah Dalton was loyal to her family, thoughtful to others, down to earth, and so eager to learn from Declan; I only wish she had to strength and self respect to resist him. Sure he was sexy and their chemistry was magna lava hot, but I felt she was really just infatuated with him and his status and deserved much better.

He did come around in the later part of the book, and she often did stand up for herself which I admired, but it was a little too late for me. He spent half the book letting everyone know how great he was and how fortunate they were to even know him. Who cares if you're a top attorney…it's your character and how you treat and value people from all walks of life that counts. I love a growly grump, I truly do, but not a jerk.

Declan Shaw and Hannah Dalton scorch the pages of this latest book in The Dalton Family Series. This is erotic romance at the hottest level! Whew.

I devoured this book from beginning to end. Declan is known as the top litigator in the State. He’s ruthless and dominating in and out of the courtroom. He doesn’t do relationships. Then while mentoring a group of law students, he meets Hannah Dalton and he’s enthralled. He wants her. She wants him. They have one passionate encounter and then - nothing.

A couple of weeks later, much to Hannah’s shock, Declan is now working at The Dalton Group, he’s her new boss and to make matters worse, Dominick Dalton, a long time friend of Declan’s and Hannah’s cousin, is Declan’s boss! Declan had no idea who Hannah was when they met, and now he’s angry at himself, angry at Hannah while also feeling guilty as hell for that one night. So what does he do? He panics and treats her terribly as his intern.

This is book #4 in The Dalton Family series and I love that the Dalton main character in this particular story is a woman. A woman who wants to be a litigator. And she wants to get a chance to work at the family law firm on her own merits. Not by using her last name. Hannah is a bad ass. She doesn’t let Declan intimidate her even when he’s so rude and obnoxious to her. She’s younger than him, but she’s smart and a fighter and Declan can’t help but be impressed with her. He realizes immediately she will be a terrific litigator in the courtroom and a challenge to him in every way. He also realizes he can’t stop wanting her.

Declan has no idea how to navigate a relationship with the young cousin of his long time friend who’s now his boss. Such a complicated mess, but you can’t help but swoon for Declan Shaw and smile at his struggles of the heart.

Each of these books in this series are stand alones but in this book particularly, the Dalton brothers are included a lot. Besides Declan’s new boss Dominick (The Lawyer - book #1), we get Jenner (The Billionaire - book #2) and Ford (The Single Dad - book 3) who are mentioned in some significant story in this book. I say this to encourage everyone to read the previous 3 books. You won’t be disappointed. The Dalton brothers, like Declan Shaw, are hot, ruthless, erotic men who meet women who unexpectedly capture their hearts.

This is probably my very favorite Dalton Family book. Yes, I say that every time. #sorrynotsorry. I love this series with my whole heart.

Enemies to lovers, Forced proximity, Age gap, Forbidden (🔥🔥), One time turned more, Boss and employee….add all of that together and you get one steamy workplace romance 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

This was actually my first book by this author, and while this is part of a series I didn’t feel like I was lost by not having read the others.

When Hannah, our female main character, goes to work as an intern at her family’s law firm, she is shocked to see that her mentor is Declan, a man she spent one night with and then he ghosted her. She is smart and sweet, while also having a backbone. Meanwhile Declan, is one hundred percent a hot, conceited, alpha male, and I loved watching Hannah tell him off, although I think she definitely let him off a bit too easy, but that’s just me. I love a good cocky male lead in a workplace romance but Declan was a tad too much for me at times. Regardless, I still loved seeing him go from “I don’t settle down” mentality to “I am weak for this woman.”

I definitely am going to go back and read the rest of this series.

Thank you to the author and Valentine PR for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ❤️‍🔥

I devoured this book in one sitting like it was the last Nutella cupcake. When it comes to Marni’s books, once I start reading there’s no stopping until I’ve reached the end, it’s just the way it is.

This book was so freaking good. Right from the start I was hooked especially addicted to Hannah and Declan. Dear lord from their first encounter it was game over, it was so clear how completely ravenous they were for each other and that connection they formed wasn’t going to end for anything.

Hannah was a fantastic heroine. She’s level headed and goal oriented. She’s worked hard to get herself closer to becoming a litigator, which is her dream. She has amazing drive and it shows in everything she does. I loved how determined and fierce she was, an all-around spitfire.

Marni writes male leads that make me ravenous and delirious. The way they’re dominant alphas make me weak in the knees and the way they’re feral for the woman they love, stick a fork in me I’m done. There’s just something about the fact that these in control men become a weak mess when it comes to their woman and I. Am. Here. For. It. Declan Shaw is no exception, that man had no idea what he was in for when it came to Hannah. I loved his alpha side but man his sweet side had me sighing just as much. Hook, line and sinker he was a goner for Hannah.

Hannah and Declan were straight up fire, scorching. Seriously I felt the heat of flames every time they were together. They were the perfect match, they complimented one another so seamlessly. I loved their banter and the fact that Hannah wasn’t afraid to go toe-to-toe against Declan. The connection they shared was just amazing, and they made the perfect team.

The Intern was yet another exceptional addition to The Dalton Family Series. I sound like a broken record but honestly every book in the series just gets better and exceeds the previous. Just when I think I know who my favorites are Marni goes and makes me want to change my mind. What I do know for a fact is that this series has become a top favorite. Do yourself a favor a READ THIS SERIES, you won’t be disappointed.

ARC Review

I expected this book to be so good and with a beautiful story, but I was wrong. I’ve never felt so disgusted while reading male POV.
The Intern is a story about a college law student who had a one-night-stand with a very handsome and possessive man, but their night didn’t end well. Some time later their paths cross again, Hannah will be his intern. Of course both of them don’t want to work together but they have to.

You have no idea how excited I was for this story. I love stories where they have to work together and they hate each other, but this one just disappointed me in so many ways. The book just started and the hero already thinking with his lower parts the moment he saw Hannah. He literally thought of her as an object he can get into, it made me so disgusted that I really wanted to DNF the book after the 1st chapter, but I received is as an ARC and I usually give books a chance. Unfortunately with this one the further I got, the more frustrated I felt.
The romance part of the story for me had no depth. It was just pure sex with close to none storyline in the aspect of developing the characters’ relationship. Although later on Declan started to be better, he still was an asshole in my opinion and I just hated him.
The kinda law part of the story for me was quite interesting and it’s the only thing that made me not give this book a one star.
It was such a disappointment for me.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Marni Mann hits new highs with every story she writes. The Intern packs a sexy wallop that's balanced by an amazing story. Declan and Hannah show such growth. It was nice to see an alphahole change without causing too much trauma and damage while he evolved. I honestly think it's the hottest one of Marni's books of late, possibly the entire series! Each book makes me happier than the last, and honestly I think the The Intern might be my favorite of her contemporary erotic romances. The story is intense, fast paced, and will leave you gasping for more...Declan & Hannah that is!
