Hello connections, I'm thrilled to share with you all that I've recently ventured into the world of content creation, a passion I've nurtured while balancing the demands of corporate life. This journey has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, but each experience has been invaluable in shaping my perspective and skills. For years, I've been entrenched in the corporate world, navigating deadlines, meetings, and projects. While fulfilling, I felt a longing for something more creative, something that would push me out of my comfort zone and ignite a new sense of purpose. That's when I decided to delve into content creation, particularly video-making. Transitioning from a structured corporate environment to the dynamic realm of content creation hasn't been easy. I've faced challenges, encountered learning curves, and experienced moments of self-doubt. However, through perseverance and dedication, I've been able to steadily progress and hone my craft. One of the most rewarding aspects of this journey has been finding a balance between my professional commitments and my newfound passion. Balancing work life and content creation has taught me valuable time management skills and the importance of prioritization. Every day presents its own set of challenges, but I've learned to embrace them as opportunities for growth. Whether it's learning a new editing technique, refining my storytelling skills, or overcoming creative blocks, each challenge has propelled me forward. More than just a hobby, content creation has become a source of motivation and inspiration for me. It's a constant reminder to push boundaries, explore new possibilities, and strive for excellence in everything I do. It has taught me to see setbacks as stepping stones and to approach each day with enthusiasm and determination. Why is it so hard to accept praise sometimes? I was speaking with a friend yesterday and when he praised me for my wide skillset, I felt the need to say "Please, me that is still learning". Sometimes you're so busy working hard and learning that it takes comments from an outsider to make you realize how well you've done. What you've learned or what you know know may be regular to you but extraordinary to someone else so don't feel the need to tone down your accomplishments when complimented. I encourage you to accept and own the fact that you're a bigger deal than you think. Accept your flowers; you've earned them. In line with accepting flowers, I accept that I'm a budding force in the tech industry. Whether through designing user interfaces, crafting user experiences that solve pain points, tactfully deciphering business needs, or spinning words into conversion gold, I'm always ready to bring creativity, insight, and a touch of magic to any project. #day14of50daysofwriting #50daysofwritingwithpeculiar #mondaymotivation #tech

It's really tough! From guiding, directing, assisting, and encouraging others to behave confidently and speak smoothly might seem so easy for the audience. Well, that's the glamorous part my job role allows me to do. I research on new concepts, watching countless videos, scripting, visualizing, and executing—all of that, and the work didn't stop there. Editing and checking before hitting that publish button was still on my to-do list. I'm sharing this piece of my journey to encourage you to take action in your own career. Instead of endlessly scrolling and consuming content, why not start creating your own? It might not be perfect on the first attempt, but with consistent effort, you'll gradually gain momentum and build the interest you've always desired. Just post it, don’t give a room to self rejection. So, let's stop just consuming and start creating—your journey awaits! How do you find career clarity? In other words, how do you know when something is meant for you? Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of chatting with Torrey Podmajersky (yes, I’m still geeking out). I asked her these very questions. With her extensive background as a UX content leader and author, she seemed like someone who had things figured out. Someone who could give life-changing advice to a Gen Z content designer like me. I couldn't wait to hear her polished answer. Instead, her eyes widened. Caught off guard by my question.  She then smiled and said, “I don’t know. I don’t know when something is the best thing for me… But I know it’s the best thing to TRY.” We spent the rest of our time chatting about our pivots from education to UX, my career goals, and the importance of work-life balance (even when job hunting!). So many great reminders she gave me on these topics. But the one thing that stood out to me the most was her self-honesty. She gave herself permission to say she didn’t have it figured out. No one really knows what’s going to happen. And that’s okay. What matters is that we try. Or tried. What a refreshing reminder—one I definitely needed to hear in my own life. Whether you’re in the middle of a job search, trying something different at work, or picking up a new hobby, know it’s okay to be imperfect. You’re showing up for yourself, and that’s something to be proud of. Keep going, friend.
