Adventure Begins at the Library T-Shirt Contest (Gr. 6-12)

Submit your logo ideas to Teen Advisory Board's "ADVENTURE BEGINS AT THE LIBRARY" Summer Reading T-Shirt Contest and see YOUR design on a shirt!

                                                                  CONTEST RULES

1) Open to West Hartford students in grades 6-12.

2) All artwork must be original to the artist and not resemble any existing copyrighted or published work.

3) The winning logo will be used on t-shirts to publicize the 2024 "Adventure Begins at the Library" Summer Reading Program theme. 

4) Logo design must be black and white and relatively simple in design so that it reproduces clearly.

5) Logos can be hand-drawn or graphically designed.

6) Logos must be in .ai, .eps, .jpeg, .pdf, .png, or .tiff format and be 300dpi at print size.

7) Students may submit up to 3 design ideas for judging.

8) The West Hartford Public Library will be granted copyright permission by the contest winner to use their logo for its publicity materials and consent to edit or resize the logo as needed. 

9) Logo submissions must be emailed to kkarp@westhartfordCT.gov no later than 11:59pm on Friday May 10, 2024. Please include your name, grade, and school in the email.

10) Logos will be judged anonymously and one winner will be selected by members of the 2023-2024 Teen Advisory Board. The winner will be announced no later than May 31, 2024.

                                                                 CONTEST PRIZES

• 1st Place: Winner will receive a free shirt with their design and a limited number of shirts with their design will be given out as summer reading incentive prizes.
• 2nd & 3rd Place: Winners will receive their choice of a shirt or canvas bag with their design.
