I recently reviewed Shinnoire‘s custome iPhone Leather Flip Case.  I had a lot of fun selecting my personal color choices for the case.  It’s not often you get to pick and choose the exact colors which will go into your case and then have it personally hand crafted.

Shinnorie offers the same level of customization for their bags as well and I was also allowed to custom build a laptop bag for review.

The bag I had built is their Skinny Slim Bag.  It’s a slim bag good for short trips, daily commutes to and from work or meetings.  The bag is built from a stain resistant nylon covered EVA hard shell and is generously padded with foam lining.

Just as with the iPhone case the first step in the customization process begins on the Shinnorie web site.

I first selected the overall color for my bag.  I picked Tech Sliver.

Step two is to choose the color for the leather emblem on the front of the bag.  In my case I choose black.

Then the accent color.  I choose orange.

I also chose orange for the lining color.

And finally the size.  You and choose from 13″ or 15″.

My custom built bag arrived in about two weeks protected in a fabric bag.

The Tech Silver nylon material has a comfortable feeling.

The front inside pocket includes several smaller pockets for storing gear.  There is also room enough to store your power cord or perhaps a back up battery.

The main part of the bag features a strap closure system to secure your laptop.

The back of the bag includes a slim, zippered pocket which is highlighted with the orange color I selected.  The pocket is perfect for small papers or files.

I used a 15″ Dell laptop to test the bag.  The fit was nice and tight.  No room for the laptop to slide around inside.

The bag uses a unique tabbed strap so secure the laptop inside.

The inside of the bag features a room pocket for carrying more files, papers etc.

The bag comes with a heavy duty, dual layered nylon shoulder strap that’s fully adjustable.

The strap features swiveling, gunmetal metallic hardware.

And the zippers (which there are two of) have pull tabs which aid in using them.

The Shinnorie Skinny Slim Bag is a fully customizable bag that’s perfect for toting around a small amount of gear to quick meetings, to and from work or school.  Its slim size allows you access to just your essentials and keeps a sleek profile which your back will appreciate.  The bag has a modern look which makes it look very unique.  I appreciate the fact that it doesn’t look like every other plain black laptop bag on the market.

M.S.R.P. – $159

What I like – fully customizable, hand built bag, slim.

What I don’t like – tight fit for thick laptops.
