Adam Russell, AI/nthropologist and Director of the AI Division at the USC Information Sciences Institute (ISI), is on a journey to help build a better world with AI. He interviews the ISI humans behind AI to understand what motivates them, how they shape AI today, and where they hope AI will go.

Negar Mokhberian, a research assistant at ISI, discusses why AI should be able to say what it doesn’t know. She explains the importance of understanding subjectivity when working with AI and how acknowledging different perspectives can help address bias. She shares a career path she might’ve taken if it wasn’t for AI and how a love for nature would’ve led her there. She explores the worries she has for the future of software engineering and front-end development jobs based on the growing capabilities of AI.
