Why we wanted him to speak: We met Ted when he ran a workshop for out Silicon Valley comes to Cambridge CEO Workshops last year. He takes a lot of those new-fangled Californian social media concepts and turns them into actionable ideas for real businesses. He really understands marketing. He is an awesome facilitator.

Background

Ted Shelton is currently CEO of Open-First. He has spent the past 20 years working in the high tech industry, as a software developer, in product development, marketing, and as a senior executive in both public and privately held companies. Prior to Open-First Shelton co-founded The Conversation Group.  He also developed a new participatory media platform called The Personal Bee, which was acquired by Technorati in early 2007.  Previous roles include Chief Strategy Officer of Borland Software and Senior VP of Sales and Marketing for WhoWhere (acquired by Lycos).
