Elaborate traffic arrangements have been made to ensure maximum security on Saturday when the new state assembly complex will be inaugurated.

CHENNAI: Elaborate traffic arrangements have been made to ensure maximum security on Saturday when the new state assembly complex will be inaugurated. Only vehicles with red and yellow passes will be allowed between Labour Statue and Wallajah Road. Those with light red and blue passes will be allowed through Swamy Sivananda Salai from Kamarajar Road junction to Periyar Road.
Vehicles going from Napier Bridge to Anna Salai on Kamarajar Road should take a diversion at the Kannagi Statue and proceed via Bharati Salai, Clock Tower, General Patters Road and enter Anna Salai at Wellington junction.

Vehicles going to Parrys from Anna Salai should take a diversion at the Spencer junction and proceed via Binny Road, Marshals Road, Adithanar Statue, Gandhi Irwin Road and EVR Salai.
Those going from Muthusamy Bridge to Anna Salai should take EVR Salai-Irwin Corner junction and Dr Nair Road junction and turn left from Ega theatre junction to take Dr Gurusamy Bridge, Sterling Road junction, College Road, Haddows Road, Nungambakkam High Road, Anna Bridge rotary.
Vehicles from Chennai Central on Poonamalle High Road can't turn left at Gandhi Irwin Corner, Dr Nair Road junction and Gangu Reddy Subway. Vehicular traffic between Spencer junction and Pallavan Road on Anna Sali will be completely blocked.
Vehicles from Chengalpet on GST Road should take a diversion near Crescent College and proceed via Kelambakkam, Kovalam, East Coast Road, Tiruvanmiyur signal, Adyar Bridge, Greenways Road, South River Bank Road, Santhome High Road, Light House, Kamarajar Salai. Vehicles from Tiruvallur on GNT Road should take Erukkanchery High Road, Basin Bridge Road, Moolakothalam, Waltax Road, EVR Salai, MMC Junction, Muthusamy Junction, Wallajah Junction, War Memorial and Napier Bridge.
