Swine Flu threat still lives

swinefluSwine Flu threat continues to persist. And against the general perception that the pandemic is over, the H1N1 virus is till taking lives.

As per the data given by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDS), as many as 80 million Americans have already been infected with the virus across America. 11,000 people have already been killed and there are fears that the numbers are going to increase. Till last week nine more children died because of the diseases taking the toll to 1,000.

And since the young children, with less than 14 years of age, are most vulnerable, there is a growing fear among the experts that more children are going to be affected. Out of the total 28,461 people who were infected with the virus in Missourie, from where the whole issue started, 66 per cent were children.

CDC report says that the school-age children will be most affected lot.

The vaccine for the infection is readily available and till now 65 million Americans have already received it.
