Apple world abuzz after CEO answers customer queries

At least a dozen Apple customers have been stunned to find themselves the recipients of emails from Steve Jobs himself over the last few weeks. The ultra-succinct replies (ranging from "no" to "yep" to "Software fix coming soon. Sorry for the bug.") sent by the Apple boss in response to queries emailed to sjobs@apple.com have been widely circulated amongst thrilled Apple fans. "I am never cleaning my in-box again," one recipient said.

While Jobs had been known to reply to the occasional email before he went on medical leave, he seems to have picked up the pace, notes the New York Times. And fans are going wild. A Swedish music producer says he was amazed at the buzz that ensued after forwarding a Jobs email to an Apple news blog. "Almost every Mac Web site had picked it up. We had more visits to my website in 12 hours than we had all year. It was crazy.” The pearl of wisdom? Jobs had emailed "No" in response to being asked whether the iPhone could share a data connection with the iPad.
