My husband and I visited for brunch on a Saturday and we honestly had a wonderful time!
We started with biscuits that I thought would be super dry but they were perfection! I think the butter they brought with it was a honey butter, I can't remember, but it was so good with it. We were offered different toppings and I chose lemon curd and I'm so glad I did. The lemon curd elevated a snack into a DISH! It was wonderful and our waitress told us they make the lemon curd in-house. (Made me appreciate it all the more.)
My husband and I both got coffee which was pressed and left at our table. Loved. That. It was smooth and we both enjoyed it. Loved that we didn't have to wait for refills either. (To be fair our waitress was amazing about refilling our waters - it was always full thanks to her.) For our first course we both chose the southerner. The fried green tomatoes were very flavorless but the deviled eggs packed a punch. They were oddly sweet though. I feel like we could've ordered something better but it was all fine!
Second course I got the seared salmon and it was exactly what I wanted and was delicious!!! Crispy on the outside and soft and perfect inside. Flavor was great. My husband got the skirt steak and the gnocchi. His steak was DELICIOUS and flavorful but the gnocchi just fell flat and felt like nothing more than a filler. My husband said I won the ordering that round!
And for the final course they brought out a dessert tower. The cheesecake was wonderful, the banana walnut cake surprised me by being delicious, but the chocolate shooters were a let down with not a whole lot of flavor.
Overall, our experience was great! We love trying new things and don't mind paying a "premium" to adventure out of our comfort zone. This experience was worth the gamble, in my opinion. This meal wasn't super cheap but in addition to your meal you get the atmosphere of the historic Peabody. Could they lower the price for the offerings? Probably could. But thanks to our super great waitress & great kitchen staff we had a fun time. To me, this brunch is worth checking out! Especially if you're staying at the Peabody!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Regue C.Denison, TX0243May 15, 2024
Decided to eat inside The Peabody Hotel since we were there for just one night. The higher end restaurant wasn't open so we had dinner here. The service was good. Our waiter wasn't super experienced but he was attentive. We order the caprese salad to start and it was tasteless. The special of the day was pasta with grouper. It was pretty good - large portions. The overall vibe is that you're at an Olive Garden. We sat at the main bar after dinner. Talked to a local who said there are much better options walking distance nearby. Now we know.

I went to brunch on a Saturday for a friend's birthday. The atmosphere is like a walk back in time (in a good way). I talked through the pristine lobby to get to the restaurant entrance. I enjoyed the self-playing piano on my way in.
The duck theme was tasteful. I had the coffee and matcha tea (both delicious). The biscuits came with an assortment of spreads.
For course one, I had the smoked salmon, which was good but would not be for those who do not like lightly cooked Salmon.
For course 2, I had the salmon as well. It was well seasoned.
I hardly had space for dessert! I chose the macaroons. They were good.
The service was pretty good, considering we had a large party. It's a great place for an intimate affair.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2065303644Jun 22, 2023Updated review

I reserved Table seating via OpenTable app for two at 11:30a Saturday- upon entering was greeted by front hostess and seated immediately following
The waitress was sweet her name was Jasmine- she inquired about beverages and if any appetizers were needed
I ordered the fried catfish with greens and black eyed peas- it came with hush puppies and tarter sauce
The entire meal was exactly how I remembered and I'm glad I came back to reorder one of my favorite dishes on their menu
I'm happy to say that all the food was seasoned properly- nothing was overly salty- the greens were so tasty :) I did add pepper sauce and vinegar to my greens
The fish was fired well and the batter was flavorful- I added squeezed lemon on the fish- it was 3 plated pieces of fried catfish
Applauding the chef that treated fish, the peas and greens with southern love- Keep up the great work

Out with my little one and I wasn't going to let the rain keep us from enjoying TGIF (of course Thank God it's Friday)
I went online to see what was available for a good ole hearty breakfast which lead me to Capriccio Grill located inside the historic Peabody Hotel in Downtown, Memphis Tennessee
Angela checked us in at the hostess stand and Mia waited on us - Great customer service ladies really a great job indeed!
Mia took my order which was a 3 egg omelette with spinach mushrooms and tomatoes. It was fresh, hot and Yummy!
Keep up the great work!! :)Feb 3, 2018Previous reviewFebruary 3, 2018

The service was very good - our waiter was attentive and personable. We ordered a bottle of wine, a pepperoni pizza, and an Insalata Salad. Our bill was almost $150, including tip. The bottle of wine was under $60 and was pretty good. Everything was just "good" and not "great," hence, 4 and not 5 stars in my review.
Though I am giving 4/5 stars, I am aware that we did not order any of the more expensive items on the menu. I'm sure the steak or other pricier entrees would have been amazing. Alas, we weren't super hungry and since we didn't have a fridge in our room, we didn't want to take anything expensive to go.
The pizza had wonderful crust, but in general, wasn't anything special. I've had better pizza at Dominos, but I wasn't disappointed in this pizza, it's just not what I would have expected from a fancier restaurant.
The salad was tasty, but again, wasn't anything special.
The attire was one thing that kind of disappointed me and is part of why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. Given the location, the hotel, and the classy atmosphere of the restaurant, I was surprised to see guests in very casual attire (t-shirts, leggings, flip-flops, shorts, etc). We arrived well-dressed. The waitstaff is dressed well, the tables are set well, the prices and most of the menu items suggest high class, and the general ambiance of the restaurant itself is classy and refined, however, given the free dress code for guests, it felt a bit like an overpriced Olive Garden.
I would like to return and give this restaurant another try to see what else the menu has to offer!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Asal N.Las Vegas, NV07624Nov 12, 2023
Fantastic experience all around! I especially loved the fresh coffee press! What a touch!!! The food was great. Our server, Abdoul, was friendly, professional and knew the menu well.
Frank Sinatra playing the background was so relaxing.
I highly recommend this spot for brunch in Memphis. The menu is reasonably priced for what you get!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael D.Mount Vernon, IL4136361Sep 4, 2023
Way over priced for the quality you get. Would never go back.
The pancakes were oily.
The chicken was bland.
I heard they used to have a better style brunch that went away during covid.
Now that the pandemic is over they should bring back the buffetHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Korie G.Fordville, ND167910Mar 21, 2024

We came for brunch and it was delicious. It is pricey, but you get a lot of food, so it's definitely worth it. The biscuits are flaky and buttery. The first course is extremely small portions: I ordered the salmon bagel and got one half bagel, and my mom got one single crab cake. Even though that course is small, the second course is hearty. My eggs Benedict was decent, nothing special, but my mom got the skirt steak with gnocchi and mushroom sauce and it was flavorful and decadent. The dessert course is big and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. And of course, you can't beat the setting of the classic Peabody.
