We decided to give you a break from the newsletter last month, as the news was mostly the same. But I feel the need to let you know how critical our need is this month (and so many months, it seems).
Right now our accounts are completely empty. We don't have the funds we need to take care of the children and our staff for October.
We need to raise at least $10,000 as soon as possible. This amount will cover 25 staff members' salaries, and will feed, provide medical care, and educate 250 very vulnerable children for a month. When looked at this way, it really does seem like an incredibly small amount of money for all it covers. One thing we've become experts at over the years is learning how to make a little bit go a long way. But still, each month, we struggle.
Please help us, as you always have, to meet this extremely urgent need, and to spread the word that we need more caring donors like yourselves. The photo above shows the sweet face of just one of the children your gift will be helping. And there are so many more...each with their own story of how they ended up needing our care, and each of them completely reliant on us survive.
