⭐️ 4.5 "Perfect Trio" Stars ⭐️
In complete honesty, the gorgeous cover of Among Ash and Ember is what caught my attention first. Then I read the blurb and it sounded really intriguing so I dived into this story with excitement. Deni René delivers a truly poignant story with a sexy undertone and uses an exquisite prose that got to me deeply. I’ll keep the plotline as vague as possible, because I don’t want to give too much of the intrigue away. It’s best to discover all the mystery behind our three main characters on your own.
"I’ll never try to break you, Kitten. I may try to tame you, tamper your heat, but I’ll never extinguish your fire. And you know why?... Because I love it when you burn me.”
Katerina Nielsen is crumbling under the pain of losing her whole family a couple years earlier. She’s trying to stay afloat, but her future isn’t as bright as it once was. When she meets Ash, it seems her life takes an optimistic turn. This enigmatic man is cold, but sexy and so imposing. His mouth is so dirty and appealing! I was easily enamoured by this intricate hero. If it wasn’t enough to get this sexy specimen of a man, his brother Ember is another fascinating character. He’s the the complete opposite of Ash, but he also shares a special connection with Katerina. Both brothers in their own ways brings something different but essential to Kat’s slow recovery from grief. Between mystery and secrets, we navigate between these three broken characters trying to heal.

Among Ash and Ember was a pleasant surprise! I was spellbound by the beautiful words, intense emotions and multi-faceted protagonists filling the pages of this story. I cried a lot, but my heart also leapt out of my chest from the hopeful feelings and powerful sexually charged scenes. I can only recommend this tear-jerker, yet powerfully beautiful novel!!!

After reading the blurb and I was hooked and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this story and once I began reading about Ember and Ash couldn’t get enough. When Kat’s story gets put into the mix emotions are all over the place. The way the story is told keeps you on your toes wondering what secrets are being held back, little by little it all unfolds and you can’t help but want to know more and see what path were taken down. I wasn’t expecting the turns and truths revealed over time but that’s exactly what makes a great book, the unexpected. Highly recommend and should be bumped to the top of your TBR list.

Oh this was not what I thought it was going to be...it was so much better and I loved it!! Katerina Nielsen’s world changed when she turned 16. She lost more than just her parents...she lost the life that she knew forever. Trying to make ends meets, Kat starts working as an escort. That’s where she meets the mysterious Ashton Addington. He isn’t who you think he. Neither is his brother Ember. When they offer her a chance at becoming the woman she wants to be, can she take them up on their offer? Can she trust these two strangers or is she going to get hurt when the secrets of the past come out? It wasn’t just chance meeting the Addington brothers in that bar but all their lives will change because of it. This book isn’t what you might think and there are so many surprises. I truly enjoyed reading this and trying to figure out all their secrets. All three have lost someone special to them. Will they be able to finally move on from the past and what they are hiding from each other? A beautiful story! Told in multiple POV

Among Ash and Ember by Dani Rene was nothing that I expected. It was extraordinary and so different that what I am used to by this author! So compelling, beautiful, and well-written with an emotional depth that is hard to find else where.
This is hands down Dani Rene’s best work to date!! This story had so much emotion, that it wrecked me in the best possible way! Rene always has a way with words and surprising me at every turn with what she publishes next! Among Ash and Ember is everything you want in romance AND more.
There’s secrets and a little underlining of mystery. There’s a beautiful, broken girl who’s just trying to find her footing. And there’s two broken brothers who are just trying to help heal and give her some footing.
There’s a raw and realness of emotional connection between these three, but let me tell you now, this is NOT a cheat story. It is so much more than that. There is a beautiful story unfolding with every single world, every single sentence, every single page, and every single chapter.
The closer you get to the truth, the more you learn about Ash and Ember. And the more you get to learn about Ash and Ember, you learn more about the past and their connection to Katerina. You learn how deeply rooted these three are and that’s just the surface of things.

Omg !What a great story we loved it from beginning to end. The story was tragic and intense and edgy and had a love story like no other.Secrets Secrets nothing but secrets.
We loved the characters of the story they were and electric bunch. Katerina aka Kitten was feisty and determined and sweet,kind and loving and take no crap kind of girl who wasn't afraid to speak her mind.
Ash was hard and dominate and a -hole most of the time but, accepted that part of himself and he was little bit broken and waded down by secrets.
The story was filled with drama and romance and a whole lot of sadness.One minute you were laughing the next you were crying.Ember we loved him he made us laugh and well as cried also he was the light to the darkness that was his twin Ash.

This book had me hypnotized, I was completely captivated with the story of Kat, Ember and Ash and I certainly LOVED how we got a glimpse through all three of their POV's.
I loved the surprises, the reveals and the secrets that they all had and how it all unraveled in the end.
I loved the interactions and how both Amber and Ash shared the same love for this girl who they felt the need to protect.
This book definitely reached my expectations.

This is one if those books that it's best to go in blind. The synopsis intrigued me and to be honest I wasn't sure what to expect. Kat Ash and Ember's story was overflowing with emotion. I loved the dynamics of their relationship it was intense and passionate.

Wow!!!! What a beautiful story I have just read. I loved this so much, the way this story was written was wonderfully flawless, the characters were simply amazing and the twist and turns had me on the edge of my seat.
I felt every emotion possible... I laughed out loud, I swooned out loud, I shouted out loud and I cried out loud.

Among Ash & Ember by Dani Rene this is the story of Katerina Nielsen, Ember, Ashton 'Ash' Addington. Katerina lost everything when she was 16 when a fire broke out and took everything from her. Katerina has done everything she could to stay alive, move forward and earn money to go to college. Ash meets Katerina at his hotel bar where he makes her a deal she couldn't turn down. Ember knows there is something about Katerina too and starts to understand what his brother did. When his brother Ember meets Katerina he too knows there is something there too. The brother's want to help Katerina but can she trust them?

Among Ash & Ember by Dani René is an intense, emotional, heartbreaking love story about two brothers and the girl that they BOTH love. Told in multiple POV’s, contrary to what it sounds like this story is NOT a love triangle. I went in thinking that it was going to be something along those lines, let me be the first to admit I have never been gladder to be wrong. Among Ashes and Embers was so much MORE than I ever could have expected.
“Pain will fray you. It will rip you to shreds. And love is the only thing that can put you back together.”At 16 years old, in the blink of an eye, a fire took everything from Katerina Nielsen. After her parent’s death, Kat is placed in the system until she ages out, two years later.
Now, lost, alone, and drowning in debt left to her by her parents, Kat knows she has to do what she has to do to keep a roof over her head and make ends meet. Kat has become a “companion” for wealthy men. Not quite going as far as some of the other girls she bunks with, she is more of arm candy for her clients. Kat is determined to only participate in this lifestyle for 12 months, long enough to save enough money so that she can pursue her dream to go to college.
Ashton Addington notices Kat from across the room of the hotel bar. He knows exactly what a girl like her is doing there so he approaches her and makes an offer that he knows she won’t be able to refuse. Sure enough, Kat follows him back to his hotel room.
But something is different. For Ash, it’s usually one night of bliss and then it’s over. So why is it that every time he thinks of never seeing this girl again he can barely rein in his anger? There is just something about Kat. Ash is determined to find a way to keep her in his life. But now he just has to convince his brother to go along with his plan.
Ember Addington knows his brother is taken with this girl. Ash went against Ember’s wish just to be with her… But once Ember meets Kat for himself, he can understand EXACTLY why this beautiful intriguing girl has such hold on his brother.

“How can two broken souls go through so much, yet find themselves again?”Gahhh what a beautiful story! The writing was flawless and poetic, the characters were amazing, and the secrets kept you right on the edge of your seat trying to figure out exactly WHAT they were all hiding. I laughed, I smiled, I swooned, I yelled, I cried, seriously I literally messaged Dani as soon as I finished just to yell at her for making me cry! But I would do it all over again. This is one of those stories that stays with you, and I know that it will stay with me for a while. Truly a BEAUTIFUL story.
Katerina, gahhh I LOVE Kat. She’s feisty, sassy, and even after the horrible hand of life she’s been dealt she still holds an air of innocence. She’s been through more than anyone her age should but yet still holds on to the hope of accomplishing her dreams, and is willing to do whatever it takes to make them realities.
“I’ve fallen. I’ve walked right into the inferno. And there’s no escape for me now.”Ash, is like a whirlwind. Because of all the secret burdens that were left to him he appears to be such an angry person but being around Kat gives him a sense of contentment that his life has been lacking and he’d go through hell and back for this brother.
“He’s bad and good all wrapped up in a perfect package, and I wonder if it unravels, what I’ll find inside.”Ember, ahh Ember, my love. The peacemaker, the matchmaker. Being an Empath Ember feels everything so much more then anyone else does. Ember is the soft to his brothers hard. I have the biggest crush on Ember and my heart is literally BREAKING, Dani René!
I loved watching the bond between the three of them as well as the bond between Kat and each brother. The love between each was SO different but still SO strong.
That ending… even though I just KNEW that there was something more going on… I just still wasn’t ready for THAT. Gahhh I’m not going to post spoilers but just be prepared!
Another thing, if you guys follow me you know I’m all about the sexy times lol, so I just wanted to mention, the first sex scene happens at about 84% in… BUT there IS a whole lot of heat and some steamy scenes early on but they just don’t go for the whole enchilada.
I’ve read ALMOST everything Dani René has released and this one, this one was a lot different than what she normally writes. The emotion, and the turmoil… I just can’t even explain it but trust me when I tell you, she pulled it off! Dani, she is such a brilliant and talented writer. She’s also one of the nicest authors I have ever met, well met as in stalked online lol, but still, you get the point! I absolutely devoured Among Ash & Ember and I can not wait to see what she comes up with next!
I HIGHLY recommend Among Ash & Ember.

He has carried so much weight on his shoulders and the unexpected awful turn made me cry so hard for him. He has literally given everything to Ash and planned for his happiness long in the future. Ash and Kat complement and elevate each other. Kat soothes the pain, hurt and guilt in Ash. And Ash makes her feel cherished, loved and protected. Ember has a special place in her heart for his kindness, calm confidence and selfless love. But this is a different story. The ending has wrecked my heart and even after mentally praying so much, Dani René decided to drag me through hell.

Wow. To be honest I'm not sure exactly what to say about this book. The characters, and the story they tell are so crazy good, it blew my mind. They are so flawed, but so real it hurts to read at times. The writing so beautiful, but so tragic it makes your heart bleed.
Katerina, or Kat as she's called by those closest to her, lost her parents when she was 16, and after that life got progressively hard for her. First in foster care then out of it. When Ash and Ember show up, and offer her a chance at a better life, she wants to take it, but she's become jaded to believe good things happen for no reason. Things always have an ulterior motive. She just has to find it.
"Love is strange. It creeps up on you, weaseling its way through the darkness, bathing you in light, giving you hope.
Pain is real. It has been the only thing I’ve known since I was sixteen, and I realized that it could so easily kill you if you let it."

Another remarkable work by the sensational author Dani René. While reading the book my emotions went haywire. There was a constant chaos inside me. With her rhythmic composition Dani has brought out the strongest of human emotions. The brilliancy of her work can be seen in the way she masterfully carves out these emotions.

Emotional Fallout...
My heart is overflowing with emotion after reading this exquisite story. Katerina, Ash and Ember each have tormented souls from events that happened in their lives and for which they are still suffering from. Katerina grieves from loss at a young age and takes a path that will hopefully reach her goals that she craves for. Along that path she meets Ash and Ember. Brothers who are totally opposite of each other but have qualities that Katerina is immediately drawn to. The brothers have emotional guilt and skeletons in their closets. When they see Katerina, they see hope for the first time in their lives. She has a light within in her that is intoxicating. She is so strong in spite of what she has experienced in her life.
Their story brought me to tears. My heart took an emotional hit when I gained insight into this trio. They all connect on such a deep level that you find yourself hopelessly drawn to them and you cannot stop at wanting to find out more about their story and how everything turns out for them.

This is, hands down, Dani René’s best work to date. HANDS DOWN. This story had it all, and the emotions had me a mess for most of it. It’s also important to note that I read this book twice, and the second time was just as impactful as the first, even though I knew what would happen... that is no easy feat at all, and shows the power of the writing in this book.
One thing that stuck out to me was the coherence and consistency of the flower and burning metaphors. The writing was poetic, the book read as a beautiful whole and unified piece, and is one of, heck, it IS René’s best compositions. There is no way you can read this book and be unmoved.
It’s books like these that make you realize the power of words. The most impactful moments in the book were a handful of words. But the weight and power those few words had? Unimaginable. René has tapped into something real and something heartfelt with this book, and it took my breath away.

Oh God, my heart is so tight with emotion after finalizing this story, Dani as every time it surprises me leaving your fans speechless.
Three broken souls can consolidate, yes they can. Katerina a teenager who lost her parents in a tragic accident learned early to survive, until her way was crossed by Ash and Ember two brothers totally different from each other while Ash is the storm Ember is the lull, which causes Katerina was attracted. But not everything is as it seems, everyone has skeletons hidden in the closet, and finding Katerina made them believe that there would be hopes in their lives.
More what they were not sure of was what would happen when the secrets were revealed, if both would be forgiven. And as Ash would react with secret that Ember hid from him.
Among Ash and Ember, it was a story that made me cry a lot, made my heart break with Kat, Ash and Ember. The way they connect, made me totally drawn to them by wanting to hug them and never let go.

When a book can make tears flow down your face, you know you have a five-star book. Dani has a way of making you feel so many different emotions when you read her books that sometimes you don't want to read them. You have to take a deep breath and say 'here we go' brace yourself and jump right in. Among Ash and Ember was that way. I had little idea on what I was getting into, and sometimes that is for the best.
Ash and Ember are just such beautifully written characters. Even for men, they have that asshole takeaway, but they make this book. The bond these two have made make the connection they have with Katerina even more powerful. Every game that Ash and Ember play has a winner and a looser but can there be a winner in the new game they are about to play?
I have to say that most times I am all about the female character, I route for them, and cry for them, and laugh for them. However, in Among Ash and Ember, these feelings were for everyone. If there is one book you read by Dani, this is the book!

Where do I even begin with how emotional this story is? My heart is beating, my tears are falling, and I am in awe of this author's writing abilities. When a story takes such a hold on your very heart and soul, I know it is a great one. Katerina loses so much so young, and as she grows up, she takes a path that many may not agree with, but she feels it's her only way. Then she meets Ash and Ember, and they want to help her, but she can't figure out why they are so determined. These two brothers have their reasons, and as you read, you will understand why. These three characters will ingrain themselves into your very being and you can't help but fall in love with all of them. This story will make you laugh and will make you cry, but I loved each and every word and so will you. A truly brilliant read.

Dani René killed me with this story. I can honestly say, this is the best I've read from this author, her best work to date.

A story that will embed in your heart so deeply that emotions become raw; flying to the surface seeking a way out. When a tear slips down, my heart aches. My nerves take flight and it’s the sadness, broken hearted emotion that tingles throughout my soul. I have read this book twice, and each time it’s no different… embers and ash are scorched but a flame holds within the midst.
Dani is such a profound writer that her characters become one with you. This is not like any of her other books, this is new. Fresh. And it’s one that needs to be read by all!

This was my first Dani Rene story and it was so good!
It wasn't action packed or jacked full of suspense, even though it had a touch of both. It was a simple story about connection, affection, and learning to live after so much tried to tear you down.
I loved Kat, Ash, and Ember. I loved the way they loved each other, the way they healed one another. I wish we could have had more time with all of them together.

This story just wow! I don't know what to put without given the tinys bit away of the story. The only thing I can say that it was one amazing heartbreaker and happiness read I have had from this author. I couldn't ask for more like I have say in some of my previous books that I have read I like to feel what the characters are going through and Among Ash and Ember I got that and so much more.
