The annual conference of the Alabama Community Leadership Network (ACLN) Conference: “From Standing By….to Standing Up….to Stepping In” will be held at The American Village – Liberty Ballroom located in Montevallo, Alabama on September 26, 2019.
The conference will begin with registration at 9:00 am and will adjourn at 2:00 pm. We invite adults and students from Alabama communities to participate. Attendees will hear from dynamic speakers and have the opportunity to network with other professionals and participate in multiple breakout sessions pertaining to leadership and community development.
Breakout Sessions include:
- Developing Leaders: Off the Bench – Developing a Community of Leaders for the Future
- Engaging the Community: Assessing Your Community Accurately
- Preparing the Youth: FUNdamentals of Youth Leadership
- Developing Leaders: The different Levels of Leadership – What’s Your Level and How to Improve
- Engaging the Community: Advocating for Your Health and the Community
- Preparing the Youth: Conflict Resolution – How to Overcome Bullies and other Difficult Situations in Life
The ACLN is committed to building, supporting, and enhancing community leadership throughout Alabama. Through the ACLN, we provide a diverse range of services to promote effective leadership principles including opportunities for sharing best practices, develop educational materials, host training events and provide consultation to communities to assist with local community and economic development initiatives. Our partners include the Alabama Power Company, Alabama Communities of Excellence, Your Town Alabama, David Mathews Center, Alabama Cooperative Extension System and community leadership programs throughout the state.

If there is no charge to attend the training event, the following policies are not applicable:
Fees: Payment of event fees, when applicable, may be made by check, money order or credit card. Payment must be received to guarantee your space in an event.
Credit cards are only accepted online; we cannot accept credit card data by phone - and never by email.
Refund Policy: If you wish to request a refund, please contact the conference organizer listed above to discuss. You may also elect to send a substitute in your place. If the event is cancelled, all fees will be returned.
