Dancing to a Futuristical sound at Academy of Prince 2023
Thank you for your interest in Academy of Prince. The program is open to teenage singers, songwriters, actors and musicians. Our two-week curriculum teaches Prince history and teachers and special guests include scholars and musicians who worked with him. Students learn Prince history and write and record their own Prince inspired songs. You will learn about Prince, hear his music, and compose and record your own songs in a professional recording studio — with sound engineers to guide you. Our teachers include musicians who worked with Prince for years. You will make real music by real musicians just as Prince preached. This unique opportunity is FREE and funded by donations to PurplePlayground.org and Grants from The Metropolitan Regional Arts Council and the Minnesota State Arts Board. Car pools and other transportation can be arranged. We welcome students of all learning abilities. Please email Heidi at
