Angels and The Word in the Spirit of Prophecy

Psalms 119:130 “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.”

"The key of knowledge needs to be held in every hand that it may open the storehouse of God’s treasury which contains stores of precious gems of truth. When the man is craving for truth from God’s Word, angels of God are by his side to lead his mind into green pastures." {Ms6-1888.13}

"Every child may gain knowledge as Jesus did, from the works of nature and the pages of God’s holy word. As we try to become acquainted with our Heavenly Father through his word, angels will come near, our minds will be strengthened, our character will be elevated and refined, and we shall become more like our Saviour. And as we behold the beautiful and grand in nature, our affections go out after God; while the spirit is awed, the soul is invigorated by coming in contact with the Infinite through his works. Communion with God through prayer develops the mental and moral faculties, and the spiritual powers strengthen as we cultivate thoughts upon spiritual things." {SpTEd 159.1}

"Truth is capable of continual expansion and to be seen by the diligent student in new and beautiful developments. While the mind is put to the tax to comprehend depth and breadth of the meaning of the sacred utterances of the Word of God, angels are by the side of the contrite soul who hungers and thirsts for knowledge." {Lt70-1893.12}

"There was something in the manner of Paul’s preaching that caused thousands of Jews and Gentiles to believe. Paul had many visions. He spake so convincingly that a great multitude believed the message given through the demonstration of the Spirit. The success was not to be attributed to the man, but to the power of God upon him. Angels were making the Word effective." {Ms128-1908.11}

"Because you are feeding on the Word of life and angels are right around you to make the due impression upon the human heart. The angels of God are in this meeting today. It is the angels of God that are trying to make impressions upon human mind whenever discourses are given." {Ms131-1909.13}

“Search the Scriptures,” was the injunction of the Master. Many have lost much because they have neglected this duty. When we search the word of God, angels are by our side, reflecting bright beams of light upon its sacred pages. The Scriptures appeal to man as having power to choose between right and wrong; they speak to him in warning, in reproof, in entreaty, in encouragement. The mind must be exercised on the solemn truths of God’s word, or it will grow weak. We have the truth brought out in publications, but it is not enough to rely upon other men’s thoughts. We must examine for ourselves, and learn the reasons of our faith by comparing scripture with scripture. Take the Bible, and on your knees plead with God to enlighten your mind. If we would study the Bible diligently and prayerfully every day, we should every day see some beautiful truth in a new, clear, and forcible light." {RH March 4, 1884, par. 11}

Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Pro 1:22-23 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

Amen.
