Bridges to College & Careers is a 23-week long college prep program that offers college-level academic classes as well as academic, career, and financial coaching.  We have three pathways available:

General Studies prepares students to go to Bunker Hill Community College, where they can study in the program of their choosing. Classes meet part-time in the mornings, allowing students to manage other responsibilities. Students have gone on to study subjects such as Healthcare, Nursing, Languages, Early Childhood Education, Culinary Arts, and many others .

Business/Technology prepares students or a career in the fields of business and technology offered at Bunker Hill Community College. Classes meet part-time in the mornings, allowing students to manage other responsibilities. In college, students major in in topics such as Finance/Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Management, Engineering, and Information Technology.  

Biotechnology prepares students for a career working in the thriving Biotechnology industry doing lab research, manufacturing, and quality control. Classes are part time in the evening. After JVS, students enroll at Quincy College in their yearlong Biotechnology and Good Manufacturing Practices Certificate program.

After Bridges we provide a smooth transition to either Bunker Hill Community College or Quincy College, plus ongoing career coaching. All of our programs are at no cost to students!  

To be eligible for Bridges, students must have:

-A high school diploma or equivalent, from anywhere in the world
-Intermediate or higher English skills
-Green card, refugee/asylee status, or US citizenship
