From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes a story of untold truths and one man’s redemption in the Dirty Mafia Duet.

Every family has a black sheep.
In the infamous Casso crime family, that black sheep is me—Cannon Freeman.
Except I’m not a free man. I’ve never been free. Not since the day I was born.
I owe my loyalty to my father, Dominic Casso, even if he won’t publicly acknowledge me as his blood.
I’ve never had a reason to go against his wishes… until I met her.
Drew Carson turned my world upside when she walked into my club looking for a job.
Now, my honor and my life are on the line.
Going against my father’s wishes might buy me a bullet straight from his gun, but black sheep or not, it’s time to make my stand.
She's worth the fallout.

The Queen of Cliffy's strikes again!!
For realz!! How the hell does this author do it!! Book after book, she makes me fall in love with the characters, book after book she manages to bring us something unique!!
This author just goes from strength to strength.

Not going to lie I inhaled this one, before I realised it I'd closed the last page. I loved our heroine Drew, she went where not many females were brave enough to enter, infiltrating one of the biggest mob establishments in disguise, called the 'Upper Ten' one of the most exclusive cigar clubs in Manhattan. This is where she'll find the evidence she needs to take down the Casso crime family, and only Cannon her new boss, the illegitimate son of one of the most notorious mobsters in modern times can give her the answers she's seeking.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I was on tenterhooks praying she wouldn't get caught. Hoping Cannon wasn't like his step father, one of the most powerful mafia families in New York. Hoping that somehow they can be together.

The cliffy has me needing/wanting that next book like a crack whore, hoping that it all pans out, hoping that it all doesn't end drastically, the pace of this was perfect, the characters together were scorching, their attraction sizzled off the pages. Another outstanding unique book by Meghan March that comes highly recommended by yours truly!!

Black Sheep was my first book by Meghan March and I can see why readers love her. Her writing is addicting and the story line of this book kept me intrigued all the way through. And that ending… Holy wow. I can’t wait to get to the second part of this duet! I’m so happy it’s coming next month!

This story follows Drew Carson who is a journalist going undercover looking for answers. She tries to find them by getting a job at Cannon Freeman’s club. Cannon is the black sheep of the Casso crime family, but he’s still her best shot at finding answers. What Drew doesn’t expect is to start to fall for him. Drew turn’s Cannon’s world upside down. He’s thinking things he’s never thought and feeling things he’s never felt. But learning the truth about her… it may change everything.

I listened to the audio version of this book and it was narrated by two of my favorites, Andi Arndt and Sebastian York. As always, they did an incredible job narrating this. These two always seem to bring their characters to life and keep the story flowing perfectly and I love listening to books narrated by them.

Reading Black Sheep kept me on the edge of my seat. It was captivating, suspenseful, and steamy. I am excited to listen to the next book in this series and I’ll definitely be checking out more from Meghan March in the future.

She’s a beautiful woman, who’s smart and private and doesn’t want a damn thing to do with me. Apparently, that’s the recipe for my downfall. Who fucking knew?

Crackalicious! That's the only way to describe this book. Pure, intense alpha male crack. The way only Meghan March knows how to deliver. It doesn't matter how many books I read by this woman. She never fails to suck me right back into her fictional word and keep me riveted to her words until the very last page. Her books are binge reads. Completely unputdownable until the jaw dropping finish. And if you've read her books in the past, you already know the woman is also the queen of cliff hangers. Her twists will have you crying for your mama and wine. In that order. But I digress.

If you've read Deal with the Devil, then you may recall Cannon. But boy, does Cannon have so much more than meets the eye. The man is intense with a capitol I. He's everything I've come to expect from March's alphas and so much more. He's utterly delicious.

Then there's Drew. You know what I love most about Meghan's books? The fact that she writes these fascinating, multilayered and strong heroines that I can't get enough of. And Drew was no exception. She's mysterious. She's stunning. She's also hiding some big secrets in her quest for revenge and answers. Unfortunately the one man that may hold the answers is also the man that tempts her like no other. Thus beginning a dangerous game where neither player knows all the rules and that's guaranteed to burn both of them.

The story was deliciously enrapturing. It was a page turner and thrilling from beginning to end. It's quick paced, sizzling, and completely addicting. I need, no I'm desperate for my next fix. My #MarchMadness is real here, people. My need for the next book is damn near rabid!

*** 3.5 Stars!!!***

I always look forward to reading one of Meghan March’s books! This particular one is a duet that features the son of a mafia boss, and an undercover investigator who is trying to find out if the mob boss is responsible for her Father’s murder. What Drew didn’t anticipate was falling in love with Cannon ( the son). What will happen to Drew when she is discovered?

I did enjoy this one but I found it was a very slow start. The second half of the book began to pick up, which makes me hopeful for a lot more action in the second book of the duet! One thing I didn’t care for in this story was Drew’s disguise. She mainly wore a wig, coloured contact lenses and used a fake name. It really bothered me throughout the story... and it made it hard for me to become emotionally attached to her and Cannon’s relationship. Until she is fully being honest, I just can’t seem to fully invest in her as a person!!!

Completely addicting!

I have been a massive fan of Meghan March since the first book of the amazing Beneath Series and I devoured and loved every-single-one of her books. This author has the unique talent of completely immersing you in her captivating world with her descriptive storytelling, unforgettable characters and enthralling words. Fast-paced, intense and deliciously sexy, Black Sheep met all my expectations and was worth every minute. I loved it! I loved how the story played out until the very end and not surprisingly, this book did end with a big cliffhanger that just made me more eager to get onto the next book. I listened to the Audible edition and the narration by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York was extremely well done and really made for a pleasurable listening experience.

The queen of cliffys did it again!! My poor heart, my fingernails, my nerves, my… everything is shot!! I can say that I want more but I would be lying to myself if I said that. Want implies that I would like to have more but there’s a part of me than can certainly do without it and I can learn about the outcome later on. So no… I don’t WANT the next book, I freakin NEED it!!

It’s been a difficult few months for Drew Carson and the only thing that’s on her mind is landing a job at the one place that can get her access to the most valuable thing that she needs. With a plan in place, Drew sets out to accomplish her ultimate goal but little does she know, complications will arise and it’s in the form of the handsome owner who happens to have ties to the infamous Mafia.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Going into this story, I honestly had no clue what I was going to get. I’ve read about Cannon in previous books but for some reason I’ve always overlooked him but shame on me!! This man demands your attention and everything else!! He was alluring, smart, calculating, sexy, and when it was time for him to show a different side, you felt like he was saving that just for you. I loved his authority and how he commanded attention and respect, but it was the way that he took care anyone that he deemed as important in his life that did me in.

I’m a fan of Mafia romance and even though that this didn’t have the full blown action that I’m used to, I still enjoyed the heck out of this one because it’s Meghan March people! She has a way of writing the best sexy alphas, kickass heroines and just when you think that you’ve fallen in love with everything, she gives you one hell of a twist at the end and have you clamoring for more!! Now if you’ll kindly excuse me, ill be over in the corner until September!

I'm so happy that I finally had the chance to read a book by Meghan March. It's been overdue for a long while and I can now say I don't regret a single minute I listened to this audiobook.
As always, Andi Arndt and Sebastian "Unicorn" York are absolutely reliable in terms of performance. They just always deliver breathing life into the characters they are trusted with.

If you are a first time reader like me, this is not a bad place to start - while there are references to previous books and characters connected to Black Sheep, you will have no issue at all following this one.

Cannon and Drew are as lovable as they get and as relatable as you can relate to a mobster's son and a somewhat famous woman hiding behind a wig and fake contacts looking for revenge. But those are just sides of their complicated lives.
Drew is hell bent finding evidence of her dad's murder. She thinks she knows where to look but doesn't know that the mobster's illegitimate son will be her downfall. When Cannon and Drew meet their attraction is blazing from the start and it doesn't take long for them to be totally wrapped up in each other. Insta? Yes, definitely, but did I mind? No. Not even a little.

As you follow Drew actually not uncovering a lot but still realizing that Cannon is deep down a good man, and Cannon falling for the mysterious Drew, you can't help but be invested and hoping for the best, although you know it won't end well.

Is the plot innovative? Not at all, but Meghan March still manages to pull you into the plot and live through every tension and twist and foreboding. And while I knew that there would be a cliffhanger, it still caught me off guard how BLACK SHEEP ended. I had one niggle towards the end that made me deduct a half star, when Cannon was a bit of a hypocrite and didn't trust Drew to do right by him.

I can't wait for the second in this Duet, White Knight, which will land on your apps in August!

MY REVIEW
Agh!!!! Meghan you are Killing me!!! The cliffhanger is an absolute bomb! OMG How could you????

In typical Meghan March style she has wowed me again with another amazing story. I don’t know how she keeps coming up with these AMAZING hot alpha male characters that have me mopping up my drawl every time.

Cannon may be the illegitimate son of a Mob boss, but his bad boy qualities are perfectly balanced with his good guy redeemable ones. In fact, I found him to be quiet the sweetheart and although possessive he was not obsessive.

Drew is very brave and very determined, she hides behind identities that are not her own in hope of avenging her father’s murder. She is reckless though, placing herself right into the middle of a very dangerous situation. One that could very well cost her life.

Hot, heavy and sexy encounters with Cannon, leaves Drew contemplating her original plan. She wants to bring the Casso Crime Family down, but will that destroy her heart and the man she has fallen for at the same time?

This has been another 5-star read I just cannot get enough of Meghan’s books, I cannot wait to see how the story concludes in White Knight.

4 YOU’RE MINE CROWNS

The queen of suspense and steam strikes again! Black Sheep ignited my kindle with the insta-chemistry between Drew and Cannon and enough danger to have me speeding through the pages.

Cannon is everything I remember from his secondary character stint in previous books. He is a black sheep, though, in more ways than one with his integrity and heart, straddling the line between mob criminal behavior and staying true to who he is.

Drew is probably one of my favorite Meghan March heroines because of her sense of justice and her bravery in the face of fear. She grapples with her goals and her growing feelings for Cannon, but, again, she has integrity and bravery in spades.

This story, true to a Meghan March book, has that suspenseful tone and insta-chemistry. There are moments were they connect emotionally, but they were just getting started as truths begin to come to light, which adds to the plot revelations. In what readers have come to expect, Meghan March ends Book one with a bang, and I’ll eagerly be waiting for the fall out.

Cannon and Drew are hot. The story builds with impending doom. The ending is epic. All culminating in a must read, quick suspenseful romance.

Queen of suspense-filled and angst-ridden cliffhanger endings, Meghan March didn’t disappoint with Black Sheep! She’s delivered an addictive and enthralling narrative—a forbidden romance between two complete opposites caught within a twisted situation that can’t be seamlessly unravelled. Full of grit and danger, the allure of this duet will render you riveted and invested in the sordid details of justice and retribution.

“You don't know what you want from me because you've never had a man determined to set you on fire, just so I can fan the flames. I'm going to show you.”

By intertwining herself with a formidable man dripping in sheer confidence and utter dominance, Drew Carson is flirting with inevitable danger. Despite said danger emanating from a deeper, darker world, her unwavering determination is admirable though somewhat foolish as she endeavours to find closure. She’s a fascinating enigma—a combination of numerous identities and buried secrets that form into this interesting, multifaceted character.

“There are a million things that should stop me, but not a goddamned one will. I staked my claim. I meant it. You are mine.”

Cannon Freeman exudes uncontested dominance. Consuming and intense, there’s no refuting the irresistible allure that surrounds this enigmatic anti-hero, or the commanding aura shrouding his notable presence. Despite having criminal associates, there’s a certain amount of surprising goodness lurking inside this hero as he carefully treads the delicate line between corrupt and honest that eases the tension in this duet.

“Careful. You’re going to give me the impression you’re running from me… which will only make me want to chase you.”

Drawn together by an immediate connection and irrefutable chemistry—despite the forbidden nature of it—Drew and Cannon have an earnest and fervent relationship, a fiery storm of wanton passion, that is on edge waiting to be unleashed. When it does, it goes up in flames full of desire and hidden affection, you can feel the heat singe the pages!

Black Sheep is fast-paced, but the suspense remains intense and enthralling. Shrouded in secrets and revenge, the excitement of witnessing certain events unfurl will leave your mind reeling and emotions soaring because, as it is with Meghan March, the ending is always a nail-biting, teeth-clenching cliffhanger.

Pure Meghan Magic!

Black Sheep is SO my jam!! Gah! I was a goner for Cannon and Drew from the very beginning! This is a phenomenal read and left me longing for more. Meghan March at her best!

Here’s what I loved:
Meghan March excels at writing strong determined women who own their sexuality. Drew is exactly. Strong willed, determined, and fierce. She’s not afraid to go after what wants. I love that so much in a heroine!
Another huge success is Cannon! Gorgeous, sexy, over the top magnetism and sex appeal. He put the A in Alpha! I never stood a chance. Lol But there’s also a vulnerability he exhibited. It was the key factor in my falling head over heels in love.
The storyline is solid and writing is great.
The narrator’s performances are perfection.
The ending will blow you away!!

Now, go one click this bad boy right now! You’ll be so glad you did! Highly recommended

4 “Mine” Stars

Meghan March knows how to draw in her readers with stories that intrigue as well as yield emotion and intensity. Black Sheep is fast paced, action packed, full of passion, and very enticing. And of course, it wouldn’t be one of hers without a delicious cliffhanger at the end.

Cannon Freeman is sexy, formidable, and loyal. He is a man of integrity and one who also has a heart that he keeps hidden. He’s just in a hard spot with a mob boss as a father. But he does walks the line, what choice does he really have? Drew Carson is a chameleon. It’s her job that allows her that ability. While she is beautiful, she is smart, fierce and has a drive for justice as well. But as fate would have it, these two are drawn to one another when they meet. It wasn’t in the plans, but it never is when fate is involved. As Drew and Cannon get closer, the secrets and lies get harder to keep. Will they lead to their downfall or just tie them closer together?

This author with her sexy alpha hero and her strong, resilient heroine, creates an intriguing story that is full of passion and fire, grit and suspense that borders on life and death. Cannon has decisions to make as well as Drew. The ending leaves you wondering and hoping that Cannon and Drew will join forces in White Knight. Will the Black Sheep become the White Knight and win the girl? Thank goodness answers will be coming soon!!

I am disappointed. This book fell short of my expectations.

I've read Mount Trilogy by Meghan March and I LOVE it. Keira and Mount are loveeee. Keira is such a badass bitch. I aspire to be her. Literally. My friend and I got so inspired by her that we got a temporary tattoo of 'No Man's Property'. On our wrists not asses. We are badass but not as badass as Keira. That shows how much I loved Mount Trilogy, so naturally, I had high expectations for this book.

I was expecting a really intense and thrilling mafia romance but what I got was a half-cooked revenge story. The revenge was such a hopscotched concept here. Like dear heroine did you even plan something or did you just think that you could bring down the most powerful mafia and put a mob boss in jail, the mob boss who could not be brought down by the FBI or any other mafia.

I was expecting a badass heroine but Drew was not that, not even close to that. She didn't put a single thought into her actions. She just wore a wig and contacts and thought she was ready to get revenge.

I was expecting an alpha male, an intimidating hero but Cannon was a far cry from it. He was meek for the lack of a better word. He did not have the 'I own the earth you walk on' vibe at all which was what I wanted from that blurb. My biggest problem with him was he told Drew whatever (a lot of focus on whatever) she was hiding, she could tell him and HE WOULD UNDERSTAND even if it were a hard pill to swallow, but when he finds out he is about to kill her. The duplicity of that man.

OMG, this book was awesome. Meghan has done it again. Drew and Cannon are just so WOW. You will get pulled into the story and the characters will seem so real. It will be like you are right there beside them, living through what they are going through and seeing what they see. You are going to feel every emotion as if it was your own. You are not going to want to put this book down and then you have no choice because you are hit with a cliffhanger but you know with Meghan’s books, it will be all worth it in the end. Meghan never disappoints. She just has a such way with stories that will always keep you wanting more. I have loved her work since Beneath this Mask and I continue to love it more and more each day. One last note - bring on book 2. I have to know how this ends.

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Oooh...scary

****3.5 Stars****

I can't pinpoint why, but I found myself more disgusted than scared of these Mafia men. Sure, I'm told that they kill and do horrible things but I didn't really feel it. If anything, the worse they did was make sleazy comments to women. There was a little pushing and shoving but I can get that in any contemporary romance. No one was tied to a chair, left in a windowless room for hours then intimidated into "talking". I guess that Black Sheep just wasn't what I expected.

Black Sheep is about a woman going undercover to infiltrate the mafia and find out who killed her father. The wig, contact lenses and heavy makeup don't hide her good looks and she soon comes under the radar of a man...a bad man. This is not how she planned to find out their secrets but she's willing to do whatever it takes to get answers. If she can only keep her heart from falling for the Black Sheep.

We get half the story in Black Sheep and we are left dangling at the end to suck us back for more in White Knight. This is something I've come to expect from Meghan March. While I'm not a fan of getting half stories, her loyal fans seem to love the torture. Fortunately for me, both books are out and I was able to listen to them as part of my Audible Escape package.

The narrators do a great job bringing this story to life and I found it very easy to listen to.

I will be back to find out how it all plays out but admit to a wee bit of eye-rolling with the insta-love between the hero and heroine. Hopefully, I'll be satisfied that their love is the real deal.

This story sucked me in from the very first page. Right from the beginning I had so many questions about Drew and who she was, why she was there, just everything. And I was captivated throughout the story as I dug to get my answers right along side Drew as she dug to get her own answers.

The more I read the more I loved these characters. Drew was a tenacious woman that didn't once let the danger she was putting herself in stop her from goal and I loved that about her. So many heart pounding moments were the result of her refusing to give up and she was the character that had this book so hard to put down. Cannon, though, there is so much we don't know about him still. There was an air of mystery that surrounded him and had me wanting to find out just what made him tick. I can't wait to read on to the next installment and get to know him more because I just know he will have one hell of an interesting story.

The cliffhanger at the end of this book had my jaw dropping open as I just stared at my Kindle waiting for the next page to appear. I shouldn't be surprised by now that Ms. March would leave us that way, but every cliffy she writes still manages to shock me. I'm starting the next book right away and I'm not even sorry to ignore reality a little longer so I can read it. Cannon and Drew had so much tension and passion between them I can't go long without reading more.

First book in a duet series that features the bastard son of a mafia boss and an investigation reporter set on finding the truth about her father's death.
It felt like the first part dragged a bit , but the second part hold all of my attention. Drew and Cannon have a real chemistry and tension from the start, but neither of them want to cave in to this feelings , this until Drew draws attention of Dom , the mafia boss, and Cannon declares Drew his in order to take her from his father sights.
Drew has lots of secret , one of them being her identity and the real reason she got a job at Cannon's Club. Against all her plans, Drew forms a relationship with Cannon and realizes that she is falling in love with him, and every day knowing him better and better , Drew comes to the conclusion that Cannon cannot have been part of her nightmare. But by the time she has decided to come clean in front of him..its a bit to late.
What will happen when Cannon finds out the truth about Drew? Can he protect the woman he is falling in love with against his father?
Well, Meghan March ends this with a big cliff , so onto the next book to find the answer to this questions.

Omgosh! No one can make me fall in love with characters like Meghan March! Every book I read, I think, THIS is the best hero ever... it doesn’t stop with Black Sheep. Cannon is everything. You want to smother him with love for what he missed in his childhood, forgive him for the choices he had to make, jump his bones for his bad boy hotness! Drew is just what he needs in his life! Finally a woman comes along who will turn this Black Sheep into a White Knight! What a cliffhanger! Can’t wait to read the rest of their story.

~ 5 Black Sheep Stars ~

Another GREAT story by Meghan March!!! I love how her mind works. Her stories always suck me in right from the start. If you haven’t read a book from Meghan March….what are you waiting for?? You need to start this fabulous journey NOW!!

Black Sheep is filled with suspense, secrets, deception and romance. Exactly what you have come to expect from a Meghan March book.

Her books always grab me right from the first page and don’t let go until the last page. And as usual she hits us with a heck of a Cliffhanger!!! So as you can guess Black Sheep is NOT a standalone novel. I can’t wait for White Knight to come out….I need to know what happens!!!

Black Sheep is the first book in the Dirty Mafia Duet. It is the start of Drew and Cannon’s story. Yes there has been glimpses of Cannon from previous books, but I don’t feel that they have to be read before enjoying this book. I thought this was an exciting start to their story. I know I can’t wait to see where this story goes. As with most Meghan March’s books I can’t talk about the storyline at all. Everything I want to say is a spoiler for other readers. Just know you will WANT to read this book. Just know the intrigue and intensity of this story will keep you on the edge of your seat and turning the pages as fast as you can.

As I said this story is fast paced and captivating. It is told in Dual POV. I loved that fact because I loved being inside both Drew and Cannon’s head. It truly helps the reader connect with the characters better.

I could ramble on and on about this book and this author but I will just leave you with this… READ THIS BOOK!!! You won’t be sorry!!!.

Black Sheep is book 1 in the Dirty Mafia Duet and this is Cannon Freeman’s story. We get a glimpse of him in previous books so it was really exciting to hear we get to know more about him. Something about Cannon really drew me to him. Born the illegitimate son of a notorious mob boss, not officially acknowledged and not treated the greatest. He knew his life would not allow any entanglements, but with the appearance of Drew Carson, you see a softer side, the protector. She is a mystery to him, he knows she is hiding something, and he is absolutely fascinated with her. The moment he saw she may need his protection, he was all in.

Drew Carson, a chameleon with her own agenda, steps into Cannon’s world purposefully and thought herself prepared. She is tough and determined, but as she too gets to know Cannon, her views starts to change and begins to question her decisions. I am not going into specific, but their story is a doozy. The anxiety of waiting for how and when all the secrets were going to be revealed was extremely high and kept me on pins and needles. And the ending was intense, and a cliffhanger, I seriously can not wait for White Knight!

OMG where do I start, Cannon Freeman you first heard of him as the best friend and 2nd in command from Creighton & Holly story in Dirty Billionaire series. Who knew not only is Creighton, Eden (Beneath Series) & Cannon are all seeds from the notorious Dom Casso mobster. Cannon is the "Black Sheep" he spy on Creighton all those years became his best friend and right hand man. Once Creighton found out he fired him and never has spoken to him again.

So now in Black Sheep Cannon's own story he is still Dom's stepping stool never acknowledged as his illegitimate son and now the manager/own of one of Dom's legitimate clubs "The Upper Ten" an exclusive cigar bar in New York.

In walks Drew Carson for an interview to be a waitress and immediately you can see the sizzle between Cannon & Drew, however Drew is in disguise and she has never let anyone see her true self. Everything she has on her resume is a lie but how else would she get into this bar to investigate & infiltrate The Casso family. Drew is determined to find out what happened to her father at any cost and take the entire Casso organization down. What she didn't count on is the attraction, affection & now love she feels for Cannon. Drew should run leave town before everything she has worked for is torn from her grabs all for revenge for the love person who has ever loved her and taught her every investigative skill she has. Lets hope it not too late cause now she has put Cannon & her life in jeopardy.

Right when you think Meghan March can top her last book her comes Black Sheep a must read!!!!!

Cannon is going to blow you away! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read

I just finished a super early copy of Black Sheep & Cannon’s story is so intense, complex & interesting! I have not read a book this fast during a weekday in a long while.... could not put down!

We all know Cannon Freeman as being second to Creighton Karas... we all know what happened there. So Cannon gets his own story and it is all we have hoped and wished for!

Will this girl be the one or the one that gets him killed!

I've been impatiently waiting for Cannon's story and it definitely did not disappoint. Cannon was every bit the sexy, dark and dangerous alpha male that will leave you hanging on every word of his EPIC story. Drew is the mysterious, beautiful woman who NEEDED answers but caught the attention of the one man she knew would be her downfall. This story was filled with all the reasons I've come to love a Meghan March book..... suspense, intrigue, seduction and an ending that has me screaming "NO"! If you LOVE a book that has you inhaling word after word, your heart racing with anticipation and an ending that has you trying to flip pages that just are not there because there's no way that could possibly be the end..... then this is definitely one read you don't want to miss!

ahhhh I LOVE Sebastian York's voice. I will find every book that he narrated and just listen to it.

Black Sheep was an okay mafia book. It intrigued me in some places and I was kind of interested in this whole Romeo and Juliet kind of romance. There was obvious chemistry between Cannon and Drew/Memphis. Even though she was undercover for most of this book, I still thought that once he figure out her secret that nothing bad was going to happen.

Mostly because these two definitely had that insta-craziness. So much amazing smut but knowing me.. I was waiting for the other shoe to drop. It dropped but it was kind of lame. The entire time she was trying to bring down this mafia family for a death in her family but along the way she fell for the one person who made her think that they were all innocent. It was cute but I felt like no one was really mad at her for betraying them ya know?

Overall, I loved Sebastian's voice so much that I flew through this and the second book. Ugh, I need more. Also, a happy ending would be nice. I hate cliffhangers.

I thought that this was a really enjoyable listen. I have enjoyed Meghan March's books in the past so I was pretty confident that this would be a good fit for me especially when I realized that Andi Arndt and Sebastian York were handling the narration. This book is the first book in a duet and it does end in a bit of a cliffhanger but that isn't a big problem since the second book is due out soon.

The book opens with Drew trying to get a job at the club that Cannon runs. This isn't a normal club. It is a club connected to the mob. Cannon is the illegitimate son of the famous mob boss, Dominic Casso. Cannon isn't the only one with something to hide. Drew has an agenda when she tries for a job at the club. She is looking for some dirt to expose the family that has caused her pain.

I liked Drew and Cannon together. They were both hiding things but I thought that they seemed to be real with each other when it mattered the most. They were both put into their positions by events that were outside of their control and had great chemistry throughout the story. I loved the way that Cannon felt protective of Drew almost from the start. I thought that they made a really great pair and fit together in almost every way.

Andi Arndt and Sebastian York did a fabulous job with this audiobook. I think that their voices really compliment each other with this kind of story. I thought that they both were able to capture the personality of the characters and added a lot of emotion to the story. I am pretty sure that I liked this book just a bit more because of the incredible narration.

I would recommend this book to others. I thought that this was a well-done romance with just the right mix of chemistry, steamy scenes, and suspense. I can't wait to see how Drew and Cannon's story ends!

I received a copy of this audiobook from Audible Studios.

Initial Thoughts
This was enjoyable. I liked the characters well enough and thought that they had some great chemistry. The book ended right when it was getting really exciting. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Oh my, oh my, oh my, Meghan March the queen of addictive reads has proven once again with her latest offering why she is deserving of the title. Black Sheep slowly reeled me in until I was completely hooked on Cannon and Drew’s story. I could not get enough.

This is the first book in the Dirty Mafia duet and it has a wicked cliffhanger ending that had me screaming at my kindle. I was aware there would be a cliffhanger, but I sure did not expect that shocker. Thank goodness, I received the arc for the sequel. I do not think my heart could manage the long wait.

Suspenseful, intense, sexy, passionate, provocative and addictive is how I would describe this story. It had me biting my nails, as I feared Drew’s secret would come to light, thereby placing her in extreme danger.

Meghan’s heroines are strong and independent, and Drew Carson was no different. She has balls of steel, infiltrating the mob world so she can gather evidence needed to take down the Casso crime family. Being an investigative journalist who has broken many stories, she had only to worry about getting out alive. Well, that was until she laid eyes on Cannon Freeman and she realized that not only did she put her life in danger, her heart was also at risk.

Cannon is the illegitimate son of the notorious mob boss Dominic Casso. I expected him to be ruthless and uncaring, but I met a man with a heart of gold. Not that under the right circumstances he would not become ruthless.

I loved Drew and Cannon. I thought they were great together. The way Cannon stepped up to protect her when his father had her in his cross hairs revealed his protective nature, which I found endearing.

Narration
This is my first time listening to Andi Ardnt and Sebastian York, and I loved their voices. They brought the characters and the story to life. I had fun listening to their narration.

Conclusion/Recommendation
Black Sheep provided an intense and suspenseful read that you cannot afford to miss

Meghan March is back with another story of simply taking her breath away. Black Sheep is the first duet book to tell the story of Drew and Cannon, a amazing, sexy, intense book that made me stick to the pages until the end.As for the characters I can only say that I loved both. Both are intense, complicated and full of passion which makes the dynamics of the relationship between them be explosive. And what about that ending? With each book she is overcome and this end left me open-mouthed, with a thousand questions, no answers and desperate for the next book. I can't wait for what the author reserves for these characters.

I like this author a lot but this book was nothing new or extra in this mafia genre. It was a very routine revenge trope and it was extremely predictable. I kept waiting for a twist or surprise to interject something new to this book but Nope! It was simply what you expect and the heroine fell for her mark.
I am curious enough to listen to book 2 because I am hoping that the author was holding back. But this was sooo cliche

ALL HAIL QUEEN MEGHAN.

This book just pulled me out of my 2 month reading slump.

100% her best book yet. Cannon and Drew’s story had me enthralled from page 1! I don’t know how she does it, but every book gets better. This is exactly what I wanted and more.

I am dying for book 2!!!
