SE Portland Tool Library
Like the public library... but for tools and seeds.
SEPTL is a free community resource that provides home and business owners, and tenants, with hand and power tools they need to perform simple maintenance, tend to yards and gardens, and build awesome projects – while along the way meeting and sharing with neighbors.
For your safety and that of our volunteers and other members:
Only 4 members are allowed inside at a time, so a heavy dose of patience may be required
If you are becoming a new member, please be sure to sign up on our Join page before arriving!
Maintain a minimum 6 ft social distancing
Masks are recommended but optional (New as of 7/12/23)
If possible please come alone and do not bring other household members or friends with you.
Please check the Our Tools page before you come in to borrow to know exactly what's available, and for some tools their Shelf Number.
The loan period is temporarily doubled to 14 days. Of course 7 day returns are very welcome!
To maximize tool availability for everyone, renewals are limited to 1.
Hours
Tuesdays : 5:30pm to 7
Thursdays: 5:30pm to 7
Saturdays: 9 to noon
Lending Guidelines
Tools are for non-commercial use only.
Loan period is 14 days. Late returns result in a Fine.
Tools may be used only by members.
