In keeping with a 30-year tradition of informing AARP members and Florida voters where candidates stand on the issues, AARP Florida is pleased to invite residents of Congressional District 19 to participate in a virtual Community Conversation with Congressional Candidates from 6:30 – 8:00 pm on July 15, 2020. This Community Conversation is made possible by the support of AARP Florida and WINK-TV.

Our Community Conversation is not a debate. Moderators ask questions solicited from the audience (submitted during the event registration process screened for relevance, appropriateness and redundancy) or pose questions themselves. Participating candidates volunteer to answer the questions, then the moderators and other candidates may ask follow-up questions or provide comments. In turn, those candidates may then have further comments/questions directed to them. Once the candidates get “in the rhythm” a moderated “conversation” ensues.

Join us to learn more about where these candidates stand on the issues important to older adults, such as protecting Social Security and Medicare, affordable prescription drugs, strengthening long-term care, empowering family caregivers and Coronavirus response.
