Local 1 janitors who clean the Cuyahoga County Public Libraries (CCPL) have been putting their health and their lives on the line every day to ensure that librarians and community members are safe & protected during the pandemic. Now, it's time for us to stand with the Library janitors as they continue negotiating with their new employer, Summit Building Services, for a fair contract that reflects their hard work and dedication! Although Summit Building Services has finally agreed to recognize their employees' union, they have been consistently proposing anti-union right-to-work language, drastically cutting their employees' hours, and refusing to honor the benefits that janitors won in their previous collective bargaining agreement. Join CCPL janitors in sending a message to the Library and to Summit Building Services that community members who patronize the library are standing with janitors for a fair contract that reflects the values of the Library & the hard work of the janitors!
