Parents will meet for the Plant for the Planet Parents' Workshop at 9:00 also at Cooper Mountain.
(In case of rain, we may move the parents to nearby Bilal Mosque at 4115 SW 160th, Beaverton Oregon 97007.)
After the Workshop, which will end at approximately 11:00am, parents can go out for coffee and then return to Cooper Mountain by 12:30, in time for the students' afternoon presentation and graduation.)


Adult and current Climate Justice Ambassadors volunteer here to help run the Academy. Students new to Plant for the Planet register at:  http://bit.ly/CCR-May14-2017-Reg-Students.

There are many ways volunteers can help; no special knowledge is required to help, though please share with us any special skills you could contribute to the Academy. We can especially use the skills of teachers and retired teachers since they help the group work with students to go smoothly. Please email Pam at: vergun @alumni.stanford.edu with any questions.

At the Academy, students learn to inspire Climate Change efforts, teaching one another about Climate Change through making presentations, planting trees, and participating in other activities as Ambassadors for Climate Justice. They learn the science of Climate Change, how to give a Climate presentation, tree planting, and and how they can engage their communities and make a difference for their future.

Academies are FREE to students ages 9 - 17, who in addition to the training, receive free lunch and snacks, an Ambassador t-shirt, and the book "Tree By Tree”.
