The life of a playboy pilot most definitely has its ups and downs…quite literally and figuratively. The lack of attachment and platinum membership in the mile-high club can be satisfying, but I find it's lonely, never having anyone to go home to.

Though publishing many non-fiction works over the years, "She's a Tiger Lily" will be the debut of her fiction work and beginning of a series.

This is a new author for me and I just fell in love with the characters. Dawson ends up in the ER after a bar fight and that's where he meets Vixie. Being a pilot, his eyes are important and Vixie as an eye doctor will do whatever she can to insure that he's taken care of! I loved their instant connection but how are they going to make this work? And does Dawson really want a relationship? When a book pulls me into the story like this one did, it's a joy to read!! I think I'll be looking up more books by Tiffany Carby!! Wonderful story!!!

A delightful book by Tiffany who was a new author to me. Dawson gets into a bar fight and comes away with an eye injury and ends up in the emergency room and meets Vixie an eye specialist. They have a wonderful chemistry despite being doctor and patient. This book had all the feels and some suspense that made it an enjoyable read. This book is part of The Cocky Hero Club but can be read as a standalone. I received this book as an arc for my honest opinion.

To my knowledge this is the first time reading a book by this author.
Hmmm this book took me by surprise. I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy this book but I did.
Dawson (Dawx) and Vixie have this special kind of chemistry.
This book has banter, drama, friendship, chemistry and love.
Carter (Trip) and Kendall (Playboy Pilot) are in this book so you know you are in for a good read.
The author keeps you wanting to turn those pages to see what happens.
Another fantastic Cocky Hero Club series novel - congratulations.

When Vixie's called into work to examine a patient, it leads to something neither of them were expecting. But he's a patient, he's not one for commitment, and their schedules are insane (once he's cleared to fly again), so how can they ever to be expected to make anything work?
I didn't expect the suspense plot, but was glad it was included, because it helped move things along. Dawson and Vixie are a great couple for two people not looking for love, but finding it anyway. The little bit of suspense, combined with hot chemistry make for a great addition to the Cocky Hero Club.

Captivating commander was so good!!! I loved the chemistry, and attraction between Dawson and Vixie, which was sizzling from the moment their eyes met...and they meet because Dawson gets into a fight believing that he is defending a woman from an idiot but things aren't always what they seem as you'll discover later in this book. Vixie is not only called in, but called back to the hospital to check Dawson's injuries, especially when one may involve his sight in one eye and they don't want to mess around since Dawson is a pilot and this injury could be career ending if things aren't done right. Vixie goes above and beyond and a friendship of sorts develops. Vixie could see herself being with Dawson, but knows Dawson is not looking for anything long term and besides, with their careers, when would they ever see each other? Now Dawson is feeling things for Vixie that he doesn't normally feel and he's wondering the same things, but he's living in the moment and neither one wants to confront the elephant in the room. Eventually they have to though, Dawson is healing, and soon will go back to flying assuming he passes his medicals from the airline. Will they decide to give things a go? Y'all are just gonna have to read this awesome book to find out!!

I enjoyed my flight!!!
I am new to the Cocky Hero World Series but was already a huge fan of Tiffany Carby! This book showcased Mrs Carly’s talents and only confirmed the fact she is one of my favorite authors!!
Dawson and Vixie’s story was filled with drama, humor, sexy times, and so much more! I loved reading along as these two broke some rules and proved that they meant to be broken…
I found this book to be a perfect addition to this already established literary world! I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to read more from Tiffany Carby!!

wowza!! Love love love this book!
I love Dawson and Vixie! From the moment Dawson ended up in Vixie's ER they were both captivated by the other one. You'll love the banter between them. You'll laugh often. This is truly an amazing book. From the moment I started reading I was held hostage and couldn't put it down. You'll feel as if you're part of their world. I love when I good book does that to me. This is a new author to me and I'm very impressed.

Dawson is a hotshot pilot that enjoys being single and having his freedom. He loves his job and cannot think of any other job he would rather do. One night celebrating at a bar for his friend's bachelor party he gets into a fight. He is badly hurt and needs to hospital. Unfortunately, his eye is damaged and is in need of surgery. In walks a beautiful ophthalmologist that will be his Dr. for the surgery. Will he be able to fly again? Will this Dr. make house calls? Does Dawson get special treatment?
Vixie is a top notch ophthalmologist that has been called in for a consultation on an eye injury. Vixie wants to start her own practice and knows that working in the ER is a stepping stone to that. When Her patient is a hot pilot that is worried that he may never fly again. Upon meeting her patient she is taken back by how handsome he is and how easy it is to talk to him. She is attracted to him but he is a patient? Does she think that maybe if giving his special treatment that thing could go beyond the Dr. patient relationship?
This story is sweet, enjoyable to read and has a few laughs. Tiffany does a great job of building the relationship between Dawson and Vixie. Their character development is great and you see the trust and friendship grow between the two of them. I would recommend this book if you love reading HEA stories that make you feel good.

I've been following the Cocky Hero Club from the jump, and I have to say that the best part of it (other than the amazing stories) is the fact that I've met so many new to me authors because I don't know about you, I can certainly use all the authors (like Tiffany Carby) I can find in my life! Dawson is a pilot who ends up in the ER after a bar fight & there's an issue with his eyes to the point that he can't see. Enter Vixie, an ophthalmologist who is going to do her best to heal that issue so he can fly again. The moment these two meet the sparks are flying but of course, there are some complications to the whole thing. Oh, and there's a suspense factor thrown in to really get me going in my happy place. Finally, the supporting cast is top notch of course so you really can't go wrong with Captivating Commander! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

What would you do when you did the right thing and the outcome could possibly cost you everything? Dawson is a pilot who winds up in the Emergency Room at the hospital after getting into a bar fight. Vixie is the ophthalmologist who is called in to look at Dawson to see how extensive his injuries are. From their first meeting, the chemistry between the two is like a jet engine burning hot. The more time they spend together, the fire keeps burning stronger. However, when all is said and done, is this the beginning of a relationship or just another fling during a stopover? Overall, this is a well written storyline with emotion and steam that will keep anyone’s interest.

This was a cute story. you have a bunch of pilots at a bachelor party what can go wrong right? You would think nothing, but not this time. Poor Dawx thought he was sticking up for a lady and it didn't go as planned. he ended up with a cut on his cheek and an eye injury that ended him in the hospital. for pilots their eyes are everything. He met a nice Dr, in the Emergency room. Dr. O' Neale Explained everything to him and that she would perform surgery on him in the morning. Dr. O' Neale checked in on Dawx after surgery and a friendship blossomed. This story has a lot going on in it. friendships are made, crazy people are found, and even sadness. This story is a must read. I really enjoyed it.

This is a great addition to this amazing series and is Dawson and Vixie’s story. Dawson is a playboy pilot, who loves his life, and when a bar fight leaves him with a potentially career ending injury he ends up in the ER. Vixie is a workaholic doctor of ophthalmology, and she is on call for the ER when she is brought in to attend to Dawson. There is an instant connection between these two, and the chemistry is sizzling and undeniable. What will happen when Dawson gets all clear to fly? This is a well written story which is fun, emotional, and with drama, suspense, witty banter, passion, turmoil, and love, which all leads to humorous and entertaining riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

While attending a bachelor party Dawson’s attempts to be a gentleman don’t turn out well when he finds himself in the ER with an eye injury that if not treated property could end his career as a pilot.
Vixie is the ophthalmologist who is called in to treat his injury which requires surgery. Their relationship doesn’t end when he leaves the hospital and the chemistry between them ignites. They both know that Dawson will be leaving once he is fit to fly but will what they have shared be nothing but a fling or the beginning of forever?
Humorous interactions, great chemistry and a little intrigue that allows us to not only get to know Dawson and Vixie but catch up with Trip and Kendall as well.

Dawson hot shot pilot, playboy, and in town for a bachelor party when a punch sends him to the ER. Vixie ophthalmologist, ER, Dr. And has been called in to fix his eye. When these two meet sparks fly (literally) and the more they see of each other the more they fall for each other,but what will when he can go back to flying? Will they be able to make it work or will they lose each other? A beautiful, emotional, steamy, romantic story that will have you laughing, shedding a few tears, and fallimg for these two. I was pulled right in and didn't want it to end. An amazing read and I can't wait to read what she has next.

When Dawson gets in a bar fight and needs to go to the ER and his career is in possible jeopardy Vixie is there to help him. These two have instant chemistry and her bedside manner takes on a Whole new meaning. This was a fun read. I loved The easy funny banter between these two and how relaxed they were with each other so quickly. I’m looking forward to reading more books by this author.

There is so much more to Dawson. At first glance he comes across blase, but after tragedy threatens his world, his true depth is exposed. Captivating Commander is a journey of self examination. Carby takes a person that thrives on being an enigma and exposes the heartache within. Life gives this playboy a wake-up call. Out of tragedy comes a courageous story of love, hope and redemption. Dawson and Vixie stick to the heart by inspiring the soul.

Dawson is an airline pilot who loves his job. When on a layover for a bachelor party he is all about just having some fun, but sometimes that fun can turn tragic. When he ends up in the hospital he will do what he can to get out of there. Vixie is an eye surgeon who is adorable and such a great doctor. She will do whatever she can to help Dawson. These two have a friendship that has its rocky moments and some fun ones. I enjoyed this story.

I liked the quotes in-between chapters, and found the suspense angle to be a great addition that helped keep my attention.

I love how other people you’ve read/heard about are in other books, like this one. Dawson and vixie meet at her job and it up to her to see that his career will be ok. The attraction starts and goes from there, they have the chemistry and the banter between the is great to, good story to read and enjoy

This was a great story about being able to see more than what is actually there. Dawson and Vixie have great chemistry and I loved the back and forth and banter and the friendship they develop. Although it's not easy, I loved seeing their journey and growth.

This is a new author for me and I will say that I was blown away at the amazing storyline and how well written it was. The characters really blew me away and the story held so much passion and emotion throughout. I look forward to reading more!
