Five stars for Rocky and Gage 💕!

"Tap Out" is my first MMA romance book that I've read and I like it.
After I've read "Power Play", I was wondering would be the next book the same good as the first and now I have the answer 😉!
Ally did it again and impressed me with her writing style and the new book. I can say that I love this book more than the first one 🙈.
The chemistry between Rocky and Gage is so real that you just want to them be together no matter what.
If you're looking for a sports romance with a lot of hot chemistry between the main characters, you should read this book!

I'm in love!! Have I ever told you guys how much I love fighter romances?? No? Well, I do! They are some of my favorites but sadly a lot of the books are more like mentioning the guy is a fighter and then that is that. This book is nothing like this.
Gage is everything. I loved him from the beginning, and it also helps he is a smoking hot fighter that is one huge ass man. He is one of those guys that when he sees something he wants, well watch out world because nothing is getting in his way. That was precisely what happened after he saw Rockey.
Rockey is one badass woman! I want to be her when I grow up (whenever that will be). She rocks at everything and can put any guy on their ass, being all classy and feminine at the same time. She works in the gym where Gage just started, and everyone knows her word is law in there and they better not get in her way when she says it how it is.
But what really had me hooked on this book and have me starting binge reading every book Alley Ciz have written after I am done with this review is her world-building. She has built up an amazing sport world in this book where there is a huge ass group of friends/family that are all badass, funny, loyal, and incredible in some way. It is a mix of hockey stars, fighters, rock stars, gay couples, authors, pr woman and well an entire team of people any sports people need in there life and more and it is all formed out of one big friendship.
How Alley Ciz kept up with all these people and made it so I could keep up with it was a small miracle, but they made this story all that it is. I was eating up all the banter, support, and group text conversations in this book. So I promise you are you looking for a sports romance this is your book. You will get so much in the sports department it will lead you thinking any sports romance book before this was lacking somehow compared to this. Do you crave some girl power feels then this is your book too, or maybe you are looking for a slow burn romance without too much drama, well then this is your book too.
So basically what I am telling you is no matter what read this book. ASAP!!

You know when you just
have
to read a book. Tap Out was that book for me. Firstly, it was because of Power Play. (If you haven’t read it, you must). It’s through that book that I got a good sense of her writing style. She’s sarcastic, her heroines are feisty, and some of the best use of ingenious jesting I have seen in a book, thus far. I laughed, cried (happy tears), had a spit take or two (Thank you, Alley😉), and just overall swooned. Secondly, I’ve been blessed in life to be able to work with athletes and Alley, truly, brought me back to that time. Her accuracy with styles of fighting, taping procedures, the overall fighting program/routine, and of course, equipment (uh-hum, wreck bag. 🤣🤣🤣) was completely true to life.
Rocky Steele. I must admit that I have a slight crush on her, because I want to be her. She is a Physical Therapist with many credentials behind her, hence, why she is ‘Alphabet Soup’. She comes from an MMA family and knows how to take care of herself. She is fierce, passionate about life and career, beautiful, and fit. She is not afraid to not only stand her ground but push you off of it and out of your comfort zone. The girl has mad skills. There is one small thing that is her weakness. Her childhood crush on Gage James.
Rocky and Gage are so passionate and hot, but they are truly the key to each other’s lock. I loved this couple so much. There are so many ‘goals’ in this book, that it was easy to fall in love with Tap Out. #RelationshipGoals #FriendshipGoals #FamilyGoals #WhoWantsToBeInACoven (goals).
Alley Ciz wrote with absolute perfection. Her timing, plot line, story line, topic accuracy, and pacing were all on point. The ability she had to absolutely swarm and encase me, completely making me feel as if I was the one sitting on the couch next to any member of the group, or ringside was outstanding. Tap Out, remember to put that on your TBR right now!! You won’t want to miss it!!
Gage is more than a man, he’s a mountain at 6’7”, 260 lbs., with corded, sinewy muscles…um, yes, please! 🙋. However, besides, his external physicality, he is sweet, family oriented, protective, and alpha protective to the core, with a true love for his MMA job. Straight up, Gage is a catch.

Tap out is book 2 in the BTU Alumni series and can be read as a stand-alone, but if you want the full effect and you want to know all of the inside jokes then make sure you read Power Play first as you will be seeing a lot of the crew from there in this book.
I love MMA romances, and Alley Ciz killed it will Tap Out. She bought to life not only the BTU world but all of the sports that makes up a large part of their world too.

(Kinda makes you want him to be real huh?)
Return to the BTU world where you can party and be best friends with The Coven, Laugh your ass off with all of the hockey and MMA guys antics and swoon so damn hard you may need medical attention.

Alley Ciz created a world of BTU alumni that gave us the girls you wanted to be besties with and men you wanted to crush on. When we first walked into this world, the gang was just in college now they are all grown up and thriving in life.
I loved Jake and Jordan but OMg Rocky and Gage are their own. 🙌🏻
Rocky and Gage are passionate, not just about each other but about their love of MMA. Not only is Rocky gorgeous and fit but so smart earning her the real t handle alphabet soup for her many degrees. Who wouldn’t want to fall for their celebrity crush- enter Gage. Gage is so hot that who wouldn’t want to “bang him like a screen door in a hurricane.”
The chemistry between them is off the charts, be prepared to have to hose yourself down. 🔥🔥 get ready to lose yourself in the well researched world of mma fighting. A job well done on helping someone with no experience in that subject understand the hard work and dedication it takes to be a champion.

Oh Gage! Why are you so perfect?

I usually don't like MMA/boxing/fighter stories. BUT!
Rocky and Gage are EPIC.
I loved this story so much.
The BTU crew are even more fun in Tap Out than they were in Power Play!

You guys. I don't know how to convince you enough that you need this book in your life.
This book is one of my top books of the year.
I think about it all the time. I reference it enough that the Hubs knows what I am talking about. And let me tell you, he tries - keyword tries- to be interested in my books. Just like I try to be interested in his politics and music. So I am happy if I get a teasing remark about a cover or plot. For the man to know the names of the characters, the jobs of the character, and especially the Author just tells you A. He really has been listening B. I have talked about it way too much about this book. He basically has read the book but by me retelling it to him in pieces.
@Alley grew leaps and bounds as an author between book 1, Power Play in the BTU Alumni Series to Tap Out book 2. The book structure, the scenes, the dialogue, the character development, the chemistry, the drama, all of it is better. Not only are all those things improved, the characters and the story itself will also grab you.
Now. Honesty time here folks. I was so sexually frustrated through so much of this book. The slow burn was so intense. You FELT what those characters were feeling. Oh the LUST.
I'm not even joking at all about being sexually frustrated. I posted about it on June 17. When I got a sneak read bwhahahaha!
For real though. Wall Sex. Straight up being real with you. This is a fantasy. Hey Rose, why is this a Fantasy, you're married. You are too open about your intimacy with the hubs. We know you like and get the Vita D on the regular. So why is this a fantasy?! Let me tell you. I have no muscles- slight exaggeration, but only slight. Plus I have a crap back after a car wreck and it doesn't like it. Hates it actually. Should have tried it when I was not post baby body. But can I live vicariously through Gage and Rocky? Why yes, yes I freakin can.
Can I send snippets of the scandalous material for point of reference to the hubs. HECK FREAKIN YES. And I have.
You have Gage. He is Alpha. So so Alpha, BUT he lets. HA! I said lets. Gage can not change Rocky and make her do what he wants. Gage, 'lets' 'allows' embraces, loves, admires, all that Rocky is. She is his equal in all ways. She tells him when he is being an idiot. Loves him when he doesn't feel like he deserves it. Needs him like no one else.
Rocky is not what you would call a docile feminine creature. She is a beast. She is my spirit animal. She is strong, independent, so knowledgable, and human. She feels like she cant 100% be who she wants to be because of the family business, and with that, she doesn't want to be second place to anything involving the family business. For once she wants one be truly important in someone’s life.
Add in coworker llama drama, arch enemies, social media, and kick a ** secondary characters gets you this fabulous, side holding, thigh clenching, fist pumping, giggle snorting, heart swooning, half naked men punching, head shaking book of awesomeness.
Alley, I don’t know if I can handle any more of your books if you grew this much and created so many emotions in my poor body. But you are stuck with me. I can not wait to see where this series is headed.
Now I’m going to go and try to convince the hubs he needs to start training like Gage.

I stumbled across this author's debut novel by complete accident but it sounded like my kinda story so I signed up for an ARC and I can honestly say I am so happy I did. And when the opportunity came along to sign up for her second book in the series I was right there. Sadly my goldfish memory kicked in and I picked up this book to read it and had completely forgotten that
A) it was part of a series and
B) who it was about.
Luckily for me as I started reading it all came flooding back and I was so hooked up in the characters and their story I really couldn’t have put it down if I had to. Before I rant any further on how much I love this group of friends and family I first want to mention the fact this is told in third person which is almost an anomaly in itself. So few books are written that way any more that normally it takes me a bit to get into the swing of things but not so in this book.
From the first page I had a serious girl crush on Rocky and “The Coven” and then I fell madly in love with Gage. I love sports romance and it has been way too long since I have read a good MMA hero. Gage was the perfect mix of sexy AF muscled man and sweet and sensitive boyfriend. I loved him so much. And the way he cared for and supported Rocky was so sweet without taking away from how much of a kickarse chick she was just added extra icing to his Henry Cavill looks.
Rocky was awesome and having the background from her close knit group of friends and family just added so much extra dimension to her. And as I read more the different secondary characters all came back to me and I remembered why I signed up for this book as soon as I put the last book down. This group of friends is exactly the group of friends I would want to be surrounded by, you know if I wasn’t an introvert with too many kids and extremely codependent of my husband. Oh well it was fun reading about them and pretending they were real for a few hours anyway and I can’t wait til November to get my hands on the next book in the series.

This book seriously blew me away! I knew this group of characters was going to be a fun group from reading Power Play, but this book took their dynamic to a whole new level.
Rocky is a fierce, independent character. She works hard to prove herself, and is always willing to put other’s needs above her own. The way she interacts with all of the other guys at the gym and her friends shows that she is trustworthy and a genuinely good person.
Gage was a bit lost. He didn’t really know what he wanted out of life besides being the Heavyweight Champion, and he didn’t realize he was missing out on anything until he landed at the gym. His outgoing attitude is what made him fit in instantly with the group.
The instant attraction between these two was undeniable. You could tell they both felt the pull, but they both had different reservations about pursuing anything. The back and forth, will they won’t they, aspect of their relationship had me flipping pages as fast as I could to find out what happened, and it definitely didn’t disappoint! I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time!
This book includes one of the best group of secondary characters I have ever read. They are all intertwined in several ways with some of them dating in the past. The banter and pranks that take place among this group had me wishing I was a part of their world. I cannot wait to see who ends up with who in the upcoming books. I can already tell it’s going to be one wild ride!

Gage is so god damn hawt!!!

I loved that Gage and Rocky had chemistry from the start and that every page just got better and better.
I loved everything about this story, I am a huge UFC watcher so I loved that Gage was apart of that world and even Rocky was a badass.
Nothing about this book was wrong or bad everything was amazing and I couldnt get enough of Gage James. Boy oh boy Alley Girl I needed a fan through most if it.
The passion, drama, love and friendship through out this book was what made it.
I loved having back the crew and seeing glimpses of them throughout.
Alley always does an amazing job at showing you enough to make you want more. I could have kept reading Gage and Rocky there story was like an epic fairytale come to life.
I was hooked form the get go and nothing could keep me from drooling over Gage James. He was epic hotness with enough charisma to make you melt.

I loved Gage and Rocky and their romance made for a really enjoyable read. But honestly there were just way too any side characters taking over the focus of this book and it took away from the actual main characters. I love series about a close family or close friends but not when those side characters start to make a book feel slow and unfocused. Which is what happened with this one, at least for me. Rocky and Gage were pushed to the background one too many times, especially with the long draw out text message exchanges between the other characters that were thrown in.
I'm still excited to get to know the rest of the characters more and will definitely be continuing with this series.

Alley Ciz is back with her BTU series. Tap Out is the 2nd book in the series and features Rocky and Gage.
She delivers such a great read with great characters. The main hero and heroine are so well developed and have amazing chemistry together. Alley Ciz writes such memorable characters that you can’t help but anticipate more from the BTU cast.
Rocky and Gage are relationship goals. They are both such strong characters, physically and mentally. Everything about this story will have you hooked from the cover to cover. Oh and speaking of cover, it is perfect. It captures Gage and Rocky exactly how I pictured them.
This is a must read and I highly recommend it to all. So fricken epic!!

Oh man this was so good! Alley has delivered another absolute winner! Absolutely loved Rocky and Gage and that this tough fighter completely fell head over heals for Rock. Loved that all my favourites from Power Play were back and that the BTU family's so much bigger. Can't wait for the next one in the series!

There's a before and an after tap out for me. And I will tell you why. When I've first heard that this book is about an MMA fighter I thought...ok, let's see what you got. Considering that my first book boyfriend is a certain Remington Tate. So this was the biggest challenge for Alley. And her book. For me nobody has ever compared to Remy. Nobody until I met Gage James. Beside the 🔥body and a hundred skills that hero has a golden heart. Has something you need. He may be a champ in the cage, but he is also a champ outside of it. What is the thing that I most liked ? He isn't an arrogant a**hoe who tries all the girls like they were just for his enerteimant. He is the type of the boy next door. You can always count on him as a friend. He is a family type. And when he cares about someone he doesn't use half measure. About his girl? Obviously the mutual attraction is instant, deep, consuming and sooo hot. And I liked his vibe and his way to treat Rocky like the most precious person in his life. Always giving her the 1 place. Always putting her first no matter what. Always protecting her and of course loving her hard;)
Their relationship just click from the very beginning. They are attracted to one other and they get what they want.

And she does it again! I cannot even explain how much I absolutely love all the words Alley Ciz writes! Third person POVs I hate, I will read one line of a book and close it and never pick it up again. But when Alley writes she can make me not even realize it's third person.
I loved Jake in Power Play but Gage in Tap Out, OMFG! Just let's not tell Jake I may love Gage James more! I mean after you read Tap Out, who wouldn't want to climb him like a tree?
Gage starts training at Rocky's family gym. She's a physical therapist and her father is his coach. Just a few minor details they need to deal with. I did not like her father through most of the book.
Gage and Rocky's book is full of hot af sex scenes that will leave you thinking "where the fuck did that come from?" However they are absolutely perfect for Gage and Rocky's story. Alley has this amazing ability to know exactly the kind of sex her characters need. I loved Jake and Jordan's sweet sex, but man did Gage and Rocky leave me fanning myself.
We get to see a few characters from Power Play in Tap Out so if you have not read, here's your chance go do it now!!! You won't be disappointed.

If I thought I liked this gang before, oh man they own my heart now. I laughed out loud so many times and it's amazing to see how they all love, support and complete eachother. What an awesome group of people. Can I join?
Where do I even begin?
To be honest, at first I was reluctant and didn't know how I would feel about this story and its main characters because they were not really introduced previously and I just assumed the next book would be about either Ryan and Madz or Tucker and Skye.
Rocky and Gage: well, I loved them.
The chemistry and tension is of the charts and the fact that Gage in all his imposing presence can be so sweet and swoony and hot and sexy as hell all at the same time, is just the best thing ever.
Rocky is pure strength, sass, independence, sexiness... I want be like her when I grow up, thank you so very much.
I mentioned it before but I think it's worth saying it again: I tend to avoid books written in the third person; I don't know what it is, or how/when it started, but eventually because sort of a pet peeve of mine.
However, some stories and characters are worth my effort to try and bypass it: Alley Ciz's work is one perfect example of this.
In conclusion, I'm in it 'till the end.
Lady Alley can give me all the books, about all the characters/couples and I'll gladly read them, and meet this posse over and over again is an incredibly appreciated added bonus.

It’s time to Kraken!!!!!
OMG!!!! What can I say but excellent job Alley Ciz. Tap Out was everything I was expecting and so much more. I felt in love with Alley’s writing in Power Play when I met “The Coven” and “The Guys”. In Tap Out we met Gage ”The Kraken “ and Rocky “Alphabet Soup”(just by their nicknames you know their personalities are going to be one of a kind). Their chemistry is off the charts 🥵 and I love the fact that even do the sexy scenes were steamy hot (melt your panties hot you better have a fan next to you 😂) they also were a lot of sweet and caring moments, they stood for each other to face challenges that they encounter. Gage and Rocky were the perfect couple for me and I absolutely love them. “Heck” the whole gang of friends are one of a kind I think I enjoyed so much their interactions when they were texting each other( hilarious by the way 😆) or when they were in the presence of each other making me feel like I was part of the gang. I had so much fun reading Tap Out and even though it can be read as a stand-alone book I would definitely recommend reading Power Play first.

I am so impressed with this book! I loved Alley’s debut book Power Play but Tap Out was even more AMAZING!! The story between Gage and Rocky was perfect!
Gage “The Kraken” James is a MMA fighter who moved to the East Coast to be closer to his cousin who’s wife was about to have a baby and wanted to be closer to family. His old coach hooked him up with a new one so he could continue his career. He’s with his cousin in a bar when he meets the most amazing women ever! Rocky, a physical therapist at her families gym. She’s the one that’s putting a submission hold on a drunk guy getting a little too frisky! His perfect women! What a coincidence that she’s his new coaches daughter. He’s completely enamored with her from that first meet and Gage just happens to be her celebrity crush that all her friends know about.
Like I said before, I loved Power Play but Alley killed it with Tap Out! I’m so ready for the next book! I can’t wait to see what Alley’s brain comes up with next!!

Alley Ciz has a TOTAL KNOCK OUT with this book! It's a one-two punch of comedy and romantic heat.
I was incredibly lucky to be given an ARC of this book. The book is a mixture of amazing characters and a great story plot.
Rocky is a fierce beautiful woman that has a huge group of close friends that are also a family. She works as a physical therapist in her family's gym. She is incredibly smart, good at her job and after a lifetime growing up with fighters never plans on dating any of them.
Gage is the UFC Heavyweight Champion and has mostly been solitary in his life. Gage moved across the country to be closer to his small family and start at a new gym for training. Gage thought he was prepared for anything but he wasn't prepared for Rocky.
I can't wait to read the rest of Alley Ciz's books as they come out.

Gage and Rocky *sigh*
Power play was sweet, fun, and flirty, but this book was so much more.
It was sexy, hilarious (I almost choked on my dinner) and the steam whooo. It was fast-paced, the secondary characters were as fun as the main. I need to know it all.
Alley Ciz grew tremendously as an author and I can't wait to see what she brings for Sweet Victory!

I think when I first read Alley Ciz's Power Play, I was taken back to a time when I had left school and was around the same age as the Characters in this book. It reminded me of my time but it was before mobile phones (when really it wasnt that long ago lol).
But here we are a few years later, school is gone Careers are being forged, friendships are still as strong, but these guys have certainly grown up. Alley Ciz was "holding out "on us in Power Play, and in a way it is respectful of the age they were at the time.
Now there is no holding back and OMFG these guys have grown up and I loved the digital world we are now in.
The Commeraderie is amazing the setting of the scenes and events that have happened since leaving school. This time we are back with rocky and Gage's story.
I want Gage Im jealous of Rocky and I absolutely adored how he fell hard and fast and he wasnt afraid to show it to Rocky and to her dad.
you just have to read this book, I dont need to tell you the plot read the blurb and do yourself a bloody favour and read it. Gage doesnt lose ever, and gage is not going to lose the girl
This band of friends makes you want to be part of them and i enjoyed this book so much. Alley is on a winner here with the BTU Alumni Series.

I for one cannot wait for the next book in this series, as if this is anything to go by, Alley just keeps better as the Series moves forward.

God this book fit me with all the feels! She wrote yet another amazing book.
I have to say that I loved Gage right from the get go. There was never a point while reading did I hate him. That rarely happens for me lol. I always at sometime hate a hero haha. But Gage, nope no hate just love with his beastly 6 foot 7 inch self. I love me some UFC fight nights and for him to be a fighter was such a cool thing to read. To be honest I haven’t read but maybe 2 fighter books, this one being included. It was such a cool and different read.
Rocky I just loved her bada** self! From that first bar scene I knew she was going to be a heroine that was sassy and feisty and who I just loved. Now I said I didn’t hate the hero but let me tell I hated her father at some points but in the end he redeemed himself lol. Also how man people get the chance to say their celebrity crush moves in next door, trains at her family’s gym and ends up liking her?!
Everything about this book was simply amazing! Her world building and having the same characters from Power Play, book 1 for those who haven’t read it yet and WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Go read it them come and read Tap Out! I could go on and on about this one but I won’t you get my point haha.

Oh my God, what can I say, what can’t I say??!! This book was freaking awesome. I was given this book as an ARC, and I offer my review freely.
This is Alley’s second book, so quite a new author. You really wouldn’t believe it as she comes across in her writing as seasons and so professional.
Rocky and Gage. The two main characters in this book with an extended family consisting of actual family and friends from her debut book Power Play.
Sexy sportsmen, strong and sassy women. Sex scenes that were so 🔥🔥🔥 make you think about waking your husband/wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/partner/significant other or whatever title floats your boat to or as in my case actually do it 🙈 Strong chemistry, hilarious camaraderie and my personal trope where you can keep up with all of your favourite characters in follow on books in a series.
Ciz’s books cover a variety of tropes, from your sports, to your romcom. If you’re not into either of those, but you’re into hot sweaty sex, there’s plenty of that to keep your heart thumping and the juices flowing.
I was left thinking and singing Jase and Vince and Gage OH MY, Jase and Vince and Gage.
Five stars from me and a huge round of applause. Roll on book number three. I can’t wait.
