August 25, 2021I’ll stick with not rating this. Don’t wanna put bad mojo on LC’s new release. I’ve liked his earlier work a ton more than the newer ones. I had to skim through and was very close to dnf’ing.
It was the ultimate hot story premise of older bro’s best friend but there was much role reversal imo. The H isn’t alpha at all. He’s a modern city-ish guy but he knows how to build things. He really has no aggressive volatile tendencies to just go and make a grab for his girl. He dawdles around quite a bit and every time the h and H are getting on it, it’s always because the h is getting beyond desperate and pushy and needy.
The h was really beyond mortifyingly needy. Girl, hang on there a bit. If he wants you bad enough, he’ll come and get you.
A light hearted book with easy writing. Nothing that excited me at all and ‘Pea’ needed some lessons pronto in preserving class and integrity for women. Extremely needy h.

Suspense, tension, second chances, and some very steamy passion is what you get in this Logan Chance romance. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Vaughn and Paisley is golden and the back and forth had me smiling but also on edge waiting for them to finally give in. The story also has some suspense and mystery that left me surprised in the end.

What a page turning story! From the moment I opened my kindle I didn’t want to put it down. Vaughn is a man I was swooning over with right alongside Paisley. The “will they, won’t they” had me rooting for them non stop and then when you throw the suspense into the mix I was thinking of so many scenarios of whom could be behind it all. Never did I expect the end results and left my jaw on the floor. Phenomenal standalone that you need to bring to the top of your TBR list and make it your next read without a second thought.

Oh how I loved this book!
I just adored Paisley and kind of wanted to kick Vaughan sometimes, but they eventually figured themselves out.
There was some drama but a hea wasn't too far behind and it was the perfect ending to this story. And can I say that the sexy factor was 5 out of 5 hotness flames for me.
Pick this book up and have a thoroughly enjoyable time getting to know this couple.

Cold hearted bachelor where? I didn’t get one hint of a cold heart from Vaughn. This was fluff with a smidge of mystery. For a Logan Chance story this was pretty basic. I appreciated the mystery storyline but this was definitely not LC’s best work. Overall this was OK.

I love that Paisley is her own person. She knows what she does and doesn't like. She loves her family and friends. She doesn't sublimate herself to them but she does think of their happiness and safety as well.
She's enthusiastic. Determined. And oddly shy around the man who has always had her heart.
She thaws his cold heart. He simply can't resist her anymore. He wanted to protect his and his mother's found family but he should have known they'd accept him for Paisley.
This was everything I hoped it would be.

I've been anticipating this book for a while.
I've been anticipating this book for a while. Logan did not disappoint.
Paisley and Vaughn are like super sleuths. I loved the little bit of mystery and suspense.
The prologue had me hooked since reading about her Vaughn v- gina. Haha This book has everything you could want. It's sweet, steamy, sexy, sleuthy, did I mention steamy? Highly recommend.

Many questions
How did the police knew it was a stalker after getting her house vandalised? Coz she didn’t tell a soul about the email before, the call only happened after the house incident.
Where was her best friend after paisley texted her to meet at the club? She never appeared again.
The whole plot Rhonda/Jackie doesn’t make sense at all.
How Jackie new V address and apt number?
Did P or V press chargers? Property vandalism, blackmail and false accusations towards V and S business …would be nice to have a conclusion.

Why to mention he had doubts if he was going to be a good guy for P- not like his father who left him and his mom, and not explore this sentiment with P?

It was a good read. I didn’t think the title actually fit, because he wasn’t cold hearted, he just set some boundaries to not for the daughter of the man he considered more than a father to him. Totally understandable. So aside from that the book was good with a good suspense.

Whenever a book by this talented penner of prose arrives on my Kindle, I drop everything and quickly dive into the story. Let's face it, a guy who writes romance is an anomaly, and one who does it well comes along about as often as Hailey's comet.
To say I devoured this one doesn’t do it justice. I’m pretty sure I inhaled it without breathing throughout the whole thing. Brother's best friend and unrequited love are the theme here, with a little home reno and nefarious antagonists to keep things interesting.
I loved Paisley and Vaughn's story and loved them together. Their lively banter is so much fun and their chemistry is sure to heat up your device. Low on angst, this quick-paced page turner is just the thing I needed for a satisfying evening of escape into romance. Independent, big-hearted Paisley and protective, not-at-all-cold-hearted Vaughn are just the ticket to take your mind off of things for a few hours. I have no doubt you'll live them as much as I do!

Wow! Just Wow!
I’ve waited for this book to be released and let’s just say Logan did Not disappoint, I loved Vaughn and Paisley, their relationship is not your typical boy meets girl.
Vaughn is Paisley’s older brother Spencer’s best friend, and now business partner, she’s been crushing on him since they were young but when the feelings weren’t mutual …. (Or were they? ) she was determined to not let herself get disappointed again so she made it her business to avoid him for almost 10 years as much as possible that is until he was volunteered by her family to help renovate a house she had just bought.
I loved the banter between these two and I loved seeing a side of Vaughn where even Paisley never expected, we get so much in this story you’ll see funny rom com that Logan is so good at, and some angst thrown in, and suspense, and the “I did not see that coming plot twist” that will leave you gasping, let’s not forget the steamy that he is so known for and yet nothing was rushed everything flowed brilliantly throughout the story….. I highly recommend you “One Click” this phenomenal book but don’t make any plans because as soon as you start reading you will not stop until you reach the last page.

I read this last night and just couldn’t put it down. Paisley is sooo in lurrrvvve with her older brothers best friend but avoiding him since he rejected her long time ago. But now that they’re older, there is a reason why he did what he did. Add in a bit of suspense, and the hot hot hot chemistry these two have. Dangggg, this guy and his inner thoughts, he sooooo damn sweet and romantic when he finally let’s go of all the worries. I loved it, it was so enjoyable. I hope Spencer gets his own book!!!

I finished it but the pace was pretty weird. The author just told you exactly what to think and didn’t let the audience think for itself. Everything felt forced to push the storyline along.

This was a super cute book. I loved the characters and the adorable nick name Vaughn had for paisley. There is a lot of backstory to these two that make it even better and a little suspense thrown in too. Overall I really enjoyed it.

Cold Hearted Bachelor was a quick, fun read with a bit of a forbiddenness to it, best friends younger sister. While Paisley had grown up tagging along with her brother and his best friend Vaughn. Who would have thought that maybe there was a reason she was tagging along with them?
At sixteen Paisley had tried to get Vaughn’s attention but knowing that she was off limits he pretty much just dismissed her seeking it. It was heartbreaking for Paisley because she was deeply enamored with him. The truth was she would never forget his rejection.
It’s years later, Paisley and Vaughn haven’t seen each other during this time. Vaughn is stunned at how grown-up Paisley, not to mention gorgeous. During this time her brother, Spencer and Vaughn have started a construction business, so she is still off limits in his mind. But when it’s pretty much settled that he is going to help Paisley with the remodel of her new home it begins to stir past feelings. The only difference this time is that Vaughn just might be more receptive to it. ~wink, wink
Yet Vaughn has always been a player, one who never wanted to do relationships. Remember though that there is a lot of really hot-blooded chemistry between them. As things heat up, Paisley’s womanly ways start to permeate Vaughn mind. Even so, where will this go for them? Now add a bit of who did it to the mix and things really start heating up!!
Leave it to Logan to have me hanging on the edge of my seat until the end.
Great book, perfect for the afternoon at the pool/beach!!

I love big/brother’s best friend romances. Paisley has been in love with Vaughn for as long as she can remember, until he humiliates her and she moves on. I like her character: she’s quirky, independent and driven to do things her way. Vaughn being unsure of her as he was, finally comes around and they have a sweet love story.
There is a lot of action in this book and it will keep you guessing as to why things happen the way they do to this couple. I love how Paisley tries to do what is right, and Vaughn stubbornly pursues her, even when he is confused as to why she has moved on from him. He starts out thinking he is not good enough for her, and ends up knowing he is the only one for her.
A sweet love story with heat and suspense. A fun read as always when reading a Logan Chance book.

FINALLY! I've been waiting for this book forever!
However, where the the first two books, in this series were snarky, humorous and sex. This one is more. It's filled with angst and self doubt and a giant mystery.
Paisley has crushed on her older brother's best friend Vaughn for years. In high school, when she finally works of the nerve to take the initiative, he crushes her with his rejection!
Fast forward 10 years. Paisley has made avoiding Vaughn an art form. She's heard rumors that he is nothing more than a cold- heart bachelor, who gets off getting women off and then moves on. He's never had a real relationship.
Vaughn sees Paisley and the the woman she has grown into. He has always felt something for but because she's his best friend's little sister, he knows to stay away. PLUS he doesn't think he's good enough for her.
When a stalker starts to terrorize Paisley, Vaughn wants to protect her any way he can. The more time they spend together, the more the sparks ignite until Vaughn realizes he can no longer resist temptation. Then the steam starts to burn and you better have something nearby to help you cool off!!
The stalker has me guessing, until the end. I was close to figuring it out, but I guess I missed a few vital clues.
This story is a wild, sweaty ride with a great HEA.

Vaughn is successful, intelligent and not made for relationships. But when he’s thrown into helping his best friends little sister, something shifts. He decided to suck it up and help his best friend/ business partner out and do this favor for the girl he was supposed to treat like a sister. But when she’s in danger, his protective side comes out. His feelings come in hot like getting hit by a tractor.
Paisley has always watched the boy next door. Her brothers best friend. But after being humiliated and rejected by him she didn’t want to go down that path again. But, when her brother offers up Vaughn’s help, she doesn’t have much choice but to accept it. Old feelings come out, especially when she can be in danger. Now, paisley needs to try to hold back the feelings that are painted on her face.
I really enjoyed this book. There was definitely some twists and turns I didn’t see coming. I love the main characters, and hope to see more from the group. Especially Spencer.

Another amazing read by Logan Chance. I just love how this author can bring you a story that is entertaining and grabs your attention right away. Once I started reading this story I couldn’t stop, Vaughn and Paisley were amazing.

When they are working together on a project, their attraction is undeniable. However, just when they are getting started, what seems to be a stalker begins to harass Paisley.
She tries to ignore it, but it soon becomes overwhelming.
Vaughn and her family pull out all the stops to protect her, but they soon learn the stalker has another agenda in which Paisley is only a pawn. A part of that agenda puts the fragile relationship between Vaughn and Paisley in jeopardy.

Wasn’t good
This was a very quick read. There was poor character development and the plot was chunked together by cliches and shallow narratives. I couldn’t fully picture any one character in my head or see them as a fully developed person. The storyline had potential but was overwrought with overused cliches and surface level emotions and conversations, which came across as lazy writing. I feel like I don’t know anything of substance about any of the characters and the villains didn’t make a lot of sense. I’ve never read anything else by this author so I don’t know if this is par for the course, but I hope not. The author could have made the book fifty to a hundred pages longer so as to build out the plot and develop the characters more and it would have been better and more suspenseful. However, the narratives and discussions also didn’t seem to flow or feel organic/realistic. Overall, while mildly entertaining, I would not recommend to other readers.
This was a very quick read. There was poor character development and the plot was chunked together by cliches and shallow narratives. I couldn’t fully picture any one character in my head or see them as a fully developed person. The storyline had potential but was overwrought with overused cliches and surface level emotions and conversations, which came across as lazy writing. I feel like I don’t know anything of substance about any of the characters and the villains didn’t make a lot of sense. Another novel about a brother's best friend, but not your typical brother's best friend novel!
Paisley has pretty much been in love with Vance since age 9, however, humiliation at 16, end him up on the list of Paisley's hates.
But, her brother and father convince Vance to help her remodel, frankly save and remodel an old farmhouse she bought.
See start out innocuously, the boom! Logan Chance changes brother's best friend romance into something completely unexpected.
Allow me to say, the suspense is good, the twist is better. The entire family getting involved makes it great!
I loved how everything came together, and there were certainly some moments and one liners I couldn't help but laugh over!
Again, since the first book I read of yours Mr. Chance, you gained an avid follower waiting for what comes next!

I enjoy reading this authors books. I can "see" the story as he tells it and "feel" for the characters as he develops them. Vaugh and Paisley have known each other since before they were teenagers; they grew up together. Vaugh feels that he is not good enough for her and she's "crushed" on him from the start. He is best friends and business partners with her brother and looks up to their dad. Due to a danger, that threw them together, they give into their feelings, which surprised no one, but her brother Spencer. Vaugh wants to keep Pea safe, and she wants to solve the stalker/slander problem before it ruins Vaugh and her brother's company. I figured who the villain was just before the disclosure. Well done, Mr. Chance.

Sweet story of falling for the older brothers best friend. Paisley has been secretly in love with her brothers best friend since they were kids. Vaughn was also secretly in love with Paisley as a kid but never felt like he’d ever be good enough for her. 10 years later, they find themselves working together on her dream house when circumstances have them spending more and more time together making it hard to remember why that can’t give in. Sweet moments, seriously hot sexy times, and a little real life drama make up this latest Logan Chance offering. Watching Vaughn and Paisley get their HEA was spectacular.

What an amazing story! I wish I could give 10 stars!
I have been so excited to read Vaughn and Paisley's story since the series started and boy did Logan deliver!
Vaughn was all kinds of swoony and sexy rolled into one. While Paisley, I just fell in love with her personality from the get go...she had me cracking up! I mean come on, who doesn't have an underrated veggie obsession lol! Those two were just fun and perfect and sexy together!
When I read one of Logan's books I know I'm going to laugh but oh, is that some mystery thrown in? But wait, look out here comes the sexiness. Then we are laughing again before some suspence! Then it just gets HOT! That's how amazing his books and writing is! You don't know what to expect and you can get a bit of anything!

I absolutely loved Vaughn and Paisley!! This story has all the amazing feels that you expect from Logan Chance. Paisley is awesome and it’s not just because she loved peas , she’s determined and sacrifices herself for love. Vaughn is swoon worthy and your typical bachelor. He’s always wanted Paisley, but knew he couldn’t have her, she deserved so much more.
But fate stepped in and between finding a stalker and losing jobs, he couldn’t not have her. They relationship blooms and they fall so deeply in love. This story is also very sexy, there chemistry is amazing. They truly are incredible together.

Another amazing book by the amazing Logan chance! Once I started I couldn’t put it down! Paisley is a spitfire and Vaughn is the hot construction guy we’ve all wished would come and build something for us.
Paisley is the little sister that tagged around her older brother and his friends. She had a not so secret crush on Vaughn her brothers best friend. She had an embarrassing night with him and did everything she could to avoid him. Until fate and her family threw them together.
