Step 1 - Welcome

Welcome to our Video Screening Interview

CDS The Place to Be

Interested in Working for Canyons District?

Help Us Get to Know You Better.

Canyons District has become the go-to destination for college-trained educators from Utah and around the country. Many are drawn by the state’s natural beauty; Canyons District is within driving distance of eight ski resorts and five national parks! Perhaps it’s our size—big enough to have outstanding resources and teacher supports, but small enough to have to rely on each other to do our best work. Or maybe it’s the Board of Education’s unwavering commitment to recruiting and retaining the best and brightest education professionals. Recently, the starting salary for a first year teacher was raised to $59,350 for those with a Bachelor’s degree and $65,050 for those with their Master's degree!

If you’re reading this, it’s because you’ve met our CSD recruiters or expressed an interest in CSD. Take a moment to complete the following video interview so that we can get to know you a little better. This virtual recruitment tool allows you to record your responses when it’s convenient for you and enables us to review your interview in a timely manner. For your information, the completed video interview will be active for positions that become available for the remainder of the 2023-24 school year & the 2024-25 school year.

The online interview process will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Follow these step-by-step instructions to prepare yourself for the screening interview process:

    • You will need to record yourself from a desktop computer, tablet, or mobile device with a webcam.
    • Ensure you are able to upload your current resume and educator license status on the application page.
    • Candidates that are graduating this year and do not yet have their license will have an option to choose so and verify when you will be graduating.
    • After you complete the application, you will see a practice question. Spend as much time as you need on this page watching the tutorial, reading the instructions and practicing until you are comfortable with the interview process.
    • Some tips: Dress as you would for a professional interview and keep your behavior professional (we understand when the family pet or child runs through, life happens!).
    • If you are not ready to complete the interview at this moment, simply refer back to the link that will be sent to you four hours after you start the application process.
    • Be aware, if you do not complete your application and interview within two weeks of starting the process, we automatically archive your profile. To access the link after your application is archived, email csdemployment@canyonsdistrict.org to reactivate your application.
    • Individuals needing accommodation during the application and/or interview process should email CSDEmployment@canyonsdistrict.org to arrange for assistance.
    • Relax and have some fun! This step in the application process gives you an opportunity to demonstrate your verbal communication skills and style.
